Joy is a kind woman and a great stylist. I recently shaved my head and needed a maintenance cut. It is very difficult to find someone who works well with woman short textured hair. That is until a friend of mine recommended I see Joy. I walked in to her salon and asked if she could fit me in? Yes she said which was such a special treat as I wanted t done immediately. Very pleased with my feminine faded haircut. I will get a photo and add it read more

Joy is a Bible thumper and extremely rude to customers who don't share her point of view on religion. I had been there once before and managed to side-step the whole God thing. I went a second time, and she brought up her overbearing Christianity. On this visit, she started quoting the Bible. I told her I was Jewish. (I'm not, but wanted her to stop.) She looked at me distainfully and said "Jesus is coming for you". Will never go back read more

Joy is the best , she takes so much pride in her work , if you ask her she says she loves what she does. Such a peaceful atmosphere to be in , she's great with kids and she's genuinely a good person. Can't see how anyone could give her a bad review , I've had barbers before but joy cuts is quality and at only 20 $ a hair cut in today's economy your not overpaying ! Helps a lot if you call in for an appointment . read more

She is one of the only two barbers I trust. Just the kindest person with a pure heart. Always nice and I always look forward to getting my hair cut by her. read more

Beyond expectations. This is the first time in the 21 years of my life, that I've been able to find some one to cut my hair and make me feel even more prettier than when I walked in. She greeted me the second I walked in and she communicated with me throughout the entire haircut. I WILL BE BACK Thank you for the beautiful experience. read more

Absolutely amazing little place. My husband used to pay an obscene amount of money for a haircut every few weeks and would come home unhappy with the results. One day on a Sunday, my husband needed a haircut as soon as possible and all of the more "popular" barbers were closed so I went on yelp as I always do and found this place. Not only did this sweet woman give my husband a haircut that was exactly as he envisioned, she also was able to cut my 5 year olds hair as well with no stress involved! Most places will not give a small child a haircut because "they won't hold still" not her. He did by the way... because she was actually NICE to him. My boys came home happy and looking handsome. And best of all it did not break the bank! This was over a year ago, and they've been going to her ever since. Absolutely can't recommend this place enough. read more

I think I've found my stylist. I haven't had my hair cut since a butchering at supercuts (I know...I know) about 6 months ago. When I brought my daughter here in February I knew I wanted to come back for myself! Joy made me feel like a thousand bucks before she even put hands on my hair. I've had a rough week, and within minutes she had me genuinely smiling and laughing. She listened very carefully to what I wanted to do with my hair, she made a couple of suggestions, and then spent the next 40 minutes pampering and taming my out-of-control hair and lifting my spirits. You guys. You HAVE to get your hair cut here. read more

Joy is the kindest, most friendly hairdresser I've ever had. Her haircuts are excellent, but affordable. She's a good listener and so funny. In the background, she plays the most amazing, diverse music from classical to pop to bluegrass to old jazz. She's good with men's cuts, short hair, curly hair, wavy hair...everything. I went out to a big fancy special event, and she cut my hair into the most glamorous yet simple style. I've watched her pamper sweet elderly ladies, do fades and quickly buzz through military haircuts. She's great for the whole family! It's a clean, pretty, cute little salon that won't break your bank. read more

The first time I came to Joy Cuts my son & I got both got a haircut. She was really gentle & understanding of the fact that my son isn't too fond of cuts. The first visit entailed a lot of conversations about Jesus (which is totally respectable) but it became a little pushy towards the end resulting in me leaving with a referral to her church. I returned back a second time today because the prices are fair for the work she does. However, I think it may be the last visit because she was still heavily pushing her Christianity on me. It was to the point where it started getting uncomfortable and I was just coming in to get a haircut. Joy is a wonderful person I am sure-- but I just don't understand the correlation between if my husband likes long hair then I shouldn't cut it too short because the Bible says I am to obey my husband? I I told her it's my body not my husband's. At that point, I had paid & left a tip & she proceeded to read me a bible verse as I was walking out the door. read more

Her name is Joy and what a joy she was! I saw her treat the three previous customers before me with the most excellent service on a Sunday after church. She cut their hair just the way they wanted it, and especially one of the guy customers who wanted so many different things.. Great prices, she can do a lot of different cuts, and very quick. I know where to go next time! read more

The best place for me and my sons haircut. Scheduling the appointment is so easy, nice atmosphere.

