I got my perm done for the New Year. It was everything I was looking for! Tina did a phenomenal job with explaining the process and how to maintain it! I've had a few haircuts with Gina, Kinzi, and Amanda all amazing hairstylists! If you want a world-class experience, Tezé Salon is where to go! I love the ambience and the vibes also! The front desk is very welcoming and can't wait to get my follow up soon! I would highly recommend my mom and family here! read more

I found my "Holy Grail" salon and stylist, Amanda at the Teze Salon in Puyallup, WA. If you are in the prosses stage of turning grey, and want more dimension without the awful dark roots, "Grey Blending" is the ticket. If you want someone who is talented and understands what this technique is, you can stop looking now. I have done the research and spent the money for you, so you don't have to. My journey to get to Amanda started here. I have been rehoused to the Seattle area since we lost our home in the Malibu wildfires in 2018. As a result of cleaning out our condo, two months later, my husband and I were both diagnosed with cancer within three weeks of each other. Beginning a very long year of treatment, I had my head shaved. It grew in an ugly mousey grey. I named the color, "Rat Bitch Grey". I began the long search for a stylist who was knowledgeable, specifically in "Grey Blending". Grey blending is a hair coloring "weaving" technique that incorporates some of your existing grey, and adding low and highlight colors, creating a more a more seamless transition to a natural silver look, without the heavy lines of demarcations at the roots of your hair. What I found was that many stylists call grey blending a "color correction" and it's common for stylists to charge an hourly or daily rate for this service. It's not a color correction really. I have had years of using high and lowlights on my blond hair and not charged for a color correction. Color correction means they don't have training experience in grey blending. With so much of the population turning grey, hair stylists will be doing lots of grey blending in the future. Don't be fooled. Then I discovered, Amanda, a stylist at the Teze Salon in Puyallup, WA. I found her on Instagram and wrote to her about my dilemma. Not only did she nail the haircut I wanted, but she also created a stunning, personally unique color and cut, that parallels the services I had as a client at the Sally Hershberger salon in L.A. and NYC, or the three salons in Downtown Seattle that I went to. They all falsely advertised "grey blending services " in their menus too. All BS imho. We are now living seasonally both in Malibu and Seattle, and I seriously might fly back for a few days to get my hair done by Amanda t the Teze again. With my health struggles abating, I want to celebrate by looking great. Because for me, when my hair looks good, I feel better. I will post pictures later. read more

So glad to have a great dependable place with wonderful stylists. I've been coming here for years and after today's visit, thought I'd give them some props as they are exceptional at their craft and super friendly and accommodating. I usually see Kenzie who I just adore as she understands every time exactly what I'm looking for. This week though, last min, I needed a quick hair pick me up before an upcoming wedding and she was booked. Just some mini blonding highlights to blend my gray growing in. The front desk got me an appointment with Amanda only four days out which was fab. I ended up just adoring her. She really listened, was reasonably priced with my explained budget, and understood exactly what I wanted. Additionally, she understood my nightmare experience from a previous salon years ago (my hair became like stretchy plastic, breaking off from being over proceeded with the bleach for too long and took me years to grow out) and assured me I would have a great outcome with the lifting. Since she had never worked with my hair before, that was a concern as I'm hoping to never have a bad bleaching experience again. Amanda was super attentive and really heard me. She checked on me often and even made sure I was comfortable at the sink. She also does hair extensions as well which we discussed in detail as I told her I had been looking for someone but wasn't sure where to start. She had lots of great info for me. Overall, a wonderful visit with a sweet and genuine person. Hair turned out amazing by the way and just what I asked for. It was serendipity getting in with her. Highly recommend Amanda and Kenzie!! read more

Gina is the best! I am an older female (74) and she cut and styled my hair so it looks great and easy to maintain.

