On my way to Ship Street Playground to read on one of those fresh mornings, I noticed this tiny shop at the end of the street and across Limehouse. It's a narrow corridor opened to the street but you can see signs outside with the 'Funny Shop' name on it. I had a huge craving for coffee but I had to make a detour to get to the playground so I decided to have it later, when the sun would be stronger and maybe sit at a café. So seeing this place opened made me smile. What a shame they only sell already made coffee (with sugar and milk in a sachet...) and that's not my cup of...coffee (I like it dark and bitter, no sugar, no milk, pure coffee!). Disappointed, I took a leaflet and walked up the stairs to the little sheltered area on the third floor of the playground. I had a look at the leaflet and realized they really are a gift shop: they have a ton of different combinations of fruits and flowers and the leaflet was printed in color, which drew my attention immediately. Prices range from 600 (only fruits) to 1800HKD (fruits, moon cake, cookies and red wine). Later I found out that they even have website with many other options: flower bouquets for various occasions and other flower and fruit basket combinations, some of them with toys too. Prices for those aren't listed online but you can email or call them, as the Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching...!
Oh! And they have another shop in Cheung Sha Wan. read more
