It's taken me 3 years to come to terms with this. I'd like to recognize the owner of Mud Puppy and their staff for being wonderful people. I had brought my senior Pug in for services a couple of times before for a nail dremel. (2018/2019) Max Kermit was almost 15 and he'd suffered a stroke 2 years previously.I felt fortunate and blessed he was still alive. I erroneously thought this day would be like any other time... my teenaged daughter & I were up front waiting for Max to be done.I had previously gone back with him before because he was frail but I thought I should stay with my daughter and then she had refused to go back with me.Only men were coming in (very busy that day) and I hesitated to go back (obviously this was all before COVID) but I thought to myself no he's in great hands, he's been here before and the staff is always so good with him. To my horror one of the girls came frantically rushing up and said there was a problem. I went back with her and my little buddy was clinging to life. I flipped out. He was still breathing- the young woman that was doing his nails- I can't recall her name - was so precious. She drove us to an emergency vet in Braselton. Max Kermit I believe had taken his last breath when we were driving there.I was hysterical. My daughter that was with us had Max Kermit practically her entire life. She was 6 months old when we got him.My oldest daughter was almost 3 years old and he was the light of her life. He had been all ours.He made everything better. Back to the review- these women were wonderful in a clutch. She stayed with me at the vet and was so empathetic. I was thankful I got to hold him for as long as I did. She cried with me- it has taken me this long to write & talk about this but if you're reading this you were an angel that day. The owner called me later that day. She was upset also but I did say I don't hold anyone responsible and told her how much I appreciated the groomer and I thanked her for her call. Gosh I was so heartbroken. The owner sent me flowers and a sweet note. Do I recommend this business? Yes I do. I had great experiences there prior to the last one but that was not their fault. I do have 2 little 2 year old Pugs that I routinely take to their vet for nails but I may stop in.

Just note it doesn't say "Mud Puppy" on the outdoor sign.

My dogs seem to really like it here- I just recently tried out the daycare and it worked out really well! My dogs seemed like they were tired when I picked them up which is always a good thing! At $15 for full day and $7.50 for half day it is very reasonably priced. I have also had my dogs groomed here, twice each now, and they look good when I pick them up. After the first time having my smaller dog Chip groomed he was reallllly sensitive about his rear end and they said maybe it was because he got shaved a little close back there... not really sure if that was it but it took about a week for him to get back to normal. However, since then I have taken him back and he was perfectly normal afterwards. It took me awhile between those two visits to decide to use them again but I am glad I did since I didn't have the problem again. FYI- They also offer boarding and a self wash station but I haven't utilized those so can't comment. I'll be continuing to use Mud Puppy for my dogs' grooming and daycare needs though!

Bo had a great spa day at Mud Puppy today! We bring our Goldens there for grooming and are always pleased! Thank you, Mud Puppy!

Bo had a great spa day at Mud Puppy today! He smells so good and coat is so soft! Thank you, Mud Puppy!

I hate being the bad guy but we just want help finding our dog. He was dropped off Thursday, January 7th 2021 around 9am at mud puppy in dacula and within minutes he was lost. I've walked up and down fence road trying to find him and we are just so worried. Our furry family member is cold and alone. He is a white great pyrenees. His name is Walker. He's really timid and just a big softie. Please if anyone sees him let us know!!

