Yet another fabulous groom from Pet Love, specifically Randy. He is a miracle worker! He has been grooming my miniature schnauzer since I rescued her three years ago (she escaped from a puppy mill, and we believe she suffered abuse there). Previously, he groomed my elderly miniature schnauzer for five years till he went to the rainbow bridge). It takes a very special person to groom my rescue girl, with patience and care. Randy is that person. Today, it was extra challenging because my back yard has grown some prickly weeds and she was very matted with the little weeds in her soft fur. I had an appointment with her vet to be fully shaved under anesthesia, but thought I would see if Randy could help first. She came out of the mobile grooming van looking like a movie star! Somehow, my address is no longer in they're service area so they claim. However, their vans drive around my neighborhood often, and they even groom a neighbors dogs that lives 5 houses down the street (its a cul de sac too). They list my county (tarrant) and their service map has my neighborhood in it from their website (should be obvious since they groom dogs on my street and in my neighborhood) yet that extra 250 yards from my neighbors to me is too far....... o wait its a cul de sac so they have to pass my house to get to my neighbors anyway. What a joke of a company. All of this information was given through text messages as well since they wont call, or answer their phone numbers when trying to call and set up a new appointment. This was my first time using Petlove and I could not be happier! The groomer, Rachael, was excellent. She arrived a few minutes early which was great. Very friendly, professional, and listened to my requests for my two dogs and answered any questions I had. One of my dogs is 11 and has dysplasia in her hind legs and Rachael was so kind and gentle with her. She told me that she could tell that Clio got a bit tired and actually gave her a little 5 minute break/rest time. I love that! Both my girls came out looking better than they ever have from my past groomer. I am very picky about who works on my babies and Rachael exceeded my expectations. The convenience of having them come to the house is wonderful as well. Makes me feel better that my girls are just right outside. We've been using Pet Love Mobile Grooming for our cat, but were told because we don't book monthly (which their groomer told us not to for cats) that we CANNOT book. They will add us to a waitlist, so I asked what that meant and was told, "it means you are waiting for me to call you back." I meant how long might that be and she said, "it could be months, I don't know, that's why it's called a waitlist." First time using pet mobile grooming service and totally happy. The groomer (if I remember the name is Rose a I hope I got her name correct) came a few minutes early and parked on front of our door. Rang the bell right on time. Very friendly, professional and certainly gave that good feeling that it was ok to leave our two dogs in her hands for the grooming. We have 2 small dogs around 10 lbs each. Mixed Yorkiepoodle and the other one is mix chihuahua and terrier. She listened to my request and instruction on how I'd like the haircut to be etc. At the end the result are both wonderful. She transformed my Yorkiepoo from a little Chewbacca into a small beautiful girl again. She did a good haircut and de shedding job on my mix chihuahua as well. Very happy as first timer. Pet Love has lost the love for my sweet 15 year old Maltipoo and me! We have been using Pet Love for over 5 years and have always been very pleased with our groomer. Lola always looked great after grooming and seemed very happy as was I. Today I received a phone call telling me that they do not want cash payments any longer even though this is something the groomer preferred. Also that most of their clients groom their fur babies every 2-3 weeks and It just takes too long when more time has gone by. Many times I called and was told that an appointment was not available and that next available was months out. Hard to stay on a 2-3 week schedule given this. I have asked to be put on cancellation lists but this didn't usually help. I also travel frequently and a more regular schedule just isn't possible. So Pet Love, I guess it was ME not YOU! read more

