Ok we went in and my son had just woken up from a nap. We got one lady that was less than friendly. My son was having his typical meltdown and she didn't even try. So annoying! We drove and planned our day around this. Normally the ladies we have seen the past three times would at least try to talk to him, calm him down, and get some stuff done but nope! We brought our autistic 10 year old for a back to school haircut- he usually hates to have his hair even touched, but we thought we would try a salon rather than us trying at home with clippers. Immediately we felt so welcome which put us at ease. Our kiddo hopped up in a "boat" chair and Shemy talked and got to know him. She let him touch the scissors and took her time. He trusted her right away! Shemy was amazing- she spent probably 45 minutes on him, making sure he got a top knotch cut. When it was over, he looked at himself in the mirror and was so proud! We didn't get a name but we had a haircut with a very patient lady. My toddler was not having any of it and she was still trying her hardest to give my toddler the best haircut possible. There's many options on what they can sit in (cars, plane, etc) and they have TVs and toys to distract them with. This place doesn't take reservations, at least that's what they told me when I called them to make a reservation. So I went there and only waited about 10 minutes. The place is cute and decorated for kids. The elder lady that cut my daughters hair was nice and friendly. We asked for bangs and a trim in the back for a 6 year old. Bill came out to $50 after a $10 tip so $40 for a kids haircut. I mean the place is adorable and I was watching the other hair stylists cut other kids hair. There was one kid that was crying and the hair stylist was calm about it and did her best to soothe him. Overall this is a great place for a kid but for the price I'm unwilling to come back just for a trim. Minh is awesome at what she does! We brought my almost one year old in for his first haircut and I was definitely concerned he would lose his mind. Minh was super patient and interactive with him so he would feel as comfortable as possible (given the situation). She even sang to him and talked to him the whole time. Took my son to get a hair cut at Fun Kuts. The people were nice and managed to keep the kids relaxed during the haircuts. I personally found their prices to be acceptable. However, my son did not get the haircut we asked the stylist to do. He got a very basic haircut that looked more like a mushroom cut. It was not good and we had another stylist fix it later. If you're looking for a cheaper haircut without frills, this place works in a pinch. If you're doing wedding photos, probably look elsewhere. read more

I took a very "willful" toddler into this location yesterday & she did awesome! My son hates when hair touches his skin, we have been working with him at home but we delay cuts as much as possible. We snuck in early Saturday morning & didn't have a long wait. Our hairdresser let us pick out our area, but each space was cleaned & appeared Ready for use. She did great with my son, even when he began screaming, she encouraged him (& me) throughout. She was quick but efficient & made sure to be extra safe around his little ears. I loved how she followed my direction & we got into a nice rhythm to make things easier. He looks super handsome & we're excited to come back! Long story short: nice people but not very clean (hair all over the stylists hair cutting kit) and they didn't give my daughter the cut she requested AT ALL. She wanted a pixie cut (we also brought a photo) and what she got was a little boy's long cut, essential the "Beiber"... she likes it fine because she's 4 and with a clip it still looks cute, but the cut she got was not even close to what we asked for. She's been called a boy over and over for the last few months and that was upsetting for her because she very much identifies as a girl, in spite of being a tomboy in style. They over-layered the top to the point that it has taken her 3 months to grow it out, then get it trimmed, then grow it out again just to get it close to looking feminine (I don't care, but she wanted it longer in the front, short in the back) - thankfully we found a great stylist who knows how to do shape and layering as requested. We will NOT return since they cannot give the cut we asked for. I'm sure they're fine for a regular trim. read more

It was our 16 month old's first hair cut and it could not have been better! They have a fun atmosphere with a lot of different chairs for the kids to sit in. We were in the Thomas the Tank Engine and it was very sturdy with a good seatbelt. Ms. Doris did her hair and did a great job! She put a little ribbon in and used a curling dryer to give her hair some bounce. She had already done a great job but these little touches were above and beyond. I have a rambunctious 2 year old boy and Minh was very kind and prepped him with toys and showed him the clippers and let him play with them first. Once he started acting crazy she was patient and even let him play while she finished his line up. Plenty of toys, probably not cleaned often so make sure to bring hand sanitizer for after lol Update: still love coming here. I have two boys now 4 & 2. All the staff are always friendly and patient. This was our second time here. The first time was great. They had a lot going on yet it wasn't overwhelming. I just kept picturing a mad house toys everywhere. That was not the experience for us yes they have toys but it's kind of some what organized considering the atmosphere. The ladies were all nice. First and last time here. We did a walk in and the person that did my sons haircut was an older lady. I believe her name is Doris. We showed her a picture and explained what we wanted. As she was cutting his hair, we told her that it didn't look right she still continues to cut his hair. She wanted to keep going but we stopped her just because she did not care about what we wanted. She was also really rough with my son even while he was crying. I'm not sure how the other employees are but she's horrible. I would not recommend her to anyone. read more