Had the best experience with Gina for a haircut. I really felt like she listened to what I was wanting during our consultation and really executed the cut perfectly. 10/10 front desk service and the salon felt so welcoming and high end. read more

Been going to Teze for a few years. My regular stylist left, rescheduled with another stylist. By the time my appointment came around, that stylist had left. Next time in, the entire staff had changed, as had product offerings. So, the product I use was no longer available at the salon. Went I. For a cut and color at 10am. 10:15am, no stylist, no update. Finally left at 10:20aam. Obviously won't be going back. read more

Bianca was amazing ‼. She did a great job cutting my hair and she was so sweet and friendly. I'll definitely request her next time

Been going to this salon and was happy until they called and canceled my appointment because the hairdresser called out. Then in my way to the rescheduled appointment i called and said I'd be a couple minutes late and they said no problem. Not five minutes they call me back and said I was canceled because I was past my grace period, I said wait a minute you just told me okay and not to worry. I tipped the gal when she did my hair fifty bucks. I'm done with TEZE Salon. read more

I came in for a wash and braid. The girl I had was amazing. She did such a good job. They also sell orbe products which is a huge bonus

I started going here 7 months ago and love it! My specific specialist is Eli and I couldn't be happier. I have long thick hair and each time he makes it look so much better. Then I took the plunger and decided on some color and all I can say is wow!!! I've had numerous compliments within 24 hours. Besides Eli I love the professionalism yet familiarity when you walk in. They serve coffee, wine and water while you are getting your services. Each person I've encountered has been very kind. read more

I've come here a few times and everytime it progressively got worst. Recently I got my hair done at another salon and finally realized it's not me and this is how it should of been to start with. I came in to get my roots touched up and just all over color to just match. The stylist was clearly very fresh which is ok I figured it was an easy job. It took her half hour to figure out how to get started and needed a supervisor to come tell her it's just black hair all over. I really wanted to give her a chance. At checkout they told me my total was $400 which seems insanely expensive for just all over color, easy color, black. And her prices were of stylists who have been in the industry for ages. But the worst part was when I looked in the mirror this is what I was left with, my entire face outline and my ears (in and out) had been stained with hair color and it wouldn't wash off for days. She put so much product on my hair that it felt like straw, it was the most disgusting texture possible, I came home and washed my hair immediately, That's not something I should of done fresh from the salon. Two weeks after getting my hair done my roots were back to grey and showing. I truly don't understand how you have the nerve to charge as much as you do for such a mediocre job. read more

I have had some bad experiences with other salon stylists so I was hesitant to even try again but I'm so relieved and happy that I came to Tezé Salon and that they paired me with Jenny. She listened to what I wanted in a haircut and color and gave me her opinion which I appreciate and asked for. She took the time to explain everything she was doing from start to finish and didn't rush through any of the process from color to cut. I would recommend Jenny to anyone. She knows what she's doing and genuinely cares that you get what you want. The people at the front desk were also very helpful and made sure I was taken care of as soon as I entered the salon. I so appreciate that my confidence in stylists was returned...at least with Jenny. read more

Have been here 3 times. First experience was great. I was impressed with the salon and staff. Great haircut. Subsequent times I felt like they were rushing and not interested in cutting hair. Appointment time was for 45 minutes. Wash and haircut were done in less than 25 minutes. Far from a stellar job. I asked to have 2-3 inches cut off and some layers added. She cut about 1/2 inch and the layering was not obvious. It was apparent my hair dresser had more important things to do than cut hair. She kept leaving and coming back while I was sitting in the chair. Too many hair salons to choose from. Will definitely look for a new one that is interested in quality not quantity. read more

Came in for a simple men's cut. When I saw the way she was holding the trimmer I realized that I was going to be in for a rough ride. Long story short she didn't know how to blend, proportions were off, and overall seemed like she was forced to be there with zero experience. Had to ask for a couple of revisions and then gave up and left. Oh and then they charged me $60 for that. Ended up going to my original salon a couple weeks later and got an amazing cut, wash and head massage for $20. read more

So I had the best experience EVER at Teze Salon! The environment has such good vibes and they have a genuinely great team! I reached out to the wonderful Brooke on her IG : locks.by.goldie because I loved her transforming hair posts and I was looking for a total transformation myself. She communicated with me throughout everything, and made me feel so comfortable. 10/10 would recommend her and Eli, who helped her foil my ridiculously thick hair! I was there all day (I went from black box dye to red!) and they made it so much fun, that it seriously didn't feel like I was there for that long at all. Beautiful results and I can't wait to come back! read more