UPDATE: 5/11 - I spoke with Barb this morning and while there isn't anything that can be done to make the hair grow back. She did listen. They were fast and apologetic. Showed empathy when needed. My Lola is my little girl and for something like this to have happened.. was sad. But we learn from mistakes. As long as the groomer is trained and communication is made with the owner before you decide to shave a dog (especially a long haired one).. that this doesn't happen again for anyone else. Knowing everyone is effected.. our "show cut" long haired Party Pomeranian Lola needed some groomer love. She needed a trim, nails, and teeth. It had been too long. We made the appointment and it was 2 weeks out. (For the 14th of May) .. we selected the top services.. after reading the reviews we figured they knew what they were doing. Let me tell you folks. That's not what happened. We were called early on Saturday saying they could fit us in. Excited I called them back thinking yes! Lola could use a nice spa day. What happened was anything but... when we handed her off, we stated "small trim. About 2 months of growth removed please. Wash her up.. and clean her potty trail." She is a long haired dog folks. And fine. Never sheds. With a thick undercoat. (Like a mini husky) we were assured that they knew what to do. Parked 50 ft from our front door. 2 hours later the door rang and what were handed.. was our dog, shaved down to the undercoat. The rage in my face was unimaginable. I took her, and let my wife finish. We didn't yell and we heard excuses of (she was crying when we brushed her.. we tried multiple conditioners..) what the heck were they doing?! This dog gets groomed on the regular. She is pampered.. and brushed. She loves to be brushed (lays on her back and enjoys it) so your answer to her crying is not to contact the owner.. or come and knock on our door. Your answer is to take over a year of growth off and possibly RUIN her undercoat. By shaving her. I can't.. even comprehend the thought process to handing you a beautiful long haired Pom and shaving her down like a sheared lamb. What were you doing for 2 hours? I could have taken clippers to her for free! Also the cut is all jagged and she has long hair between her toes. The knots under her legs, pieces of them are still there. I'm just speechless. It will take 6+ months to get that undercoat back.. she is getting older and we hope it actually comes back (many dogs the shock of it will cause it not to come back) What is wrong with you folk? Why would you shave a dog with an undercoat? Would you shave a husky? If your answer is yes.. you should be barred from working with dogs. I'm livid. I called them back and left 5 messages. No answer. I'm hoping I get some sort of apology.. the damage is done. My poor Lola is shaved. You took a beautiful show cut dog and cattle sheared her. I will not be using your service again, I paid over 100 dollars for you to shave my long haired dog hold her for 2 hours.. and cause rage on our Mother's Day weekend. We have used the service a few times for our cat. It started off very well but in 2020 prices were hiked from 55 to 65 to then 85. When we called last week (May 22) they quoted 145 for the very same service - clipping nails and brushing the cat. Don't bring exotic dogs to them and expect they know how to trim them properly. My newfie is not really exotic, except in Texas. I've consistently paid 188 - 250 per groom, per month, for him and never got my money worth. The groomers don't know what a newf should look like. I only used them cause i'm from SoCal and didn't know better and i needed my boy to feel good. For that i'm thankful. my wallet ain't so happy. I've used Pet Love for several years now. We had a wonderful groomer for the majority of my time as a customer who has now left the company. I'm extremely dissatisfied with my dog's grooms since our amazing groomer has left. The new groomer clearly did not care as much - my dog is very anxious and our prior groomer went above and beyond to make her feel secure and cared for, going so far as to pick her up and carry her to the van when she was clearly afraid to be groomed. The new groomer was very curt and ambivalent to me and my dog on the first visit. When my dog returned from her first cut, I could tell the new groomer was pretty sloppy and didn't give the same level of attention to my dog's groom as before. I gave the new groomer a second chance, but unfortunately, the service has really gone downhill. As to our prior groomer, the company made a huge mistake letting him leave, though he's probably better off. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I've used Pet Love for 3-4 years now. My 2 dogs LOVE Miss Shannon! I tried several groomers in the beginning & when Shannon showed up, I knew she was the One & Only groomer I ever wanted to groom my little guys! Shannon is friendly & gentle. She knows EXACTLY how our Yorkie likes his hair cut. He runs straight to the hall mirror & sits there & admires himself after Shannon finishes grooming his locks......he knows he's handsome! It's Ridiculous! Our little "old man" Sheltie is very persnickety & fussy.....he's 14 & doesn't move very well anymore. Shannon is very kind & patient with him. He always feels so good & a little more chipper after Shannon cleans & trims his beautiful coat! Pet Love is so convenient. We don't have to take our dogs to the groomer.....then go pick 'em up. We can schedule a time that is convenient for us & we keep working on what we're doing at home....Shannon rings the doorbell when she's done....our dogs are happy & so are we! After weeks of trying to resolve my experience with PetLove (see post below--they shaved my cat and let him with scabs in places and gave him fleas), I'm through dealing with them. We had used a married couple from PetLove for years who were wonderful, but they must be the exception to the rule. I had to buy flea medication to treat a cat with open sutures (who did not get groomed), the cat they groomed and our rabbit. In short, if you have any sort of problem with their service, they WILL NOT help you or even show any empathy. The poor cat who was groomed has seen the vet for a skin cream and is still in pain. So, I used to take my dogs to Tuxedo Paws and loved it and Sharon. Sadly, she retired. I made an appointment with Pet Love for Friday morning at 8:30am. They called me on Thursday morning and asked if I wanted them to come at 1:30 instead (Thursday afternoon). Yes! So, 1:30 rolls around, then 1:45. I called. They said they would call back with an ETA of groomer. I'm not that upset because I got an appointment a day earlier. But they arrived at 2:30pm. Luckily my daughter didn't have class or work and was available for the late arrival. I will give them lots of credit for sending 2 groomers/vans (I have 3 dogs) so it would be faster. I really appreciated that. My dogs were groomed beautifully (they don't require hair cuts). But their nails were beutifully trimmed, they smelled wonderful and it was fast and SOOOO CONVENIENT! My daughter said one groomer was super nice and friendly however the other one---not so much. They are pricey ($243.00 for 3 dogs including gratuity). But, I was used to Tuxedo Paws rates. However, the convenience of having them come to you and doing it all at your home is WELL WORTH the service fee. After creating an account with all information and receiving a call back from them with a quote (meaning you viewed location prior to call) I was told we were "too far south" after calling back to schedule an appointment. Mind you this is a business and I received a referral from a friend who's even further south than I who'd used their service. The quote you ask, $148.24, and I was willing to pay it. I recently had knee surgery and couldn't take my poodle to the groomer. I called Pet Love and scheduled an appointment. Gia came out and within 1 1/2 hours groomed Cosette to perfection. I highly recommend this company. Previously Cosette would have to wait her turn in a cage and it would take several hours before I could pick her up. You do have to pay a trip charge so it is a little pricier but well worth it. I will definitely use them again. read more

