    Yorkshire Terrier after full-service groom.

    Shampooch Palace has been my Yorkshire Terrier's groomer since 2018, and they've done an outstanding job every time. Make sure you book far ahead (especially during the holidays) because they're often fully booked for four to six weeks. They're worth the wait though, and I don't plan on taking my Yorkie anywhere else as long as they're in business.

    I posted my original review 4 years ago and love this place even more now. They have moved to a new location and even though it is farther from me, I continue to drive out because I haven't found any other groomer that does as good of a job. The fact that my dog doesn't hate going speaks volumes.

    It is quite rare that we do not take our dog with us, however, this time we could not take her with us so we decided to use Shampooch Palace. I must say, Kathy who runs this place is incredible, my wife called to have our dog kept here for a week while we went on one of our vacations and was able to get all of the paperwork done over the phone and faxed over. This place makes the whole process extremely easy, compared to other places that are a nightmare. Kathy who runs this place was a dream to work with last month, very professional and complimentary of our dog. This place does not just groom dogs, but they also board them. I highly recommend this place and we will use them again for sure. [Review #156]

    I've been here a couple times. This time has to be the worst and last time I will be coming here to get my dog groomed. They don't care about your dog and they're not attentive whatsoever. I got my dog groomed Wednesday and noticed they had cut my dog. Called the place to ask what happened and was basically told it was my dogs fault and that he scratched it to the point where it made it worse. No apologies at all. Practically paid them to cut my dog. There was no sincerity at all and the fact that they didn't notice it really makes me mad. Never returning. Don't bring your dog here unless you want this to happen to them.

    As much as I hate to give an updated rating after I had given this business 5 stars, I have to. I moved to Lawrenceville almost a year now and Shampooch Palace was great at first. Then I noticed that my dog didn't like going there (pulling toward the door, hanging her head down, etc). I continued to take her and continued to observe her behaviors once there. On one occasion I was called to pick her up and was told that she might be a little sore from them cutting her " matted" legs. Her legs were NOT that matted. But, I said okay and trusted them. When I picked her up and brought her home she was limping badly. I called back and was told that nothing happened during the grooming. In a couple of days the limping ceased and against my better judgment we continued to patronize this groomer. Today will be our last visit. $38.00 for a mini groom and her eyebrows were butchered badly. Again, when I was called to pick her up, the call was followed by "we cut her eyebrows short. They should start off thinner/shorter anyway". Mind you she (Mini Schnauzer) has been groomed all of her 11 years and I had never heard of nor seen what I saw when I picked her up. When I arrived, Kathy, the owner started the conversation talking about my dog's brows, repeating what she told me during her call to me. I noticed the brows were very short but it wasn't until I looked back at my dog in the back seat (lower angle) that I realized the extent of the botched job. Then, I also noticed that her rear end (vaginal area) was not cut (clean out) which was a part of what I paid for. I called the owner. She apologized, accepted the fault and offered a $5.00 credit towards our next visit and asked to bring her back to get the brows re-cut but there's nothing to shape up. Between these "faux paus". and my dog's affect when I take her there and pick her up something just doesn't feel right. I have them a 3 star from 5 as the owner and staff are great people (customer service) but it seem that when "things" go wrong with your baby, no one knows anything or the response sounds like damage control. Really wish my baby could talk. Unfortunately, I have seen and had enough and will be moving my patronage somewhere else.

    Kathy, her daughter and the rest on the Shampooch Palace staff are awesome. I have two small poodles who were rescues and were terrified of the groomer. We tried a lot of local groomers before finding Shampooch Palace, and we will never go anywhere else! They are very accommodating, reasonably priced, kind and knowledgeable. I'm one of those weirdos who doesn't want her poodles to look like poodles, and Kathy keeps meticulous notes about how I like my dogs cut. We have never been anything less than thrilled with how they look when we pick them up. The facility is very spacious and open. You can see your dogs on the grooming table if you want, and each stall where the dogs are kept is roomy and clean. I hate leaving them somewhere when they're stacked up in a wall of kennels. Our poodles love the staff at Shampooch Palace, and they always come home happy and pretty. They even get really excited when I tell them it's time to go see Ms. Kathy! I highly recommend Shampooch Palace. They're fantastic.

    I've been a longtime customer. I was shocked the way I was treated this past weekend. I called Thursday to set an appointment for Friday. I was given an 11:30am spot for his full grooming. I asked if they had anything sooner because my wife will be the one dropping him off and she had and engagement in the city at 6pm. The person on the told me they didn't have anything sooner and they were completely booked for the next couple of weeks. Therefore I my options were limited. We dropped him off at 11 am ( 30 minutes before his schedule appointment) around lunchtime I received a call from one of their employees to informed me that they had found some fleas on him and if I'll approve the extra cost to treat him to which I agreed. Several hours later my wife called to see if I had talked to them because she was getting to leave for her appointment in the city. So I decided to call them to get an update, the phone rang and rang so I figured the would call me when his ready. Around 4:30 they send me a text to which I didn't notice because I was at work. At 5:12 I received a call from an employee notifying me that my dog was ready and they were closing at 6:00. I told them that I couldn't pick him up because I was far and with Friday traffic I wouldn't be able to make on time. She suggested the only option was to board him overnight for an extra $20 for the night. I asked her what was the reason it took them so long when his appointment was at 11:30 am. She told me that they were overbooked and overwhelmed because of their recent relocation. So I tried to explain to her in that case I shouldn't be penalized because I wasn't at fault and quite frankly they shouldn't charge me to board him overnight. At that point Kathy the owner came to the phone and stated " why are you giving her a hard time" and she hung up the phone. I was speechless and shocked by the the level of disrespect and total disregard of a longtime customer. I try to call back several times but they didn't answer. The next day early morning I went and pick up my dog and told them that I was hurt the way they handle the situation. Not only I was treated badly and the cut was horrible as you will see on the picture I've attached. I will never use them again.

    We have been coming to this location to cut my dogs hair over the years but my dog always comes back with cuts everywhere. One time they put a bandana on his neck and he kept complaining until we noticed it was a cut they were hiding on his neck. I understand dogs move around but for" professionals" I do feel this could be kept to a minimum. He comes back with scars everywhere each time. And this time I can tell he's in so much discomfort bc it's around his "area". I just wish I was informed he was cut when he was instead of observing him and noticing the cuts all over. They are a small family owned business and I love the convenience of this spot but it hurts me to see my dog always in pain after a visit here....

    Just moved to Georgia from LA. Although Mr B is 4 and has been getting groomed for years, he hates it EVERY TIME! I knew it'd be a challenge finding someone new that would take him. We decided to give this place a shot because of its many great reviews. I spoke to Ms Kathy on the phone and explained that he was considered by some "difficult". She immediately put me at ease and was confident she and her staff could handle our ferocious 4lb yorkie! Well fast forward til 4 days later...he looks great and they said they'd even take him back!! We have our new grooming home!

    They are really good and nice....only bad thing i ever see about the place is it is really expensive. not for someone on a budget.
