Then he'll ask you to step outside that comfort zone. No two workouts are ever the same, and in the summer he'll even take the workouts outside. He uses a lot of body weight training with TRX straps, but also kettlebells, medicine ball, bosu ball and yoga. His new indo board this summer added a whole new level of difficulty to familiar exercises. I've been working with Adam for a year and a half. When I started, I had just lost 100 pounds on my own and knew it was time to do something other than yoga and running, but had no idea where to start. Training with Adam has given me a strong body, great looking arms, and so much more. It's given me confidence in my body's ability to try activities I couldn't have dreamed of before - stand up paddleboard, hiking, water skiing, and yoga teacher training. Whether you're a fierce competitor, a fitness newbie like I was, or somewhere in between, Adam will take you to your edge and help you reach your fitness goals.

On a typical training day, Adam predominantly utilizes TRX, but is never afraid of going outside the box (i.e. yoga, Pilates, mat work, etc.) He tailors each session to best fit the needs of the individual, so you will get a truly unique experience each time. Adam has a greater understanding of injuries than most trainers and is subsequently, quite adept at working with individuals who suffer from them. He has a plethora of alternative exercises to utilize when working around or strengthening the weaker spots. One of the things that I enjoy most about training with Adam is that he is a wonderful teacher. Due to his eclectic and extensive fitness background, he has so much experience to share with clients, and does so in an articulate and relatable way. Adam is also very patient. He takes his time with clients and never shies away from going the extra mile. If you or someone you know is looking for an incomparable experience with the best trainer in the capital region, call Adam Howard.

When asking about any issue, you're told to speak to management. Where are they? Not in their office or helping their staff. They're in the gym working out with headphones in. Avoiding work, avoiding staff requests, avoiding customer relations. And if you do manage to get the chance of an interaction, they are rude & dismissive. This facility could be nice, but it's being run into the dirt. You're better off looking elsewhere.

That's because membership is free for those with CDPHP Medicare plans. It's an awesome arrangement for the elderly who seem to enjoy working out early in the morning. When I arrive, I often pass elderly couples in their 70s or 80s as they're leaving the gym. Most appear to be in remarkable shape. I joined several months ago. The staff at the front desk was so helpful in getting me registered. So far, I've enjoyed the classes. The instructors are great. Some, especially Zumba, are very well attended. I haven't used the swimming pool yet though it looks inviting. I have used the track upstairs. There's a runners' etiquette policy posted to the wall which unfortunately some members and employees don't adhere to.. They're advised to walk or run in single file. Sometimes, they come with friends and walk side-by-side. It's annoying to have to dodge them, but I manage to out run them. Overall, the facilities are nice and so are the people who use them.
