Ladies doing pedicures were rude and rough. Will not come back. My nails are lumpy as well

I recently returned to Nail 21. Everyone was nice, it's super clean, and I got a great gel manicure.

I went there a couple of times. The prices are way too high for the quality of service. I got a fungus infection on my toe from pedicure. The girl doing my pedicure hurt me pretty bad on 2 toes (and got annoyed with me because I said it hurts). Most staff don't speak English, so it's hard to explain what you DON'T want and they get annoyed if you ask them not to do something (why would that be a problem?) read more

I went there for the first time on Monday for a gel manicure and my nails started peeling on Wednesday. This has never happened before at any other salon. I spent 15 extra dollars to get chrome added to my nails and it rubbed off the next day. I had asked if I could see a different color and she rolled her eyes at me. Very rude. read more

How to schedule 10:00 appointment was the first person in the line. Owner opened late. Started with everybody else. I waited till 10:20. Still nobody was doing my nails I ended up leaving don't book appointments if you don't have the staff to fulfill them. I said I have an event to attend and did not care. The owner was rude and pushy. It was uncomfortable to be there when someone came in to purchase a gift card and she was pushy regarding the amt the person could afford. At check out she increase the price by $20 dollars from the original price she told me. She was rude and not up front about cost. I will never go back nor recommend to anyone in the area. read more

I started going here after my horrible time at 3D nails. I can honestly say Chris will never allow a customer to be unhappy. She is exceptionally good at what she died and expect the girls to be also. I went in Thursday and she explained how I like nails to Jenny and I can't believe how beautiful she did. I pointed out something and she fixed it. Chris was inspecting them as she went on. I am so happy with how nice they came out. I highly recommend them. read more

After a few good experiences, every time I went, they cut me during my manicure or pedicure or both. They also cut my daughter and friend that I referred there. The last time I went they actually cut into my nail bed so deep it bled. I thought it was my cuticle at first but as my nail grew out I could see a deep gash in my nail. read more

Not a great 1st time experience- sat with first nail tech (who I think is the owner) and discussed options for gel or UV gel. She didn't seem pleased that I choose the less expensive service (gels) and it showed in the rush and sloppy job she did on my nails. The pedicurist was great but the owner needs an attitude check and a class on how to treat customers, especially first time clients. I pointed out the errors she made on my nails and she rolled her eyes and said it was "dust" and to "wash my hands". Smudges aren't dust and not painting polish on the edges of my nails can't be fixed with soap and water. read more

These ladies... crazy in the BEST way! I called the day before to be their first client the next morning (9:30) for an acrylic fill. I had an hour before work. Walked in around 9:25 and they immediately started working on me after taking my temperature and signing waivers for COVID. I had 3 ladies switching up the job to fix my previous set, and I was nervous I was rushing them but the finished nails were exactly what I'd been looking for! It was definitely a power hour for them lol but they were so nice to me. Super patient and attentive, they even suggested I do the UV gel extensions instead of acrylic because my natural nails are so brittle. Didn't try pressuring me into it, just told me about the benefits of the gel lasting longer and looking more natural, and left it up to me to decide. Worth it. I know nail extensions of any kind can give a nail tech a headache, so I'm very happy with my experience. They made caring comments about how they wanted to make sure I get what I want with quality, and never made me feel like I was annoying them like nail techs at *other* salons. Local business owners need to be praised for their hard work, especially during these crazy times! Salon was clean and professional, and they offer a rewards card. I live in Jersey City but I go to doctor's appointment across Nail21. True GEM nail salon. The ladies (Cindy , Claudia.) and the owner (Chris) are so nice and friendly. Very clean and nice environment, ambiance and atmosphere. Actually I love the music she plays too (happy and upbeat) I will make it a weekly trip to go out there when I do my food shopping too. 10 ++. Anything, I am impressed with them is upon check in, they test my temperature and make everyone signed a paper to put our name and phone number which I think it's so helpful. I came here an hour before closing to get a mani pedi. They did a good job, felt a little rushed (they did the mani pedi at the same time which I understand) and since they don't have driers I sat there for a couple of minutes to let my nails dry a bit. They were cleaning and shut off the music and basically walking out (well before they closed) so i felt rushed out which wasn't great. Being in the service industry, I understand but also understand it doesn't feel good to the customer, especially since it was at least 30 min before they closed. All of my nails chipped not even 24 hours later which was a big disappointment. The salon is clean and nice, but since my manicure was so rushed my nails chipped the next afternoon. The top coat was slapped on quickly. Hope my experience here next time is better. read more

Got a pedicure today! Everything was great! Very clean , very safe and they are taking per caution with everything with COVID-19. My toes came out great. The only thing was no drying station so I had to be extra careful. But overall color choices and service and workers were wonderful! read more

Struggled to find a new nail salon for months and I'm so glad I finally found Nail21. Everyone in the salon was super friendly. I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure and could not be happier with how they came out! I love how they took their time and did not take short cuts with my nails. This salon is a bit pricier than my last salon however, I don't mind paying for quality, beautiful nails that will actually last more than 2 weeks. Give them a try! read more

I took my girlfriend here for our 10 month anniversary and the staff was very nice and very helpful. We walked in and they assisted us ASAP right after taking our temperature. I went to this nail salon for my birthday since the old nail salon I used to go to closed, and I would say this was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Honestly I don't really write reviews ever but I'm decently annoyed - I called earlier today to ask if they had time for a full acrylic set. Their website says that a full acrylic set is $80, I understood that French would be a little more, but was really annoyed when I got there and the man doing, my nails tells me that they don't do acrylics sets. I was very confused because on the phone earlier, I had asked for an acrylic set and the girl told me a time to come. So he tells me they only do gel, and it's $120 for a French gel set....but then the woman next to him says that they do acrylic sets but the gel is sturdier and more durable.....I already had him cut my cuticles, and I needed my nails done so I said whatever. Then when my nails are done...he tells me to "be careful because gel is not as durable as acrylic" it also seemed like they were just making up the price as they go along.....told me "acrylic and gel are the same price" OK. It was my first time going to this salon. I was impressed with their Covid precautions: temperature check, plastic dividers, new emory boards for each customer and wiping down stations. I came for a mani and pedi. Very satisfied with both. I did not feel rushed and they took their time to make sure my nails were done well. They have a reward points card too.
