I saw this tiny place on my way to the gym one morning but as I was in a hurry for my yoga class I decided to check it out later. And a few days later, as I was on my way to the same thing, I took out a leaflet and read through. It's a hole in the wall that sells sandwiches, burgers, coffee, tea and other morning drinks for very cheap prices.
This morning I decided to give it a go, for my morning coffee fix. They have 'house special' and 'specialty' coffee. I had a small Americano (15HKD) that I'm sipping as I type. And it's okay, possibly just that, a morning fix. It's bitter like hell, but I can't deny it has some personality. Next time I may try their special ones: I was surprised by the variety (Kenya AA, Turkish Style, First Grade Blue Mountain?!), not very common for these such places. You can also add soya milk instead of regular milk. And this is why I like it, because they serve coffee, quickly, early in the morning. But for those who are lunching on sandwiches, I must say they look good - tuna, ham and cheese, apple and cucumber, crab meat-...for around 20HKD. Taking lunch to work can save you a few honkies at the end of the week. And if you work around they have their lunch set from 12 to 2.30 pm selling soups, burgers and pasta for no more than 35HKD.
Still feeling hungry after lunch? There is more...from 2.30 to 4pm they have their tea set offering pizza toasties, grilled sandwiches, hot dogs and even fruit salad for around 25HKD. A few nice surprises in their menu for such a small corner shop, I must say!
And they are friendly, there's nothing like friendly people in the morning. read more
