I brought my little Bingo there to be groomed a month ago and Morgan did an amazing job. Gave him an adorable Mohawk . Today 2/25 I brought Bingo back in because my toddler put diaper ointment on his head and I couldn't get it out myself. Courtney took him right in and did a great job! It's taken me 3 years to come to terms with this. I'd like to recognize the owner of Mud Puppy and their staff for being wonderful people. I had brought my senior Pug in for services a couple of times before for a nail dremel. (2018/2019) Max Kermit was almost 15 and he'd suffered a stroke 2 years previously.I felt fortunate and blessed he was still alive. I erroneously thought this day would be like any other time... my teenaged daughter & I were up front waiting for Max to be done.I had previously gone back with him before because he was frail but I thought I should stay with my daughter and then she had refused to go back with me.Only men were coming in (very busy that day) and I hesitated to go back (obviously this was all before COVID) but I thought to myself no he's in great hands, he's been here before and the staff is always so good with him. To my horror one of the girls came frantically rushing up and said there was a problem. I went back with her and my little buddy was clinging to life. I flipped out. He was still breathing- the young woman that was doing his nails- I can't recall her name - was so precious. She drove us to an emergency vet in Braselton. Max Kermit I believe had taken his last breath when we were driving there.I was hysterical. My daughter that was with us had Max Kermit practically her entire life.She was 6 months old when we got him.My oldest daughter was almost 3 years old and he was the light of her life. He had been all ours.He made everything better. Back to the review- these women were wonderful in a clutch. She stayed with me at the vet and was so empathetic. I was thankful I got to hold him for as long as I did. She cried with me- it has taken me this long to write & talk about this but if you're reading this you were an angel that day. The owner called me later that day. She was upset also but I did say I don't hold anyone responsible and told her how much I appreciated the groomer and I thanked her for her call. Gosh I was so heartbroken. The owner sent me flowers and a sweet note. Do I recommend this business? Yes I do. I had great experiences there prior to the last one but that was not their fault. I do have 2 little 2 year old Pugs that I routinely take to their vet for nails but I may stop in. read more

I never leave reviews, but in this case I feel as though I need to warn others so they do not make the same mistake I did with bringing my puppy to Mud Puppy. I brought in my dog to be groomed for the first time at Mud Puppy. He has been groomed many other times with another groomer, but I recently moved to the area and was trying a new groomer- I called and spoke with the receptionist the week before to confirm what I wanted, which was a bath, cut, anal gland expression, nail trim, teeth brush, and ear plucking. My appointment was scheduled for 9am. I arrived at 8:55am and waited until 9:20am as the doors were locked and no one was at the front desk, which was a red flag. When they finally opened the doors, I brought my dog in spoke with the receptionist to reiterate what I wanted and to give them information on my dog as he had never been there before. The receptionist took notes and I left. I was aware that my dog had matting around his collar and under his armpits which I stated to the receptionist, otherwise he was not matted anywhere else. She called and confirmed that there was matting on his neck and under his armpits. When I arrived to pick him up he looked fine so I left. On the way to the car I figured I would go back in to confirm that they had done the anal gland expression. The receptionist then got snippy and said that I was supposed to let them know that I wanted his glands expressed when I made the appointment, so they did not do it. When I called to make the appointment I specifically said I wanted his glands expressed because his glands get full very quickly. They begrudgingly took him back and expressed his glands. This is where it gets worse. When I got home I noticed that he was licking his rear end (anus) incessantly and would not stop, this progressed over 2 days. His anus was extremely red, inflamed, and swollen. He wouldn't eat and did not want to move. He hid under the bed and did not want to come out, this is very unlike him which is how I know he was in pain. I took him to the vet and the vet stated that he has severe clipper burn which is very painful. The vet gave him a shot and an antibiotic spray, which is helping. I called Mud Puppy back to let them know what happened and the manager immediately blamed me for her groomers mistake. She stated that my dog was severely matted which is not true, and the groomer had to cut that close because of the matting. As stated above, there was some matting around his neck which the receptionist confirmed, NONE around his tail and definitely not on his anus. She only offered an apology and then stated that he probably has sensitive skin. She offered no solution to rectify THEIR error and only offered a dry apology. Again, I would not usually post a review, but my dog has been in pain and I had to take him to the vet because of the lack of care the groomer took with him. Beware if you are thinking of taking your pet to MudPuppy. I should have turned around as soon as I got there and the reception was unorganized. read more

