THIS IS WHAT I GOT BACK

I brought my long hair wooly Giant Alaskan Malamute to this groomer in October 2024. He did a great job. So, I returned in July 2025. This time was horrific. Malamutes are a double-coated breed. ANYONE who know anything about Double coated breeds knows you never touch the undercoat EXCEPT to wash & brush. I told this groomer 4x's, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT shave him EXCEPT under his jawline at his neck a 2-3" strip where we use his E-collar for training & walking. I put it in the notes in capitalized letters when I made the appointment, I told him in person when I dropped him off to be groomed. He sent me a video of my dog panting saying he's hot. & another video of a husky completely shaved down except his head. I replied saying, "Please tell me you did not do this". He replied saying no, he hadn't touched him yet. He said was still brushing him. I then sent him 2 pictures of normal coated Malamutes (not long-haired wooly coats) My dog is "normally black & white with a few blonde streaks on his back. When I returned to pick up my dog was a COMPLETELY SHAVED DOWN MALAMUTE...GRAY & WHITE, FACE HEAD BODY EARS EVERYTHING! I was mortified, crying, EXTREMELY UPSET. He claimed he was so matted he didn't have a choice. AGAIN, BULL CRAP! I brush him daily & ESPECIALLY when he's blowing his coat! Otherwise, my house is covered in fur. If that was the case, which it wasn't, He should have CALLED ME & "ASKED ME FIRST" - BEFORE taking it upon himself & shaving him down. The under coat regulates the dogs body temperatures. Keeps them cool in the summer & warm in the winter. It protects their skin from burning & Not to mention, how his fur will not have the same long soft flowing texture it did. This dog is an indoor dog & is outside maybe a hour or 2 a day. THATS IT!. He is our child & is treated as such. He insinuated I was a liar when I & my adult daughter told him he is not an indoor dog & said, "No he's not" & sat there shaking his head no back & forth! He stated he was an outdoor dog full of fleas & ticks & twigs which was bull crap. He has no flea bites nor ticks & is on medication so that does NOT happen. He just had his annual physical & shots in May & the vet said he is completely health & renewed his prescription. Plus we have another little dog who is all white & they sleep together so if he had then she would too, which she doesn't. His original coat should have NEVER been shaved down to like a pit bull. This groomer even shaved his head! but never cleaned his ears. He showed me a trash can full of fur & claimed it was all my dogs fur but I know it wasn't because of the colors of then fur, the curliness of it plus the texture. I don't even believe he bathed my dog. The fur was not wet. I paid him & been told by sooooo many people, I should not have. I just wanted to get out of there & leave I so very upset. I have consulted many malamute forums, breeders, other groomers & EVERYONE of them said that this groomer has endangered my dogs health by doing this. That he should not be grooming dogs if he doesn't even know about the features of double-coated dogs. They also said it is unlikely his coat will never be the same. Please hear this people with double-coated dogs, because I specifically told him NOT to do this several times, but he did it anyways & he then threatened to sue ME if I put any negative reviews online about his shop or grooming skills in his words "Defame" his shop or business! HELLO???? Thats what personal reviews are all about. HE... defamed himself by doing this to my dog. So that tells me he thinks he can do whatever he wants to a customer's pet, NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY & EXPECT THE DOG OWNER TO ADHERE TO "HIS" DETERMINATIONS & ACTIONS and the customer has no say over their own dog. He told my daughter to leave his shop or he would call the police. She said there's five in the parking lot, I will go get them for you! Beware of bring your dog to this place & use caution.

I found him through the Nextdoor app and relied on his stated experience and trustworthiness. When I returned after five days, my previously healthy, active four-year-old pit bull was unable to walk. I have since spent thousands of dollars on veterinary care, and my dog's quality of life has been permanently altered. To this day, I have not received a clear or consistent explanation. I was told my dog got out, was missing for several hours, and later was found. I was not aware he was even injured until after he was picked up by my brother the next day when my brother noticed he was hurt. Even if that account were accurate, he didn't take any accountability for the fact that my dog's back legs are paralyzed and a clear story hasn't been given. He claims he was standing outside while my dog was chewing the fence to escape but if that's the case why continue to let him chew it? Nothing is making sense and when I asked him about it he got defensive. All I wanted was answers. Three weeks later, my dog is still suffering. He lives in constant pain, cannot walk without assistance, and is largely confined to bed rest. When I contacted this man seeking clarity, I was met with anger and defensiveness rather than accountability or concern. This situation reflects a serious lack of transparency, judgment, and responsibility. I strongly warn others not to entrust this person with the care of their pet.

