Not going to lie, I fully intended on getting a pedicure across the street at the new place but I was a little too early and they were still closed. Absolutely scorched my foot with boiling hot water. After I communicated that it was too hot she added cold water for about 5 seconds and asked me to try again. It was still too hot (obviously). Then another 5 seconds of cold water after which I told her I'd just wait for it to cool down. Totally burnt the skin on my foot. read more

We'll they were the nicest people,especially Alice was the nicest ever and I can't believe how they have made a totally flip to' nasty!!! I was leaving and had just given the girl who did my pedicure her tip , the owner did not see it. as I was walking by he yelled to me did you give a tip? I said yes he said ok. I didn't care much for that! So another month went by and I went again and in witnessing the argument between the owner (his wife) and a client, I think that was the last straw. They were arguing because they want 20% tip for every service. Well I think they should raise their prices if they're not making enough money but to demand a certain amount of tip is wrong! I went for a manicure/pedicure. To tell you it was bad isn't fully giving it justice. The girl was new everyone kept giving her directions, since I spoke Spanish I was hearing there directions I couldn't just sit back and relax, I had to watch her, she wanted to wait until both feet had no polish to place them in water. Then she left one toe nail misshaped and she barely filed and shaped the other. After giving her directions she made the corrections but missed 2 other parts of the pedicure. No hot stone and long massage. By the time I finished I told the owner what had happened but he was more concerned about if I had paid. Never returning. Not worth it. read more

Just wanted to plug Tiffany Nails in Boonton! I'm spontaneous when it comes to getting a pedicure. I went to the two local places, and they couldn't take me...so I called Tiffany's and there was no one there (maybe parking is the issue?). Anyhow, super clean and friendly! As I was drying, I got the standard massage and it was soooo good I ended up paying for a 10 minute chair massage! The massage was seriously amazing (Tony...deep tissue!). He continued well after my timer went off! If you are looking to support local businesses, this is definitely one to look into! read more

I used to really love this place but I don't know what's been going on in past few years. It's always empty which is never a good sign and that never used to be the case. Back in the good old days you could choose your scent for your pedicure and they'd have fun, contemporary movies on with the captions so you could understand what was happening. Now those TVs just say no signal. Why do they even have them on and the music is outdated and too low key. But what really prompted me to write this review was the horrible mani pedi I had today. The woman was way too rough despite my numerous requests for her to ease up. There was a point where she kept prodding a sore spot that SHE CREATED that I was genuinely about to ask for someone else to take over. I'm still in pain 3 hours later. She also wasted so much product on me. She just glopped lotions and creams all over. It was really excessive and wasteful. I walked out of there thinking I'm never coming back. Sorry! If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have been here on multiple occasions. But today I experienced the worst experience ever. I had a 12:00 appointment and I knew I would have wait a bit because i booked the appointment not too long before the actual time. I arrived a little early and was greeted by a lady and she asked me If i had an appointment I told her I had a 12' and asked her if I have time to go and grab a coffee she said yes of course you have time. So I'm like great. I come back less than 5 mins later and sit down on the couch next to the girl that came in behind me. We wait a couple more minutes and the lady calls her over and starts doing her nails. I'm ok with it because I realized she's treating her nails to remove the gel and I know she has to sit with the remover for a while since I always get the same thing. While she's doing that another lady walks in. She also has an appointment for 12:00. They quickly sit her down at the pedicure station. Which I find weird since I'm also getting a pedicure and by the time she arrived already waited 10 mins. So I'm like whatever I brush it off. The lady comes back after 15 mins of waiting and hands me the colors of dip powder to choose from. She comes back a minute later and tells me to go sit on the chair. Mind you I still haven't chosen what color I want. So I tell her and she gets annoyed and starts talking in Chinese to who I assume is the manager from all the times I've been in. I told her I wish you would have given me the colors sooner since I was waiting for a while. She ignores me and asks me how short I want it. I tell her you can just cut them off since I'm doing tips. She tells me she has no time for tips as she's already cutting down all my nails. Im like are you serious why wait to cut my nails off to tell me that. She starts talking to the manager again in Chinese. And tells me she cant do them. I'm like well you already cut off all my nails. At this point I'm really upset because my nails were long some where uneven since they broke but could have easily been evened out if she had told me sooner she couldn't do tips. I'm literally in the verge of tears at this point because I really don't like short nails as they make my hands look fatter. I know so trivial but I'm going to AC this weekend gambling so you know my nails will be in focus at the tables!!!At this point she's still going but I tell her no I want tips so I'm going to leave if you cant do them. She then tells me fine I'll do tips for 70. Im like woah that's 20 more than I usually pay here. And she continues to give me excuses about the price. And she's like let's do manicure we leave that for next time. I'm like ok let's do that. She asks me what I color I want I'm like I didn't get a chance to look at them because I was looking at the dip powder colors. Im so frustrated at this point because I fell so overwhelmed and rushed and can't even get what I want. So I'm like can we just please do the powder dip with tips. I'll pay whatever. So she annoyingly starts doing my cuticles, rushing through it and not even actually doing anything to them. I'm this point I'm like if you don't want to do them don't do them. I'm going to to have to leave. I'll pay for this. And she's like it's ok you don't have to pay. But I insist on paying because I'm no broke b**** money was never the problem. I just want it done right. And she clearly acted like she had better things to do. I walk up to the register and insist on paying. And she's like no we won't charge you. I left before I could say anything rude out of anger because I didn't want to be a Karen. read more

