I'll tell you I SPRINTED to my phone to write this review. Our Bernedoodle, Albert, has been through the ringer when it comes to groomers. Obviously grooming a doodle can always be hit or miss - but I was so incredibly blown away with how great he looks! Other groomers have always been quick to shave him down completely if they spot one tiny mat and don't really know how to work with his hair texture, but the Furever Friends team found the perfect length and blowout for him! And at an incredibly reasonable price as well! Most importantly, I could tell just how wonderful Furever Friends is based on how Albert acted when he got home. Usually Albert is incredibly anxious and tired when he gets back from the groomer due to stress, but today he was his normal happy-go-lucky self. I think this shows just how caring and trustworthy the team there is. I also was so thrilled when they told me that he had the opportunity to play with the other dogs because unlike other groomers who throw their dogs in kennels, Furever Friends lets them free play. Was recommended this place by someone who I met when I took my dog to the nearby dog park, and I've been going here for over a year. Specifically use them to get my dog a haircut/groomed and I've been going back ever since. The groomers are nice and work with you. Price-wise it's fair. This is my new go to pet grooming service. I was unhappy with the old place so I found this place. The groomer was super sweet. Prices are reasonable, its like everywhere else. I love Max running around the store, he's so sweet. I told them my dog is an old dog and doesnt do well being locked up in a crate for a long time. I wanted to pick her up as soon as she's done. Choosing a place where your pup is being taken care of all day is a very important decision. After all, my pup is like my child. I love love love Furever Friends! I've been taking Tank, my 1yr 4mo old hyper Frenchie, there almost half a year, every day of the week. I also have him groomed there, too. The staff are so loving and attentive! I observe how they really know some of the dogs and their personalities, and they really care about them. I love how they greet Tank by his name with so much excitement. Tank will nearly jerk my arm off with excitement when he gets there in the morning. On Saturday's, when he doesn't go there he sits by the front door crying around the time we usually go during the week. When I pick him up the staff or the owners will talk to me about his day and who his 'friends' are that he plays with. I really enjoy the pictures and captions they post of Instagram, as well. As I first time customer, I was hesitant from the moment I booked. Whoever it was that scheduled our groom was impolite and disorganized. I had to repeat very basic information several times and the person taking my call was clearly distracted and having side conversations. I ended up booking a groom and specified that we were only looking for a trim for our Aussie. When I dropped off my dog today, we were rushed in and out of the drop-off process. I re-emphasized that I only wanted her feathers/britches trimmed and behind her ears cleaned up. Australian shepherds have a double-coat, and anyone with experience grooming them should know that they shouldn't be clipped elsewhere. I also asked that they grind her nails if she lets them (sometimes the sound can make her nervous, but not too often). I picked her up a couple hours later and had to remind the person which dog I was the owner of and then what breed she was. I get that I'm not a regular by any stretch of the imagination, but it had been two and a half hours since I last saw this person and they couldn't remember one thing about me? They walked my dog out and she had been clipped all over her body -- her sides, her legs, her mane, and they completely shaved her belly. I didn't bring her in completely matted (she had a bit behind her ears, which is common for the breed) and her coat was healthy. I asked if she let them grind her nails, and the person at the desk said "not sure, but if something was off they'd usually tell us." Not exactly reassurance from the people I've trusted to care for my dog. If you don't have experience grooming an Aussie, which is a fairly common breed these days, I'd rather find someone who does. Overall, I got the impression the people working here were generally indifferent -- indifferent about the level of service, indifferent about listening to our needs, indifferent about the quality of the groom, and indifferent about earning repeat business. I gave them two stars instead of one because they are priced fairly in our local market and they didn't hurt her as far as I can tell. I won't be coming back and can't recommend Furever in any capacity. read more

