Churros funnel cake
Eve V.

I wanted something sweet and this spot came up. I love myself some funnel cake, but I don't usually know where to get it, other than county fairs or theme parks and I haven't been to either in a while. So I had no choice but to stop by and try it, and I wasn't disappointed. The funnel cake was crunchy in some areas and soft in the areas that need to be. All the flavors were well balanced, and not overly sweet. The funnel cake was delicious and tasted fresh, it didn't have an old or muddled oil flavor that sometimes is part of funnel cakes served at fairs. This is a little stand in a parking lot, follow on if @funnelland for additional details. Service was prompt and friendly. They also accept various forms of payment including cash apps and traditional forms of payment. I will be coming back! I am so excited I don't have to wait for a carnival/fair to enjoy this yummy treat.

I was driving back home after a Dodger game and ran into this open lot with multiple food vendors, which includes Funnel Land. The funnel cakes were prepped fairly quickly and the end result was amazing. I ordered the Churro funnel cake, which was a wonderfully crisp yet fluffy funnel base with a touch of caramel drizzle, cinnamon, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Think a Cinnamon Toast Crunch dessert, without the crunch; our inner child will thank you!

Tried this place for the first time last night and it was delicious. We received great service! There are also tacos, churros, and crepes right next to the funnel cakes. We will definitely be back.

The place was somewhat small but wasn't really busy for a Saturday afternoon, and we noticed they had some spacious auxiliary seating areas specifically for Oakobing across the hall. At first glance, the prices seemed sort of high for shaved ice, so we opted for sharing 2 of the smallest personal sizes ($8.5 each). It turns out that this size was plenty. I'm not sure how big the regular bowls are, but I think especially after a meal the personal size is plenty for a satisfying dessert for 2 people. I'm assuming part of the large price difference in sizes comes down to the large amount of fresh fruit that comes on their regular bowls. Still, we very much enjoyed our bowls. The ice is shaved almost impossibly thin, and rather than melting into a pool of water almost turns into a sorbet/ice cream like texture, which is very satisfying to eat. I enjoyed how their condensed milk topping was diluted to form a lighter cream that was more sauce-like than think and drizzle-like. It all lended to making the dessert enjoyably light. I would definitely drop by again, especially if we could avoid the parking costs.

I've had their gelatos before, and they have very unique flavors (unfortunately the candle smoked and salty egg yolk is not my favorite because it only tastes smoky to me, but some people really love it so I think you should try it if you have the chance). We went on a hot Saturday mid-day, and lots of other people had the same idea, so we had to wait a little bit for a table. They give you a beeper so you can come back once a table is ready. This time, we ordered the mango sticky rice shaved ice, and it was so good my husband and I were mind-blown. It's fun to eat because you get multiple components on one tray, and you can continually go between eating the mango sticky rice and the shaved ice with mango gelato, mango chunks, and coconut cream. Every part of it was so yummy and refreshing, it didn't feel too difficult to share and finish between two people. They hide mango chunks inside the middle of the shaved ice too, so it's not solely a bowl of ice when you get to the bottom. I will go back again just for the mango sticky rice shaved ice because it is so unique and delicious, but when mango season is over, they stop selling it.

She let me know that Memorylook is known for einspanners and they have their own parking lot. When there's a parking lot on-site, say less.. Parking wasn't too difficult to come by, and there are even a few electric charging spots if you need it. I stopped by around noontime and there were people inside/outside chatting, working, taking pics in the photobooth, etc. The line went by quickly and I had my hojicha einspanner in no time! It was so tasty!! The cream top was light and not too sweet. The hojicha was smooth. I really enjoyed it, and the latte definitely helped me keep cool while driving around LA on such a hot day. The cream top works nicely with the matcha, the matcha flavor is pretty light Blood Orangeade 1/5: this was honestly not my fav. I didn't end up finishing it, it tasted like syrup+sparkling water. The drinks weren't spectacular, but given the easy parking and tables, I'd prob come back to study