I don't recommend this place unless you wanna be treated rudely and TOLD to leave a tip and then basically forced to tip. (I always tip my manicurist but I find it rude when I'm ASKED to tip. I already planned on doing it..like what.) Went to get my LCN extensions removed and do a gel manicure to give my nails a break. Whenever I've done this in the past @ salons I've never run into a problem. I've been a returning customer @ this salon getting gel manicures so I didn't see it as an issue. I even called a day before and told them I needed my LCN removed. Next day I get there and as soon as my usual manicurist starts working on my nails I can tell I'm in for a rough time. He cut them so short he nearly got my skin, burned me with the drill, and left black polish residue all over my nails (I've had my nails black many times and salons have been able to completely remove it, idk what his problem was) He kept telling me my nails were "terrible." Like thanks for the insult??? He barely filed them, dust was sliding the file across my nail super soft acting like he was bored with what he was doing. It was really frustrating since I was paying for a service. I normally don't get upset but this was an exception. Especially cuz the whole time he was removing the gel he was sighing and almost growling at me? It was a total switch up from the friendly manicurist personality he used to have with me, I was offended. After he was done he forced me to pick a color within like 2 seconds and then told me I couldn't have that color cuz it wasn't dark enough to cover HIS MESS. So he told me to pic a dark color...and refused to fix the black residue because he "wasn't able to". So I found a decent color but he rushed doing the gel and they came out ok. They'll last me a few weeks at least until my nails start to grow out. The worst part was he walked away to give a woman a massage and the owner had to finish up. Then she had the audacity to force me to TIP. Literally asked me if I had cash and when I said I didn't she made me give him one on the receipt when they have a sign that says no cash tip. Like are u actually kidding me?? Forcing me to tip instead of fixing the shit service. I used to love this place but I won't be returning, waste of my money and now my nails are worse than when I walked in. read more

However, I heard that they are now under new ownership and was intrigued since I've always remembered how great they used to be. I got the intensive pedicure and was very happy with the outcome and the new management. The facilities are pretty much the same as they were never inadequate to begin with. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The woman who performed the service was excellent. She spent a good hour on my pedicure and made me feel very comfortable. LOVE. I am a very picky nail girl - I watch the whole process and won't go back if one thing goes wrong. I expect them to get the shape right and treat me well. I expect them to use clean instruments and have up to date products. I expect them to take their time even when busy. Tiffany Nails does all of these things and even though they are a little pricey *especially for a grad student* I would go out of my way to go back. I wish I still lived in New Jersey because I haven't found a place in PA that I love so much. If you go, you can pay on a card but you need cash for tips. This was the worst mani pedi of my entire life! the place is dirty and the older asian woman who wears the gloves constantly is the worst! how on earth do they think a pedicure is going to feel good when some1 is wearing latex gloves?! they didnt even soak my hands in warm water for the manicure. I tried this nail salon based off of a recommendation. I am very satisfied with my service after being unhappy with 3 different salons in Boonton. They were so welcoming! My first visit I showed the tech (who was also the owner) a picture of what I wanted and got something very close to it. As a newcomer to Boonton I did some research & read reviews before arriving here yesterday. I needed a place that could accommodate my friend & I for pedicures at the same time. The salon is spacious, clean & well-staffed. As a massage therapist & former salon employee I am very much aware of spa pedicure protocol. At this nail salon it is standard practice to charge $10. Extra to have callouses removed. This surprised me but hey who was I to complain as my friend needed that service...so I happily agreed. But guess what! They charge extra for a standard service but don't give the standard moisturizing foot soak to facilitate a very important step in the process to soothing & softening the feet. We were both offered a scent to add to the water but why? In the end, imp steps were skipped & the pressure needed to smooth rough edges was non-existent. Also, I had to ask that they smooth the surface of my toenails with buffer. Really?!? Ps my toenails needed nothing but that step & they couldn't be bothered. I gave them 3 stars because they accommodated us on the spot. I will go to my other recommended Boonton nail salon next time. read more
