I have since spent thousands of dollars on veterinary care, and my dog's quality of life has been permanently altered. To this day, I have not received a clear or consistent explanation. I was told my dog got out, was missing for several hours, and later was found. I was not aware he was even injured until after he was picked up by my brother the next day when my brother noticed he was hurt. Even if that account were accurate, he didn't take any accountability for the fact that my dog's back legs are paralyzed and a clear story hasn't been given. He claims he was standing outside while my dog was chewing the fence to escape but if that's the case why continue to let him chew it? Nothing is making sense and when I asked him about it he got defensive. All I wanted was answers. Three weeks later, my dog is still suffering. He lives in constant pain, cannot walk without assistance, and is largely confined to bed rest. When I contacted this man seeking clarity, I was met with anger and defensiveness rather than accountability or concern. Therefore, I rescheduled 2 weeks later for another day care session. After 2 weeks, she visited the day care (07/22/2025). Not even 5 minutes after pulling out from the facility, they attempted to call my phone. Having my phone in my pants pocket, I could not retrieve the phone call and Pet Paradise called my daughter instead. I returned the call and was informed urgently to pick up my dog because they could not leash my dog. The staffs were waiting for me to pick up my 13 lbs shorkie just because they could not leash her and afraid that she will bite her. She stated last visit she bite someone. But according to the staff on the previous incident, the person who evaluated her made a quick startle at my shorkie in which caused it. Per staff member, she stated it was not very serious bite. I wanted my shorkie to be socialized amongst dogs and humans which is the reason I brought her to the day care. I told the staff, Yukii does not have any problems when she had her grooming last week when the groomer took her and she did not even bark or growl at her. The groomer calmly talks to her and pets her while leashing her. While your staff did not even give her a chance nor tried to be patient and friendly and getting to know her, Yukii's reaction would have been different. Instead she told me, I had to calm her down myself and then bring her back to day care . I was astonished she was not able to leash my 13 lbs dog but instead afraid of her biting her. Your staff needs better training, if she cannot handle a 13 lbs dog whereas a 50 lbs dog. This staff does not need to be working at a day care center for pets, and she needs more training into how to handle any kind of dogs whether their big or small; trained or temperamental. It shows me she is not animal friendly nor loving. I guess this facility lost a customer as I was not satisfied with the outcome. When I told my office colleagues, everyone just laughs just because she could not handle and leash a 13 lbs dog. Everyone told me just look for another day care. Thus, Pet Paradise is not worth going for day care.