Not a lot of places know how to do doodle grooming, or follow directions. But not here! We got my 6.5 month puppy a mini trim with Big Sue. They did a wonderful job and exactly what I asked for. They did exactly what i asked for the beard, head and ears. They could have left his goatee a tad bit longer but that is my personal preference and was my fault as I should have specified. Overall, Very professional. Price was very fair. We had a terrible experience with a popular groomer in Addison where they basically shaved his beard down. Swore to never go back. I found this place on yelp after moving to Carrollton . I needed a new groomer close to home and Furever friends was perfect. Upon my arrival, I ended up at the daycare center and not the groomers so the door was locked. I called and Sue was able to help me find that the groomers is just two doors down to the right! (Don't make the same mistake I did!) My dog is not the friendliest dog but for some reason was ok with the store mascot dog named Max - adorable little guy with the most awesome Mohawk. Sue was assuring me that Max is very friendly. I noticed that my dog was not getting aggressive with Max I hopingly, kindly asked if she could possibly have them mingle for a bit while I had him dropped off which she gladly agreed to. I picked him up and I spoke with the owner, Joy, who was now manning the desk and I was asking about whether he had any aggression toward other dogs. She was completely shocked to hear the news to my surprise. Apparently, my dog was quite the social butterfly while I was gone. Just on the fact that they made me feel so comfortable leaving my dog here and the great customer service, this will be my go to groomers! The groom was exactly what I had asked for but I mentioned that my dogs ears looked like it could use an extra snip. Joy happily took him back saying that details matter and wanted to make sure I left completely satisfied. I was very nervous about getting my new rescue groomed. He's a bit nervous and was pretty matted when we got him last week ( feb. 2021) I called a lot of places and they were all booked weeks out or just didn't answer at all. I found Furever Friends and they were very reassuring on the phone and even made sure to schedule Deke the appropriate amount of time after getting his vaccines. His groomer opened the store and despite balancing 4 or 5 dogs checking in all at once, she made time to make me feel confident about leaving my little guy there. I was skeptical about leaving my 9 pound dog to free play with the big dogs but he did really well and they had his haircut done in less than an hour! -a little long, but worth it if you're anything like me with your dog- I called today for a "mild" (for me huge) situation - my dog got sprayed by a skunk. After feeling so defeated from trying to take care of it on my own I reached out to my vet and they recommended Furever Friends. I called, they were booked told me they had the next day available. Went ahead and booked that time. I get a call back not even an hour later and they told me they were able to squeeze me in the same day. My dog has never been groomed by anyone other than myself so I was worried about how she would react or, honestly, how they would react to her. The minute we walked in 3 of their employees greeted me with nothing less than welcoming arms. Asked about my dogs history with other dogs - she's a brat so not super well. They went out of their way to make sure no other dog would "be in her way" to make her comfortable. I was extremely happy when i called to make our first appointment in that the staff seemed so sweet and caring over the phone. I didn't even ask the price because I simply wanted a good grooming for my dog. I had had horrible luck at both Petsmart Plano and PetzMania. My dog has a pretty standard cut and routine. He is a yorkipoo and gets short body with teddy bear haircut. I asked for his ears to be a bit shorter as they get knots in them a lot. What I received was AWFUL. His body was barely shaved at all. There is a circle shave around his rear but none of the hair from that point down. He has a couple of bald spots. He has ZERO hair left on his head or ears or eyebrows but has tons of nose and chin hair. The groomer was just as sweet as can be but obviously NOT experienced. read more

My husband and I recently adopted a 3 year old yorkie mix, Maggie, who was a bundle of nerves. She is a well behaved dog but didn't know any basic commands and we were hoping to bond with her more. We found Heather and were so happy to hear that she does in-house training, since Maggie hates riding in cars. We did the four week training course and at the end of it we had almost a whole new dog! WARNING!!!! DO NOT take you're pet here and risk them getting hurt, but not only that the OWNER NORTON will flip out on you. I took my puppy for grooming and trim, they took 2 hours longer than they told me it was going to take, and they didn't do his face as I requested but I decided to overlook that and move on with my day. When I got home and was getting my puppy out I noticed he was bleeding on his leg, he had good chunk of skin taken off during grooming, and guess what no one bothered to say hey I'm sorry this is what happened instead they kept it quiet. So I go in the house and call the shop to speak with manager and the lady who answered the phone said they are not there they left for lunch, I asked when will they be back she said 4:30. I call back again around that time the same lady tells me they came