Alexandria at Fuse Lenses = Customer Service Royalty I recently ordered two frames from Fuse Lenses and had a small hiccup--only one frame arrived. But let me tell you, the one that did show up? Absolutely blew my mind. The packaging was clean and professional, and once installed, the lenses made my shades look better than the originals. I took them out for a test drive and couldn't stop saying to myself, "The colors, man... the colors!" The AMP color-enhancing tech is no joke--it's like seeing the world in HD for the first time. I'm still getting used to them, but it's hands down one of the best purchases I've made. I almost wish I'd gone with prescription lenses too--next time, for sure. Now, about the missing frame--this one had sentimental value because it belonged to my mother. Naturally, I was concerned. I usually prefer speaking to someone directly, but I started with an email and eventually got a phone number. That's when the magic happened. I called Fuse and was greeted by Alexandria, and before I could even explain, she said, "Is this Mr. Rodriguez calling about the missing frames?" I was stunned--it felt like she was waiting for my call. She immediately took action: apologized, confirmed they were tracking the second frame, promised to email me a tracking number, and said she'd call me once it shipped. And she did--same day follow-up call, next morning email with tracking info. I mean, red carpet treatment. Alexandria didn't just resolve the issue--she made me feel like my order was a priority. Her speed, empathy, and professionalism were next-level. I literally walked out of my office and told my team, "NOW THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE. THAT'S HOW YOU GET THINGS DONE!" Fuse Lenses, if you're reading this: Alexandria is a gem. If she ever moves to California, I've got a job waiting for her. And if management doesn't recognize her for this review, Alexandria--reach out, I'll send you a gift card myself. Thank you for turning a hiccup into one of my top 10 customer service experiences of all time. I can't wait to receive the second frame. Fuse Team, you've earned a loyal customer. --Albert R. I owned a pair of 20 year old Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses that had scratches on both lenses. I went to Ray-Ban who couldn't help me because they no longer made the glasses. I went to a variety of local glasses stores who couldn't help me. Then I found Fuse! For $60, they shipped me a box that I could send them back my glasses. I selected the lenses I wanted them to put in the glasses from their website. About a week later I got my glasses back and I am thrilled!

I can't tell you how happy I am with their products and service. I took in 6 frames that needed new lenses. Some prescription and some regular. Because of doing a bulk order, they gave me a great discount! My Pradas are better than new with new lenses and new nose pads! I got two progressive prescription lens and two progressive prescription sunglasses and I like these way better than the ones I got at America's Best and LensCrafters! All Oakley frames! I'll definitely be a return customer. My only wish is that I had gotten progressive and transition lens! So I will be going back for that! I'll add pics later! They also gave me some nice protective/cleaning bags for all my new glasses and gave me my old lenses back!

Every visit ends up being hours long, planned for that today. But this was going to be all day and not be able to get glasses which is the whole point of the visit. Why wouldn't you call the patients scheduled and explain the situation? People take time off work. It's just a bit disrespectful of people's time and effort. I was contacted by the office after this review. Appreciate that and the explanation of the unfortunate timeline of events. I have bumped this up a star (ok) but overall my experience was still what it was. I explained that this is an experience of over 10+yrs of my wife and I as patients. I was told the practice no longer operated as it once did which is great but not reflected the day of my visit. Willing to give them another chance and again appreciate them reaching out to me.

He was very thorough, showed us all our pictures and explained any questions we had. I feel very comfortable to recommend this doctor and the whole office staff is very welcoming. Also, another plus is the frame selection is really good too, some offices I've been in the past I couldn't even find a frame I liked, so I was really pleased.

I ordered some reading glasses and the more mature lady in the front who apparently has issues, showed me a few frames that I didn't like. I asked if there were more and she told me to look in a drawer. I did and found a pair marked at $99. I tried them on and said I liked them and when I handed them to her, she pulled them into the pile. I was worried that she might mix them up, but since there was some friction between us already that day I hoped she would take the right ones for my order. When I picked up my glasses, they had the wrong frames and were aweful looking. I told her they were the wrong frames, and she said they were the right frames and there was nothing that could be done about it, but "that's quite a fashion statement you're making." The frames listed on my invoice were priced at $110, eleven dollars more then the ones I ordered. I asked for the doctor to call so we could resolve this, and instead she sent me a long and rather rude email ending in: "Surely you can appreciate why I cannot return every phone call made to the office, I am busy with scheduled patients like yourself". Well, yes doctor C. you do call when there's an issue like this, that's basic customer service.

On top of that, our visit (wife went too and got glasses) was on April 21, 2021, and on January 29, 2022 I get notice that I owe $40 that medicare and my supplement did not pay. I would have NO PROBLEM with this EXCEPT, when asked before the doctor saw me I was assured that "IF I BOUGHT GLASSES, THEY WOULD COVER WHAT MEDICARE DIDN'T". Well, we walked out paying over $1,500 that day for 3 pairs of glasses, two for me, one for wife. My wife had gone to this location for well over a decade BEFORE it became a "MyEyeDr", but with the same "Doctor" and some of the same staff still here. Her insurance covers all of the appointments she has had in the past and with this visit, but mine did not. I filed an online complaint on January 29th, and although they assure you they will contact you within 3-5 days, I never heard a thing...I checked my Spam email weekly just in case it ended up there. On February 28th I got another bill...I paid it....WE will NEVER use MyEyeDr again, EVER! It is the principal of the thing...they don't care about their customers, this customer does not care about them.

But otherwise, they are very nice and I got a better deal with my son's contacts and my daughter's glasses, than at eye Dr optical outlet at the mall. Would go back for sure!

The last pair were made incorrectly. I had to bend my head back too far to use the lower part of the lenses. I went in 3 times within the 30-day period trying to get them adjusted to work properly. The salesman tried to help, but the last time he had me meet with the manager. The manager couldn't "fix them" either so I asked the manager to remake them. He was gruff and told me I would have to use the insurance replacement to have them remade. Unfortunately, I let him intimidate me and i just lived with the messed-up glasses. I didn't realize I could have complained to the company and have them remade or I would have done so. Last year, when I went in to buy another pair of glasses, I mentioned my problem to the salesman. He went to the back and circled where I was looking through and immediately saw the problem. He stated they should have been remade, and he would talk to the current manager about this situation. Unfortunately, the new manager didn't want to take responsibility for the prior manager's incompetence. I understood this so I asked who I could contact at the company. He gave me the name Mel as the Administration Supervisor and her "contact number". Unfortunately, this was a bogus name at the 800 number. That manager is no longer there. I ended up sending a letter to Lenscrafters and that's when I found out they had a lawsuit against them for this very problem, and they reached a settlement (Ariza et al v. Luxottica Retail Case 17-cv-5216). This is a warning to others that you need to demand that your glasses are made correctly and don't let anyone intimidate you into accepting an inferior product. The last manager I met there was very helpful in giving me information. I hope he stays there! They have lost my business forever, but I felt others should be warned. Peace.