She can also have an extra half pill every 8-12 hrs if anxious during the day. Cover well with the turkey and give. If she is still anxious, call her vet to increase dose. When I picked her up on Sept 9, I was told that she wouldn't be allowed to come back to the kennel as she "wasn't a good fit". She was extremely anxious to the point that she was shaking and had to be hand fed. Unfortunately, when I arrived back home and counted the trazadone, I saw that no extra doses had been given, just the bedtime dose. The pill bottle itself even said give extra if needed. My instructions also said "If she is still anxious, call her vet". When I called Countryside, I was told "We never call vets". The problem is, I wasn't called either and my dog was allowed to be extremely anxious when she could have been medicated. I would like to know why my dog was allowed to be so scared when Countryside had extra medication to give her and failed to let the vet or me know that she needed an increased dose. Countryside suggested I get a home caretaker. My dog won't let anyone in her house. She's be very abused prior to our rescue. I've been working with a trainer to help. I sent an email asking for review by a manager or above, but got not repose from Countryside.

This is my puppy's first bath and trim (he was about 5 months old). Him being a shih Tzu- I intend to keep his fur long as I do not like the "teddy bear short cut look". Scheduling: Appt scheduling was very simple. Staff was very nice. Appearance: Upon arriving, It can be a little confusing as the sign is not lit up. It's a little past the opening where the Home Store is so be aware to keep going! Inside, it smelled like a old dogs inn. Just like a dog. Didn't feel the clean spa- like feeling I thought I would get. Staff: The staff were not masked, but still nice. I just want to say Lindsay was sooo sweet! The sweetest. Explained things in good detail and really nice. Experience: I asked them to let me know if there were any issues as he is a very scary pup. She told me she would try to save some of his fur as there was a mention it was matted pretty bad. He was shaved balled. My mom picked him up as I was at another appt and she said they kept apologizing and saying "he's alright". He wound up having really bad diarrhea for a few days and when I took him to the vet, they mentioned it was bacteria. It could have came from anywhere but he's not around any other dogs, and thought it was funny he got it right after coming home. I'm thinking because the place was not as clean as I'd hope. They were also a little pricey. The rate was higher than my neighbors who has a Yorkie. In addition, with the extra vet bill, this grooming costs me over $140 so I will mostlikely be searching for a new one. Just as a note, He smelled really good and appeared to be okay but I will not likely take him back.

The emergency hospital had given him a fever-reducing shot that was supposed to last 24 hours. When we arrived at Tiger Tails first thing the next morning, we clearly told the staff and doctor about this and that it had only been 12 hours since it was given. The doctor took his temperature, did a quick checkup, and said he was fine -- then sent us home. We had pleaded that it was strange he wasn't eating or drinking and he was vomiting with hints of blood, but she kept insisting that he may have just ate something bad or just elder dog symptoms. Just 13 hours later, my dog passed away. I trusted Tiger Tails to take our concerns seriously and to monitor him properly after everything he had been through, but I feel that they dismissed his condition too easily. I am heartbroken and will never forget how this was handled. Please be cautious and make sure your pet gets the thorough care they deserve.

Very early on she started developing a cough and then wheezing, and then runny nose and I was so concerned I couldn't wait two more days for my already scheduled vet apt with another place. I called Tiger tails as soon as they opened this morning and I spoke with Jordan, and she was so unbelievably kind and helpful. She worked her butt off to get us in as early as possible, and even called me back twice to offer two earlier times, which we took. As soon as we got there we were greeted with super friendly staff. They led us to our excluded room (because of the cough) and every single vet tech and vet that came in was amazing. They were so gentle and loving to my baby, and explained everything they were doing. She did a thorough examination, asked questions, and determined it was kennel cough and sent me off with two different meds. I am a pretty anxious person when it comes to illnesses, especially since this is my first dog I personally own, but they were so welcoming and understanding, putting me at ease. I am SO glad I ended up going here, and will be going back for all her future shots/check ups. Thank you to the entire staff that helped me and my baby today!!