I called to make an appointment after reading raving reviews and got in the same day! Joy is the best! She is polite, listens, and knows kids! My son is 11: difficult and particular about his hair. She cut it to his (and my) perfection in lightening speed and charged $14 for a child's cut. A+! We'll be back again!! read more

Joy Cuts was recommended to me and I'm so happy that I came in with my mom to get our hair cuts! Joy is friendly sweet caring and listens to what you're looking for in a haircut. Between what my mom and I wanted, Joy nailed it! Reasonable prices and she sings so that was a treat. She has the magic touch, literally - I was dosing off when her cutting and washing my hair. I recommend. :) read more

Joy is my husbands go-to place to get his haircut! He's in the army so he needs to get a specific haircut done. Joy does a fantastic job ALL THE TIME. Super friendly and super clean! Always cleans up after finishing with a customer, before going to her next client. Joy cares so much about her customers and does her very best to remember names! I've been going to her too for haircuts and color! Joy uses organic coloring so my hair NEVER feels damaged after. Very reasonable pricing too. And pretty quick. PS: Joy has a secret stash of candy/chocolate (: hehehe. And not those cheap chocolates. I'm talking about Ghirardelli and Lindy Lindor Truffles! read more

Joy is such a pleasant lady! Always a good conversation with her. And she will cut your hair exactly how you like it so you should never be disappointed when you leave. Happy customer since 2019 and will keep going back! Joy to the world. Haircut got me feeling good about life. :-) read more

I like this place a-lot its clean, the lady here is nice. She cuts hair very nice and give good price for adults and kids.

Joy gave me the best haircut I've had in years, and she didn't kick me out when I started singing Johnny Cash songs. Seriously, if she had made me look any younger, I'd be an egg in my mum's ovary. In addition to taking the time to make me look stylish, Joy was so gentle I could barely feel the touch of her scissors or clippers. To me, that speaks volumes about how much she cares. read more

She's pretty cool. She works hard for what she does but I'm glad I stumbled upon this place because being a Marine, a lot of barbers can't cut my hair right. She doesn't charge an arm and a leg for cutting my hair as simple as it is. read more

My gf and I both got our cuts here. Also, trims and bangs are less expensive. The salonests are really cool with good personality and performance. read more

Joy is seriously my favorite person to go to whether it be for a trim or my eyebrows waxed. She knows how to connect with her customers in a way that makes them want to come back, even just to say hello. The atmosphere is laid back and calming. If you are in need of a quick trim, a haircut, or facial waxing, you are missing out on meeting a very sweet person who genuinely cares about her work and her customers. read more

I dropped in around 1230pm on a Sunday and was the only customer when I got there. Joy was high energy, friendly, and good at her job. (She's been cutting hair for over 12 years). The green/white paint scheme along with the plants gave the place a nice feel. I didn't need a full haircut just a trim/thinning and Joy was happy to help. I would return for another trim or haircut. Only reason for four stars and isn't directly controlled by the business...panhandling by some drunk fella when I left which was annoying read more

I absolutely love this lady! Been coming to her for over a year! She always makes my friend and I look absolutely beautiful. I recommend her to everybody I know or everybody who says they're getting a haircut. She is the sweetest lady ever she has coffee and tea and cookies and candies. And the place Feels Like Home and she always has nice relaxing music playing. read more

I love her shop! She is awesome, my son has never sat still getting his hair cut and I was so impressed how she was with him. He sat through his hair cut with no issues what so ever, made him comfortable. And before she cut my hair she explained what she was going to do and why, which is awesome.. people usually cut away. Definitely going back! read more

Husband and the boys always come here every two months to get their cuts. Joy and the boys seem to know their cuts very well. She is careful with them since they are just 2 and 4 and do so well with them. read more

I have been getting my haircut by Joy every 6-8 weeks for the last year or so prior to that I had been going downtown to a place that serves beer and charges twice as much. Her store is more modest, less douchey but she's really sweet and kind a does a great job at a really fair price. I would definitely recommend Joy for guys who want a cut that isn't a crew cut and don't want to get gouged by a trendy shop. read more

Joy was welcoming, friendly, and made my hair look great! I was a first-time customer but she listened to me, figured out what my hair needed, and gave me the cut I asked her for. Her price was reasonable. The atmosphere is good, too. Joy and I had a really interesting, wide-ranging conversation, but also sometimes just listened to the music in her cheerful shop. This seems to be a place where anyone can feel comfortable getting his/her hair cut, regardless of age or walk of life. read more

My stepmom and I dropped in for a haircut today without an appt. We were early so we got right in. We're new in town and very picky but had to go somewhere. Joy gave us both excellent cuts that we're both very happy with. She takes the time to do a good job, making sure the cut is a good look for you. She's very upbeat and pleasant, what a joy! (Pun intended). We'll both be going back. read more

She's fun and always makes time for me even when I just walk through the door without an appointment. I love her music, she plays anything the good ole oldies and country. She does a good job and takes time to listen to what you want. Always offers cookies, tea, water or coffee. Her prices are very reasonable. Open 7 days a week too! read more