My dogs seem to really like it here- I just recently tried out the daycare and it worked out really well! My dogs seemed like they were tired when I picked them up which is always a good thing! At $15 for full day and $7.50 for half day it is very reasonably priced. I have also had my dogs groomed here, twice each now, and they look good when I pick them up. After the first time having my smaller dog Chip groomed he was reallllly sensitive about his rear end and they said maybe it was because he got shaved a little close back there... not really sure if that was it but it took about a week for him to get back to normal. However, since then I have taken him back and he was perfectly normal afterwards. It took me awhile between those two visits to decide to use them again but I am glad I did since I didn't have the problem again. FYI- They also offer boarding and a self wash station but I haven't utilized those so can't comment. I'll be continuing to use Mud Puppy for my dogs' grooming and daycare needs though! read more

I hate being the bad guy but we just want help finding our dog. He was dropped off Thursday, January 7th 2021 around 9am at mud puppy in dacula and within minutes he was lost. I've walked up and down fence road trying to find him and we are just so worried. Our furry family member is cold and alone. He is a white great pyrenees. His name is Walker. Well, be aware of the price they give you!! I called In since I haven't been there in awhile. Tori advised me that the price had gone up but included everything. That was fine with me. She quoted me $60 per dog. I have two dogs. When I picked up both my dogs after their groom the girl working in the front, didn't get her name, charged me $65 per dog. I asked about pricing and she said that Tory should of never quoted me that price. Didn't flinch or honor it. Frankly she didn't give a damn. She didn't make anything right!!!! I have dealt in the past with Morgan who I believe is the owner. She's always been kind and helpful. I never had any situation like this happen. We have boarded our dogs here in the past and it's been a great experience!!!! Not sure what happened today. Shame. read more

Took my dog to get groomed here a couple of months ago. Really was hoping I could like this place since it's so close to me. Not sure what happened but my dog had a cut and when he went to potty, he was bleeding. It stopped after a couple of potty breaks but it freaked me out. So glad it wasn't more serious. read more

Excellent groomer! They have groomed my dog several times and they are my absolute favorite. I have a rescue that is scared of people, noises, new environments etc. There is a guy that works there that came out to get my dog for her appointment. He was so gentle and kind with her. She wasn't even scared. When I picked her up, she was wagging her tail and so happy! It makes me feel so good that I can trust these wonderful people with my sweet Morkie. This company not only lost a family friends dog but they have proceeded to harass them on social media. They put the blame on the owners somehow after their incompetent employee didn't close the gate properly. No one should have to tell a PET GROOMER to close the gate to not let dogs run lose into the woods. The dog has been missing for almost a week now and instead of trying to remedy the situation, the owners have had their friends begin harassing the dog owners as well. Clearly they do not care about dogs so not sure why they are in the grooming business. Do not take your dog here if you want to ensure your dog actually comes home after being groomed. They lost the dog in under 10 minutes of being dropped off. Rude and incompetent. read more

We have taken our two dogs in here a couple of times to have the nail dremel service. For small dogs they only charge $12 which is well worth it and a very reasonable price. The dremel all but ensures that your pet will not get quicked like sometimes happens with regular clippers. The staff is very nice and professional and they love the animals. I have never used their day care or boarding services but I am sure that service is probably great as well. read more

We have been using Mud Puppy for about 2 years now! They typically do a good job, however, today my sweet girl came back home with fleas! I called to inquire about the fleas and what will be done about it. The store owner got on the phone and immediately took defense without listening to a very loyal customer. She then accused me of being upset about the price of the service. Remember, we have been using their service for about 2 years, never questioned the price, and always tipped above the asking price for the groomer. For her to hint that I was upset over the price was upsetting at the least. If that was the case, we would not have been back there Morgan! Unfortunately, you have lost a paying and loyal customer to your business today because of the way you handle this. Even if the outcome was the same and you stood by your decision that she did not get fleas from your salon, you did not offer any sympathy or empathy for the customer. We have a choice of who we do business with and I am very surprise that in the state of the country today, you will treat a loyal paying customer that way. FYI, I would have been happy if you offered a flea collar and acted as if you cared! read more

I usually take my dogs to the Petco nearby for their DIY wash but decided to try this place because it's closer. When I walked in the place looked and smelled clean. They also do daycare and boarding. The girl at the front was very friendly and help me get set up. They offered me a variety of shampoos to use which was nice and they had towels and brushes as well. I really liked the hose spray head, it was like the kind you use in your lawn, it gave me different option to change the type spray I use on my dog. Overall a great experience. I love their price of $20 per month for unlimited washes! Will definitely be back. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I had to ask for conditioner and their tubs don't have the racks to raise the dogs up so I had to be bent over the tub the whole time. Normally I go to my vet to get my dog groomed but with all of this going on the grooming wasn't open. I had a friend tell me about this place and decided to give it a try sense my dog was WAY over due for a bath and brush out. I was very please with them and they made my sweet girl look 5 years younger, she is so white and soft. The girls I talked to were very pleasant and I thought that the price for what I got was reasonable. I recommend this place for your pup. read more