Extremely unprofessional. I booked a 7:30 am appointment and the groomer could not show up on time for her first appointment of the day. They allow a 45 minute window for dogs, traffic, etc... which is understandable during the day. But for the first appointment of the day?! Ridiculous and unprofessional. Given that her arrival time was estimated to be at 8:10, when I called to find out where she was at 7:45, that tells me she didn't pick up her van and leave the Pet Love offices until 7:30- the time of my appointment! I work from home and normally get up at 8am on Monday's. I got up 90 minutes early for someone who couldn't be bothered to show up on time for their job. A phone call when she left for my home to apprise me of her arrival time would have been good customer service and greatly helped to mitigate the situation. Instead I had to track her down to find out what the problem was. This was going to be my first grooming with them. I won't try to use them again and instead will take my dog elsewhere. read more

I would not recommend using this service. First of all they only offer appointments from 7:30am to 3:30pm during the week, so I had to stay home in the morning before work. They did arrive promptly but I was also the first appointment of the day. They told me the service would take 45 mins to an hour ... they didn't finish for over two hours, causing me to be much later for work than I planned. The quote they gave me ($122) was for a wash, haircut, tooth brushing, nail trim and a bandanna. Once they were done with him they brought him in and he was still partially wet and looked the exact same. I only noticed a slight trim around his feet. And while it was only a small detail he also didn't get a bandanna. Later after the groomer left I also noticed he had a cut on the bottom of his leg that looked to be made from a razor. I will be looking for a different groomer in the future and will not be using this service ever again. read more

Yes I have matted dog's, yes they needed to be shaved, but when I came home there were gouges in their fur, missing hair that that was nicked, and large areas of redness. I was not happy, and since I left my credit card on file, the groomer gave herself a 20$ tip for both of them making my charge $160 instead of 130 (10$ tip for the the groomer) so o was doubly fucked. Misleading website...on the map of areas serviced their website clearly indicates my area is included. It's close to the edge of their service area, but it is inside their boundary. No, how do you fill up the groomers schedule when I was booked nearly 2 months in advance and a standing appt? Evidently the holidays got in the way. We have used Pet Love for several years. The last two times, they have brought back our dogs with cuts and blood. Not sure what's going on, but I've had to call a mobile vet to come and help me with the amount of blood all over our house, outdoor stone and our rugs etc. Today one of them was able to jump off the table and fell on her mouth, which is hurt. I hate writing a 1 star review. My dogs look and smell awesome. The groomer even made the trip here in the snow. I just assumed they wouldn't be coming but I should have called to say that it would be more than fine to come another day. What really chaps my ass is the pricing structure is not forth coming. I was given a tentative quote but was told that the price would depend on the dogs particular cut. I'm fine with that. What is not ok is ommiting a mention of the "fees" associated. I was charged an extra $24 and then a fuel charge of $4.39 over and above the quoted groom charges. To make matters worse, the gentleman on the phone when I called to let them know their error was dismissive and rude. He also explained to me that the owner herself, was the one who gave me the quote. That owner should know she lost herself a customer today and I hope she is embarassed. I did not want to hurt my groomers feelings, who usually does a great job shaving my cat down completely, so I called customer service and simply asked for a refund for the wack job my poor dog received. Can't justifiably give even 1 star - but since there's no zero, I guess I'll have to suffice. If you live in Dallas - don't even bother calling these guys. They advertise servicing the Dallas area, but not without a $24.00 gas fee. In this day and age??? Ridiculous! Not only that, but when I addressed this fee with "Kathy" who answered the phone, she didn't even attempt to explain why a fuel fee when the competitors don't charge this. She simply dismissed my questioning and moved on to the pricing structure. Pricing structure - another story in itself. Many of the things other groomers offer as a a standard are included at a much lower price than the basic package with Pet Love. I agree with other reviewers - I'm not sure Pet Love is an apprpropriate name for this company. I'm writing this review as the grooming van is still in my driveway because I am that unhappy. After taking care of the services we asked for, the groomer came to the door asking for an amount that is much higher than originally anticipated. I asked for a breakdown of the services. She told me.it was $44 for the grooming plus tax plus a gas charge plus a trip charge. Yes, you read that correctly, a MOBILE business just charged me for gas AND a trip charge. After I wrote the check the groomer proceeds to tell me that she knicked my poor dogs ear but it's okay because she put medicine on it. I didnt feel it appropriate to argue the validity of the charges as my wife is the one who booked the appointment, but to me it the prices are outrageous. I also asked for an itemized receipt so I could have it to give to my wife so she could compare the final total to what she was quoted. The groomer said she could not give that to me. I then asked for a receipt for my check payment and she said she could not produce that either. So wait a second a mobile business that can't explain charges, seems to charge multiple times for the same thing, and can't produce a receipt? This business is a joke. I plead with you not to give your business to them. This should not be allowed. Very shady. Wish there was a way to give ZERO stars. read more