back but they ended up leaving again, that's when I'm like ok they know what they did and now they are ignoring me. I waited until the next morning and called right when they opened, guess who answered? The OWNER!! I explain the situation to him nicely and I say how come no one told me this happened he said let me put you on hold and talk to the stylist, 5 seconds later he comes back on the phone and says she's not aware of the situation so I'm not sure what happened to your dog plain and simple no sympathy whatsoever. I said sir, I called you 2 times yesterday after I left your shop to talk to you about, I even took pictures right away I can show them to you, I said there is no way you guys weren't aware of this I'm sure my puppy cried at the time they hurt them, and now you're showing me you don't care either. I said I request my money back and I won't ever be back there again. Well, this is when his customer service comes in. He flipped, it's like I was talking to someone completely different. He said you're not gonna f request anything, I don't give a f about your f dog, shut the f up and get the f out of here and he hang up on me. I'm not gonna lie I froze for few seconds, I've never ever experienced that type of customer service in my life especially after they did something horrible to your pet. What kind of business are you running, you don't deserve any customers! I'm warning all the potential customers if they hurt you're pet they will not care about, and at that time it will be too late so do yourself a favor and go somewhere else there is plenty of good groomers out there. read more

This is the second time I have taken my dog Daisy for a groom. My first experience went well so I returned but had a different groomer this time. When I went to drop her off, I told the groomer I wanted to keep most of the length of her hair as she is a Bichon/poodle mix and I like her fluffy. The groomer convinced me otherwise stating it would take her "too long and would have to charge 200.00" if I didn't use the "safety razor" to have her cut due to some mild matting on her hind legs and under belly. I wasn't happy with the idea of her being cut short but I finally agreed. I picked her up a few hours later and was not at all happy but was in a hurry, paid and left thinking hopefully her hair will grow back quickly. I could tell from the time I picked her up she seemed uncomfortable, itchy with skin even pinker than before so I gave her a Benadryl hoping it would help with the irritation from her hair being cut so short. The next day our dog sitter picked her up as we were headed out of town for the week. approximately 5-6 hours later I get a text from Daisy's dog sitter, who was in a panic, of pictures of Daisy with hives, whelps and lesions that were bleeding. Daisy was distraught scratching and very uncomfortable so I made an appointment with the vet who had to give her a steroid shot and recommended Benadryl and soothing bathes until she was healed. I've sent Fur-ever Friends pictures and emails and hope they will at least do something to try to rectify the situation but at this point I have received no response. Update 7/28/16: Unfortunately the response below is very inaccurate. My dog was not extremely matted nor has she ever had fleas. She is very well loved and taken care of. Sad to see this is how the situation was handled. read more

I took my dog to a different groomer for his very first time (legacy groomers) but was not impressed that it took from open to close to get him done.... And I was late for a concert because of it! So of course, for his next grooming, I took him here. It's right near my house, and Jess is the best! I take him here every few weeks for a nail filing - - very cheap. I think only $7-9 and totally worth it since my dog definitely won't let me do his nails. And Jess always has him done in a few minutes. The grooming is wonderful. We have been taking our dog, Rigby, to this place basically since she got all her shots and was ready to mingle! We are so happy with them. Everybody treats Rigby so lovingly and I can see they're genuinely happy to see her when we drop her off in the mornings for daycare or boarding. She's also received haircuts and baths and we're always very pleased with the results. She's got long hair that can get to cover her eyes, and every time they've trimmed it, it's been perfect - not too long, not too short. Plus, the bandana they put on her afterwards is a nice touch! If you're in need of an EXCEPTIONAL training. Heather Luethy is amazing. I have a 13 year old Yorkie girl. For the first time I would need to put her on an airplane with me. Tinkerbell (thats her name) would cry and bark in the car. It was impossible to go to the vet with her. She would not go in a crate, no matter how big is was. The best way to describe her behavior is separation anxiety. It was a nightmare of barking and crying. Heather was successful with training Tinker. She travels in a car without crying or barking, and she stays in her travel crate too. She is a very well behaved doggie. Heather, I am in your debt. Thank you for giving me back my sanity. read more
