One star because the do not take pit bulls for daycare or boarding!! I wouldn't trust a place if they can't cater to every dog... smh

Same with my big dog who can finally play a little rougher in the big dog section without accidentally stepping on someone.

Within 2 days, we were back at the clinic because it filled right back up. The Veterinarian never came in to speak with my wife. The vet tech proceeded to tell my wife that the next step would be to sedate the cat and told my wife that they would be placing tubes and stitches in his ear. Because the cat ate earlier, we were told we would have to bring him back another day. We brought him back on Saturday, and they took him from us and told us he would be ready for pick-up later in the day. When we picked him up, he was bandaged and had a cone around his neck. Within a day or two, he had the bandage off his ear and there were no drain tubes or stitches. We called the clinic, and they stated that he was sedated, ear lanced, and steroid injected and this was the treatment plan my wife signed off on. 1) When the vet tech stated they would be putting him under anesthesia, my wife asked if they were putting drain tubes and stitches and the vet tech said yes. 2) We were told that my wife signed off on his treatment plan and that she was not told about tubing and stitched and yet we were sent a copy of the treatment plan, NO signatures, NO initials..Nothing. 3) First time we took him, no anesthesia, nothing..they drained the fluid in his ear with needle. Second time he went in because the ear filled back up, they told us that the sedated him because the had to lance the ear, and yet the treatment plan they sent that the claimed my wife signed off on states that they again drained with a needle. Why the sedation again? they did not have to sedate the first time when they drained with a needle.

Maybe she needed lunch. I've never been told at any medical/vet clinic that 5 minutes late, in Atlanta traffic, was enough to cancel the appointment after driving 45 minutes to get here.

I used to rate 5 stars but declining customer service of front desk/reception folks leaves me…read morefeeling rattled most times when I go there. This may not matter for those that don't need vet services very often. Vets and techs are very good. I've talked about my concerns about the front office staff/manager with one of the vets, but no changes. One receptionist in particular needs customer service training. I was checking out with another receptionist, who was very nice, and my acct showed a lingering $22 charge. I said I didn't believe I had a balance. The unhelpful woman I avoid pops over because it needed to have 2 people to confront one customer? - she was immediately confrontative, challenging about me owing this $22. I'd thought they were thinking of an add-on lab from April but I paid it from home back then already and she challenged me no, they don't have online pay, so I couldn't have paid, and she's shaking her head. Ok maybe I didn't pay online, then it was over the phone but I paid it from home somehow, that I know. I've been there many times since without issue of owing $. It went like that for a bit - while my 90# dog is pulling on his leash, I'm trying to find my glasses so I can search my emails on my phone, arthritis, age and other disabilities aren't helping here, and I'm being treated like a bad customer (which I am not) - in an environment where I'm not prepared to respond effectively. I have no idea what they are talking about...were they saying a lab (the test, not the dog) got added after the appt? If so I wasn't aware of it & I wasn't billed. At some point I said I hadn't been there in August. "Yes YOU were! You WERE here in August!" [Oh, was I caught in a lie? ] Oh , ok, yes, I recall I was there in August, but I paid for it all before I left. Nothing changed after the appointment. Or, just say what the charge is for, with specificity, for example, it's for urine cortisol, then maybe I'd recall it and it would've been a 2 sentence discussion. But that didn't happen, they just said "an add on" like I work there and know what they're talking about. I've been going here for 15 years. Expected to be back next month. Maybe I'm not trying to screw anyone out of $22? Just a thought. Finally she glances at the computer. Something got added, twice?, after the fact, so I don't owe them anything. No apology. Just walked away. It is fine for there to be a misunderstanding about charges. A bill mishap isn't upsetting to me, if I owed something for whatever reason I'm perfectly happy to correct the error and pay it. It wasn't ok how this person treated me, she was *determined* to convict me (over $22 which is also hilarious). No apology, just an about-face. This is the attitude I face going there. My dog is/was a frequent customer. I do not want to take him for his monthly Cytopoint injections or anything else. They didn't used to be like this. They used to be amazing. This is a trend not an incident.

If I could add five more stars I would. After bring my boy KODI to three other animal hospitals for…read moreover a year with what I consider serious issues concerning blood in stool, diarrhea, not eating and lethargy. All three doctors at those facilities blamed his being overweight and diet. But the issues did not improve with new diets, pills and prescription food. We were frustrated and KODI was getting worse. I heard about Dr. Oh at Abbott Veterinary Hospital do I made an appointment. On our very FIRST visit, Dr.Oh climbed down on the floor and did a digital exam and found that KODI had a polyp that was causing at least most of the problem. We scheduled surgery with her to remove the polyp but during surgery Dr.Oh found that the polyp was larger than first examined and she indicated KODI needed to go to Blue Pearl for more extensive surgery. To sum up the story, KODI had a successful surgery, tumor was not malignant, and he is doing exceptionally well thanks to a wonderful Dr. Oh who took the time and care to do what being a veterinarian is all about...caring for those who have no voice. Heartfelt thank you to Dr. Oh.

I left with only an antibiotic, probiotic and his food they'd given him. We went with the cheapest option since I am currently a college student only working a part time job. They told me in order to figure out what was wrong with him I'd have to bring him back for blood work. Two and a half weeks later I came back because of what they said. I had to come up with another 200 since the test is $185. When I get back to pick my boy up, turns out my bill had racked up to 400. So I had to get my friend to help me pay. WHY? Because medically I understand but the fact that initially came in honestly trying to do the right thing for my boy with the tightest pocket only for them to extort me from 400 dollars. I say extortion because the second visit they did a rectal exam, which should have happened the first time. instead of making me come back to pay money i dont even have in my pocket. when they handed my boy back, they placed him at the front door. i payed up front and didnt get much time to question anything since there was someone behind me. id been taken to the back with other visits and they typically take their time to explain the visit but this time they did not. my significant other called back because everything felt wrong and they did in fact state it was not necessary for my boy to have a blood test to figure out if he was constipated. they let my cat suffer for almost three weeks just for more money. i used to love coming here...thanks Dr. O for also turning your cheek when I wanted to express what had just happened.
