Not sure why there's bad reviews here. I live near this salon and always passed by so decided to give it a try. Did a walk in and they were so nice and accommodating even though I went close to closing. They sat me down immediately and gave me a great gel pedicure (I kept moving around cuz I was so caffeinated but they were rly nice about it). The inside is super clean and staff is really nice. This is my second experience at Jane's nails. The first time was an emergency cut and color change that I needed done in 30 minutes (because of work). They were so accommodating and took me right away. Today, I was pampering myself for my honeymoon. Once again, taken in right away. Offered me some hot green tea on this oddly cold April morning. The girl took her time with my gel manicure since my nails were damaged from a terrible acrylic set I had from another salon. She did an excellent job and my nails look great. My pedicure was also fabulous. My feet needed some TLC from being on my feet for 12+ hours a day. The salon is clean and the staff is incredibly nice. I'm sad to write this negative review because I really wanted to love this place. (even though my gut instinct told me otherwise) I literally live a minute drive away from this location. and I was tired of driving 30 minutes to my go to nail salon because it's just too far. so I thought I would give this place a chance. I walked in for a mani and a pedi. The lady asked me to sit at the pedicure chair and someone will be there. I sat there for 15-20 minutes. Then a lady came 20 minutes later, turned the water on and told me to dip my feet in. Sorry side note: couldn't you have done that before while I was awkwardly sitting on the pedicure chair? You were probably busy but it would've been nice to turn the water on so I can dip my feet in while waiting instead of awkwardly sitting with my legs up. Anyways.. it was ONE OF THE WORST pedicures I've ever had. She only cut my toenails and painted it. No cuticles taking out, filing or anything!! NO massage came with my pedicure. It was a slap of lotion and rubbed it off with a wet towel. She then asked me to come to the nail desk and I was mortified that she was going to do my nails. I mean.. after she did a horrible, lazy job with my toenails, I didn't want anything else from her. yup same lazy job as she did my pedicure: no cuticles taking out, filing or anything. No hand massage - just a slop of lotion and wiped it with a towel. I saw a customer walking in and saying "Hi Jane, how have you been" to the lady. My reaction was as if I saw a ghost -- I mean.. this place is called Jane's nails and the lady's name is Jane so is.. she really the owner?! I saw all the employees coming to her for questions so I immediately knew.. she was the..owner. I shrieked silently inside. usually when you have the owner doing your nails, they are the ones that are good and professional. but not here. I was disappointed because the owner here was unskilled. my color for my nails were a light pink. I wanted something light and subtle but as she was painting my nails -- I noticed she was painted it 3 times. She explained because the color is so light, it's okay to do that. I agreed BUT as I was drying my hands, I noticed my nails were getting wrinkled. she painted it over so many times that the paint on my nails were saggy and creasing. right after I left, I went into a different nail salon to get my nails redone. for me -- nail salons are the best way to pamper myself and relax but my experience was neither of those. won't be back read more

I called to have it fixed and they did it for nothing BUT within another 4 days yet another popped off. Called again . While on my way there I knew something was wrong. ANOTHER 3 CAME OFF !! They didn't really listen when I explained the shape I wanted. The polish bubbled and cracked so they had to fix and go into a second hour there. So I had read to 2 prior reviews and decided to give this place a shot. While I do agree that the interior is modern and clean, and that the massage chairs are very cool to relax and dry your hands/feet in, I have a few other issues. I specifically made an appointment since I would be going after work. I arrived and had to wait 20 minutes, and there is only 1 chair, so I bascally had to stand until the other person got up. The manicure was rushed. No other way around it. I was also left with nail polish that looked clumpy and polish around my nails. The pedicure was just okay. It just wasn't relaxing at all. I was on the hunt for a new nail salon and I was going to another salon in Denville but that was closed - it was Sunday. So I drove to this complex and found Jane's. The salon interior is nice, modern and clean. The massage chairs look new and clean. They give you a hot stone massage and paraffin for a regular pedicure - which was really nice. I just had a regular manicure but add to that, the lady (I think she must be the owner) massaged fresh aloe on my hands then followed with a lotion. I really felt pampered. You also have the option to dry your nails either lying on their massage chairs or sit by the nail drying area. I love it! Highly recommend. This is my salon now! read more

Terrible pedicures. The paint looks similar to what I could do at home. The pedicure baths look unclean and are not lined. They are also not very thorough. I had a great pedicure. The woman spent a lot of time massaging my feet and legs. They even give you a quick hot stone massage and they put wax on your heels. She cared about making my feet as soft as possible! I've been here before and will definitely come back. The employees are very nice. Would definitely recommend! The staff are polite, considerate and talented! And, unlike many salons, many of the estheticians have been there for years. I have been a loyal customer for quite sometime now, however my last few times there my gels last for less than a week, depending on who does the pedicure it's just OK!. My last visit I was there two hours... not because they were doting on me. My pedicure was mediocre....done by what I consider a lazy person who only cares about the jewelry you are wearing. Visited Janes and found the place to have the right setup for a great experience but the place is not well run and it made me feel really short-changed. I felt rushed since they were slammed and isn't a mani-pedi experience about 80% about the relaxation and 20% about the final result (important nonetheless). My last manicurist pointed out a break in my nail while doing my manicure. I asked her 3x to repair it. She hurt me grinding off the gel coat. When she was applying my gel coat it looked good so I figured she finally did the repair. By the time I got home, the rip and separated and I was leaving on a business trip the next morning. I went here for a routine pedicure and was horrified at the results. Not only did the person get nail polish all over my skin around the nail, she tried to fix it 3 times and could not do it. I go here all the time for pedicures and waxing. Everyone is nice and professional. I think I've only encountered a wait once, on Friday before a holiday weekend... and even then, only 20 or so minutes. A simple mani/pedi combo is a great price. But make sure to choose Essie or Opi nail polish, whatever the other brand they have is terrible. read more

First time at Jane's Nails and we will not be going back!! We walked in with no appointment...nobody was in there at all, we were taken care of right away. We arrived at 12 and were out of there by 12:25. We both had a mani/pedi. She did not even massage my legs at all and barely pumice d my feet...HELLO, that is the best part of the pedicure, the massage!!