I've gone here a few times. Mostly because my son is very sensitive to clippers. This is the second time that they rush his hair or don't wanna deal with him. After a traumatic first haircut for my son (elsewhere), I really didn't want to get his hair professionally cut anymore. I wanted to be able to just trim it myself!! But it grows so crazy and fast that I had to research another place to get his hair cut. Wow, this place was AWESOME! Such a better experience than his last one. The inside is really cute. Spacious! They have a playroom (the toys could probably be cleaner but..whatever) and tons of chairs for the kids! My son sat in the boat chair and he actually was pretending to drive it! Really cute His hairdresser was named Kim and she was so great. Patient and careful and calming and fast! His whole hair cut took about ten minutes and he cried for about five of those minutes but she was very professional and comforting. She definitely knows what she's doing. He was pushing her away, screaming, shaking his head, and she remained focused and did a great job. They even turned a tv show on for him but he was too stressed out to look. I asked her to leave the top pretty long and shave the sides a lot (his hair grows sooo fast!!) and she kept checking with me throughout the haircut to make sure she was meeting my expectations. I'll attach a pic of the final product, as it is adorable!!! I think it's really the sound of the clippers that gets my son because he did relatively well when she was just touching up things with scissors. Pricing was $21 + tip which although it seems expensive, it's actually very normal and it was definitely worth it. They gave us a haircut punch card that I'll be using to save $10 off a haircut in the future. And I just think next time I will try and take him in before it gets way too long so that he spends even less time crying!! Such a better experience. I would recommend this place as a very nice, clean, helpful, comforting experience. The staff is awesome and they're organized and clean. Sure the price seems like a lot for what it is but they are priced just the same as any kid haircut place. Yes, he had hair on his face and yes behind his ears was red and irritated but those are common, and are simple fixes. First time going. I have a 5 yr (boy) & 3yr old (girl- fist pro haircut). THE GOOD: 1) lots of entertainment for waiting kids, esp if you have multiple kids 2) they give the kids bins in their lap while they get a haircut 3) visually & tactilely stimulating-- they even have stuff decorating the ceilings 4) first come first serve; get there early. 5) child appropriate sized hair washing station for little girls 6) kids get snacks too (incase you are trapped there longer than anticipated & your kids start a food melt down) THE BAD: 1) like any kid focused place, I am always concerned about the sanitary situation with community toys. The hair stylist said that they clean daily...but there are a lot of kids that come in there every minute of the day. I know...I know... I know... its like any daycare...kids are just beautiful living petri dishes of parental infection. 2) $$ price. For two kids, it was nearly $60. You clearly pay for the kid friendly set up. THE MEH: Your kid experience is highly dependent on the stylist. My son is well versed in barbershops, and he was easy for the stylist (spritz, cut, clean), took~ 15min. My daughter was a bit different, it was her first time & her stylist was AMAZING!!!! She clearly loves playing with little girls hair & into giving my daughter this cool "spa" experience...so it was positive.... but her process was ~ 4 times the length my sons was... she got her hair washed, cut, blown out, styled with a bow. This is not bad--- but brings to light IRL that your experience is stylist dependent.... THE VERDICT: Absolutely would go again... if I bring my daughter, I will make sure I have 45minutes for her pamper session. As for my son, I am good with either--- he likes the place for the toys... but for me, I am happy going to supercuts as well so that it saves me $, closer to my house & checks one last thing off my list of life long errands. read more

Had a good experience here. Cute set up first of all. Doris was our hairdresser for my almost 3 year old girl. (Which btw is 2 dollars more sorta weird, but whatever.) She interacted well with her, asking questions getting her comfortable. She also talked to me and explained how to get rid of the flaky skin on her scalp with a comb and little bit of oil. I also bought there kids shampoo which is suppose to help, we'll see. They both got treats after too; suckers and cookies. Would recommend this place and come back. read more

It's a really nice place to go for small children/toddlers. I love that they are walk ins only. My 3 year old was very anxious about getting a hair cut, but our stylist was very patient with him. It took him at least 15-20 minutes to calm down and she was not frustrated with him at all. He finally got the hair cut while sitting in my lap and it turned out great. Baby's First Hair Cut! My son was not loving the trimmer and started to panic and cry. Our stylist put on the hustle and got that hair done so cute all while reassuring our little guy! The place was spotless. The toys are well used, but honestly the kids are there for just a few minutes. I think the other comments where people are talking trash about the cleanliness of the toy box should realize their child will suck on dirty rocks if given the chance. Then, while one woman was paying she and the stylist (an older woman with grey hair) began discussing how Covid isn't real and that it's all a scheme by pharmaceutical companies to sell more products. Another Wan said she knew two people personally who have died from Covid and the stylist and patron agreed that the person probably dies of something else and it was labeled as Covid. "It's just whooping cough" the stylist said. I chose to cancel our cut. I cannot give money to people who are anti-science in the middle of a global pandemic. I hope you don't either. read more

