Are used to go to the salon, and I figured I'd give them another chance, but let me tell you Tina is terrible. She cut my toe now and it was bleeding and she didn't even offer me a Band-Aid. They are so over priced and not professional at all. I had a gel manicure, and I asked her if I could have cuticle oil and she looked at me like I was crazy no hand massage nothing I really don't recommend this place at all. I don't know if it was because the day after a holiday, but they are very unprofessional, normally I go to Yessica's nails and In hopatcong and they are so professional and clean. I just pray I don't get a fungus now from this place I am really very upset and for what I paid my nails should've looked better. I usually come here when I need my nails done last minute. I never make an appointment I usually just walk in and wait for someone to assist me. I am just about always happy with the way my nails come out however, there are times where the nail tech will be a little rough on my cuticles. This was an absolutely terrible experience. I had called a few days prior to schedule an appointment for a gel Mani and a gel pedi. This was my first time going to the salon. I arrived on time from my appointment and stir the front for 10 minutes until somebody noticed that I was there. Eventually, a lady came up and greeted me and told me to go to the pedicure area. Starting the pedicure, I noticed that her tools were in a pencil box that is meant for school children. Of more concern was the fact that they were just randomly in there and not sanitized in any way shape or form. I stopped her and asked her to use sanitize tools and she said and got up to go get them. Not sure if they were just trying to cut back a bit and only use those if somebody asks for them or not... But really gross. She felt up the tub with Luke warm water that was filled with bubbles from dish soap. Will never go back. read more

2 stars because my nails came out decent. I gave this place a chance about 3 times and I'm over it. Customer service is non existence. Lynn did my nails 2 out of the 3 times... not a word to me... and cut my nails way too short when I clearly said I wanted them cut "just a little bit". They were so short she couldn't do the coffin nail shape that I always request. For all the money people pay... they should give you a warm towel after your service along with cutting your cuticles. They're lacking a lot here. It's unfortunate... but I won't be back. And I hear their pedicures are very rushed. Not the place for a relaxing experience. My nails look good, they do have lots of colors. But all they do is paint your nails. I got a gel manicure with a design and it was $37. They didn't give any lotion, no massage, no hand scrub. I'm giving this place 2 stars because: it took the nail tech 1 1/2 hrs to apply a full, acrylic set with gel polish and gel top coat; I'm not loving the shape of my nails which are more almond than square which is what I asked for; I paid $53 which I think is a lot of money; there's also $1 charge, one time, for the emery board and buffer they use on your nails that you take with you and to bring back on your next appointment so they can use exclusively on you. The only reason I came here was because the previous nail salon I went to charged an extra $5 if you used your credit card which was not done at this particular salon before Covid. I didn't like that too much so I decided to look someplace else and this is where Funky Nails comes in. I seriously doubt I'll come back. Is it only me, or does it seem like wherever you go, there's some extra charge for something because of lost revenue due to Covid??? read more

Asked for them very thin, which they are, and i appreciate that, but the acrylic was not spread evenly throughout my nails so they look bumpy. I used to come here all the time to get my eyebrows done. I won't ever go here again. I had been noticing they did a worse and worse job, until the latest time I went. I asked for an eyebrow wax and the lady absolutely butchered it. By the end, they were not the same size at all - one eyebrow was much shorter than the other. What's even worse is, I couldn't figure out why my eyebrows were burning so bad afterward. Usually they didn't hurt at all. A few days later, my eyebrows are COVERED in scabs. Very poor service. Nail technician that did my pedicure was speedy and did a pedicure I could've done myself. Unfortunately it was 29 out of my pocket too where I wouldn't have paid more than 15 for something like this. The plan was to get a mani/pedi. Started with a pedi and left without a mani. Decided to go to something like Walmart instead. When I went to pay, the lady forgot to bring back my debit card and had to have the owner bring it over to me because she began working and forgot about my card after I signed. I went into funky nails this evening to get a gel mani and a regular pedicure.. Walked out with a regular mani and pedi.. The lady did such a sloppy job on my pedicure that I was afraid she'd do a sloppy mess on my gel mani so I ended up asking her to give me a regular mani with clear polish .. I also felt like she rushed doing the pedi and my nail polish was uneven and on my skin and she left it like that and I had to ask her for a cotton ball to fix it my self ..