The groomer In a nutshell, wounded my baby with shears on the fleshy part of his thigh, tried to stop bleeding with QUIK STOP, did NOT tell us about it and left. After 2 vet visits and 2 weeks of antibiotics it still hasnt healed. They did reimburse me but you owe me apology in person or via phone. Groomer and owner. I have used Pet Love for years... And always been happy with the service. The groomers that come and work with my dogs are always great with them. However today was the last time I will be using their services. I booked a nail trim, and when the technician returned with my dog I was surprised to see that he had also been given a bath. I did think that it was taking longer than usual, but chalked it up to perhaps a new employee... Or my dog was being less than cooperative. The tech who worked on my dog was very apologetic and sweet. However when I called the office to complain about the additional service and charge, I was treated as if it were all my fault. I was so frustrated that I was nearly in tears. Stated that I would pay it but never return... After the tech left, I called back again, because this is not right. Again, thinking that being a long-term customer would mean something... The first young man I spoke to acknowledged that they had looked at my history, and I usually just got a nail trim... He then transferred me to Don, who could not have been a worse example of customer service. To make matters worse, he told me it was just $30... Not a lot of money. That makes me wonder if he did this on purpose. Maybe this is a new practice of theirs?? Their dog groomers are great, but you have to go through the office/owner to get an appointment. I have 3 large hairy sheepdogs which I have groomed every 3 weeks. I pay around $300+plus and give the groomers a cash tip of more than 20%. If you complain about anything, you get put on a list. I had an appointment today on a Saturday (who has appointments on Saturday) for 9:30 then changed to 10:30 then maybe 30 minutes more. I called backed and cancelled, ask for a different day, the receptionist said it would be 3 weeks, yes I did cuss and she hung up and told me I would be charged . . . power of credit cards. read more

I really did think the groomer did a fantastic job, so if you are willing to pay a bit more than typical grooming fees you should use this service.* Absolutely terrible customer service which is a shame because the groomer himself did a great job. I filled out the questionnaire online and someone called to provide me a quote for my dog's grooming. When they called I confirmed all of his information (breed,age,weight,etc.) And they quoted me $55 plus the trip charge. Everytime I have had him groomed it has been around $55 so I thought that was good and the additional for the trip charge was worth it. When the groomer arrived he said that he had it in his appointment card that my dog was a toy poodle not a mini golden doodle but said nothing about that increasing the price. After the groom was done they had charged me $85 plus the trip charge because a golden doodle wasn't what they had written down and is more expensive to groom. I tried to explain to the customer service manager that I was quoted $55 and a $30 increase without telling me ahead of time is unreasonable because I wouldn't have agreed to an $85 price and she had nothing to say but "I'm sorry, I'm not sure what to tell you". I asked for them to go back and listen to the recorded calls in which I clearly gave them the correct information and they incorrectly quoted me and after 30 minutes of back and forth she finally offered to split the difference which I still think is unreasonable since it was $15 more than I was I was so excited about this company, I gave four of my friends their number and a glowing review. I have since recanted that review to my friends and am posting this review here. If you value your money and want a company that gives you accurate quotes, go somewhere else. read more

This was the first time I used a mobile groomer and they did a great job. The grooming took less than an hour to do. My little guy looks wonderful and he got along great with his groomer.