Decent hair cut for my sons first hair cut. Which is the reason for the two stars they got but the reason 3 are missing is because when I first walked in I wasn't greeted and I had to stop the old lady with grey hair from walking away to ask her how long the wait would be, she pretty much told me to figure it out by looking at the sign in list. Anyways I decided to wait because they had toys in there for kids to play with so I knew my son would be happy while waiting so that's actually another reason they actually got another star. Then my son went up to a cubby with "well loved" hard books not paper books but the hard ones and my son is 1 years old he was accidentally stepping one and grabbing another and the old lady comes up behind me grabs my son picks him up off the book sets him aside takes the books from him and puts them up. First of all do not pick up a child that is not yours this is not a daycare, second of all if you don't want toddlers playing with books (that already look destroyed) don't put them at toddler reach in a play area.... third I was going to get him off the book but instead you took it upon yourself to be my child's parent first. So I go tell my husband what just happened and then she calls my sons name and we stand up and then she continues doing stuff at the front desk not saying anything to us and then finally walks over to us and walks us to the chair. This is where she gets even worse. My son he's a boy anyone who has a toddler especially a boy knows they're clumsy and dare devils and constantly getting cuts and bruises. He had two little very minor cuts on his head and she goes "do you have cats or dogs he has cuts on his head" first of all that's none of your fucking business and rude to assume.... my husband jokes and says he's still getting use to his feet and walking lol but she took it too seriously and says it because we have the wrong shoes on him that we are going to mess up the way he walks. My son started walking at 11 months old he's now 17 months old to be specific and he doesn't need any special shoes he knows how to walk and run and not that it's any of her business but he got those little scrapes bare foot inside the house playing. So if you want "parenting advice" and someone telling you what you're doing wrong go here.... also for a first time hair cut for a 1 year old you'd think they'd take their time so the child doesn't get scared and actually try to distract them and make them happy especially being they charge $20 for the same hair cut my husband gets for $10. She did it so fast and not even making sure she was doing good and kept talking to us the whole time and not paying attention to my son so I was trying to keep him calm while she was squeezing his head which was freaking him out more. read more

This was my first time taking my girls here and to be honest it will be absolutely the last time I will Not give this place any business.. What was supposed to be a fun day turned into a horrible one due to Dorris.. She is shady as hell when it came to the payment. I can understand charging extra for my one who has long hair but the comments she made was outrageous not to mention I asked her to take 1/2 inch to a inch off.. When I looked at the floor there was no hair. She told me its because it was thin.. This child has dark hair. So not only did she not cut her hair, I was chargedc30 bucks for the supposed cut. Then she had also changed the price on the other 2 girls hair cut cause she said one had thick hair and the other was long..the others hair isnt even to the middle of her back. But again I was charged extra for all 3 girls. Plus extra for the 2 that got braids. She also tried saying my little boy had his haircut there which he absolutely did not.. His hair was done someplace else by someone I trust.. Dorris also made the comment to me when she was brushing the hair of the 3rd one that the haircuts were easier to do on boys.. I think she was upset because she was asked to do the braid in my girls hair instead of doing a cut on a little boy.. She also never blow dried the 3rd childs hair because that takes to much time.. Although the other 2 girls had it done to them. I was planning on paying for the girls to have a special day so its not to much about the money in a way.. Its about the all of a sudden adding more money and talking to me the way she did.. She made my little feel bad for having her hair done. I am extremely upset over paying 30 bucks for a haircut that never happened. I asked for the owners name and number only to be given an 800 number that no one picks up.. I am so freakin mad over all this. I want the money back for the 1 cut that never happened..I also think she needs to appologize to my 5 yr old that she treated like crap.. Beware!!! I've been coming to this place the last few times for my daughters. Today is the last time I will be coming here. My daughter got her haircut by Doris. She's seen her before, but this time at checkout she tells me her haircut will be an additional $14 for having "long hair." Before the haircut, my daughters hair length was a little below the shoulders. She got 2 inches cut off and Doris insisted she had long hair and there will be an upcharge of $14. How is charging an extra $14 on top of the $26 base haircut price even reasonable. She definitely is just trying to charge extra and make an excuse of my daughter having "long hair." I've never heard of hair right below shoulder length being considered "long hair" and cutting two inches off should cost extra. Absolutely ridiculous and unheard of. If Doris was planning on charging this extra amount, she should've let me know beforehand. I confirmed with another stylist my daughters haircut price will be $26 because we've had price issues before. The lady at the front desk said yes to $26. I confronted the lady who confirmed the $26 price, but she denied saying it. None of the workers here seem to be honest. I believe Doris pockets the extra money that she is charging customers.