It will be something for the eye along with your best friends for healthcare. I am writing this review, though almost six months later it is with heavy heart. On August 15th I lost my best loyal friend, my Skittles. I want to send my deepest gratitude to an very professional organization who cared for my best friend since he was 2 years old until his last breath. If you want true caring professionals for your dog, Hamilton Mill is the place to go. Thank You. For my lost friend: It was that I grew frail and weak And pain kept me from my sleep, Then you did what had to be done, For this -- the last battle -- can't be won. You were sad I understand, But don't let grief then stay your hand, For on this day, more than the rest, Your love and friendship stood the test. We had over 12 happy years, You wouldn't want me to suffer so. When the time came, you let me go. You took me to where to my needs they'll tend, Only, stay with me till the end You held me firm and spoke to me Until my eyes no longer see. I know in time you will agree It is a kindness you do to me. Although my tail its last has waved, From pain and suffering I have been saved. Don't grieve that it must be you Who had to decide this thing to do; We've been so close -- we two -- these years, Don't let your heart hold any tears. I miss you Buddy! So I paid $60 for an exam to get a superficial answer, then was almost definitely upcharged on the shots and the medicine. Also, no one introduced themselves. At least I don't think; genuinely hard to tell because out of the three people that came in, the two talking to me blabber at speeds that would put even the most insufferable salesperson to shame. the third person that came in and took my cat did exactly that. She took my cat, didn't acknowledge or say anything to me, held him incorrectly (with his legs dangling wtf?) and had dropped him off just as abruptly. They also insulted my cat and accused him of being grouchy (or something to that extent) and told the assistant to "watch out for him". TLDR; super impersonable staff, upcharges on service and medications, and unhelpful results Bring your pet here if you hate animals.

I found him through the Nextdoor app and relied on his stated experience and trustworthiness. When I returned after five days, my previously healthy, active four-year-old pit bull was unable to walk. I have since spent thousands of dollars on veterinary care, and my dog's quality of life has been permanently altered. To this day, I have not received a clear or consistent explanation. I was told my dog got out, was missing for several hours, and later was found. I was not aware he was even injured until after he was picked up by my brother the next day when my brother noticed he was hurt. Even if that account were accurate, he didn't take any accountability for the fact that my dog's back legs are paralyzed and a clear story hasn't been given. He claims he was standing outside while my dog was chewing the fence to escape but if that's the case why continue to let him chew it? Nothing is making sense and when I asked him about it he got defensive. All I wanted was answers. Three weeks later, my dog is still suffering. He lives in constant pain, cannot walk without assistance, and is largely confined to bed rest. When I contacted this man seeking clarity, I was met with anger and defensiveness rather than accountability or concern. This situation reflects a serious lack of transparency, judgment, and responsibility. I strongly warn others not to entrust this person with the care of their pet.

I have used Sweet Dreams Pet Sitting in the past, 2-3 times and had OK results, and we recommended…read morethem, but this time will be our last unfortunately. This is due to a nasty and rude letter Cindy left us and we were able to read upon our return. Evidently Cindy took issue with our home have security cameras which made her feel we were watching her, which couldn't have been further from the truth. Like most modern families, we have security cameras in and around our home. These are not hidden, they are in plain view for everyone to see. We have an alarm, etc. We have 4 cats and one gecko that we ask Cindy to watch. She comes over once a day, for about 30 minutes to feed the cats, clean the litter and water the gecko. So over 7 days, about 210 minutes she is on the home. The remaining 23 and 1/2 hours of the day it is nice peace of mind for us to have technology to protect our home and to check in on our pets because we are very close to them. We have had these cameras every time Cindy has watched our home and it has never been an issue before. We are talking about one camera on the main door coming in and my son has a "gecko cam" in his room because geckos are nocturnal and he wants to watch it. So Cindy not only left a snotty letter saying she didn't have anything to tell us because we were "watching her" but she defriended us online, all because we have two cameras in our home. This is 2019 Cindy, people have cameras in their homes. It isn't like you were house sitting and we watched you the entire time. We saw you once, the first day. Every other day we got notification that you arrived and that was all we noticed. These cameras weren't installed in every room and they were not hidden. If you cannot accept people securing their homes then maybe you should get into a different line of work? The first day you came over we got an alert on the gecko cam and noticed you trying to disassemble the terrarium and move the heat lamp, which could have killed the gecko. So my wife called you and walked you through how to open the front so you could water the gecko. That was it! You knew we had this camera the last time you watched our pets because you unplugged the heat lamp because you thought it was burned out and over heating, so we called you to tell you to plug it back in and not change anything. We have considered you to be a friend of our family and referred you to many, but to come home to read your nasty note, to see you blocked us on FB all because we have security cameras is just too much. Then when we try to message you about the note and tell you nobody was watching you, we get no response. This is exactly the wrong thing we needed after a 7 hour drive.