I haven't been to a hair salon in a very very long time. My hair was finally long and but it was unhealthy and dying slowly. I made my appointment online and I was so happy to see they could fit me in there schedule so quickly! I am the type of person that cancels because of nerves or anxiety so the next day appointment made it super easy to get over my fear of losing my hair. I booked with Eli, from the research I did I think the haircut I was going for would be most achievable by him...so glad I made that choice! Eli was so wonderful from the first time we met. I thought I would be judged for my neglect to my hair but he help me so much! I honestly didn't know they wash your hair before they cut it and they also style it for you! literally felt like I was in heaven getting my hair washed haha anyways Eli talked to me about my hair and what he recommended for a long term result. Honestly I am very clueless about what to do with my hair so I was glad he was able to diagnose it and educate me. Even though I didn't want a short hair cut I settled due to my dead ends and the results were so amazing I couldn't be happier! I Overall experience was fantastic the vibe was non judgemental and very soothing. I felt like I was in the right hands. He did tell me that they have professional fly in from everywhere to teach them new and upcoming hairstyles and techniques. If you don't want your hair to look ugly, go here! read more

I've gotten my hair cut twice and colored once here. I really wanted to like it because it has a good vibe and nice staff. But I think most of the stylist are either inexperienced or poor communicators. I usually show up early to appointments and almost every time I have been seen late. And not by like 15min, by almost an hour. Instead of apologizing she just blamed the front desk person for not telling her I arrived. When I got my hair colored, I explicitly stated I did not want a golden balayage and that's exactly what I got. I was obviously unhappy and instead of letting me know she could fix it she just told me to go home and sleep on it. I went home and then dyed my hair myself wasting the $200 I just spent. read more

The stylists there are awesome, especially Jenni, she heard what I like, took into everything about me, how much time I spend on my hair. Which products I like, etc. And gave me a great professional opinion. She made me so happy! The whole place was great, even the receptionists! 10 put of 5 stars! read more

Best experience I've ever had. I recommend this salon to all my family and friends. Very clean, friendly, and professional

I've been going here off and on for several years and have been mostly pleased other than one inexperienced stylist once. My last visit, appointment made on the spur of the moment, was wonderful. Miranda was friendly, professional, and skilled. I had a rather unusual problem of trying to grow out my hair but needed a trim and some style. I left there feeling more than satisfied! Highly recommend Miranda. read more

M'y appointment began with a phone call and the gal who answered was able to provide me with accurate information concerning price and stylist! The gal also recommended a deep conditioning treatment, so I went ahead with that! The stylists are rated in which I was scheduled with Eli, who was a level 3! I'm not sure how many levels there are but I assure you this doesn't matter- Eli was my stylist at a level 3 is far beyond his training and is now my go to person! Greeted with a smile and hello, I was able to feel comfortable right away as we started my deep conditioning treatment we had great conversation and connected! I showed Eli a reference photo and I am completely in love with my hair style- I scheduled a color in the coming month and I am over the moon about my new spot! Thanks Eli! read more

Went here for a simple all over color. Big mistake. Will be going to a different salon to fix what they did. They 100% blamed me of course and took no responsibility whatsoever. Sure. I've been to the Puyallup Salon twice and each time my hair is unbalanced. Won't be back.

I payed $350 for something I asked to not get!!! I showed the hair dresser exactly what I didn't want and she gave me exactly that! I didn't want an all over yellow blonde ombré I scheduled a baylage and she gave me an all over yellow toNed blonde, she was an advanced artist and fried my hair and best part of it was her and her coworker stood directly behind me sating that I better not have high expectations because my hair was way to dark to get the color I wanted! she cut my hair didn't ask how I wanted it cut she went and trimmed it for $58 when I got home I noticed it is uneven ! I asked for a half part down the middle with a money piece and she didn't even center that right! I reached out to the salon owner and heard nothing back I would definitely stay away from This shop and save your money!!!! read more

I feel absolutely fabulous! I came in to get my hair dyed & tape extensions put in with my hairdresser, Gina and everywhere I go I am turning heads and getting compliments . I got blush pink but I couldn't help but notice the collection of color they have at Teze! Every color of every shade! It was a super relaxing environment at Teze with complementary water/ coffee and they were so hospitable, professional and personable. I recently moved to Puyallup from Chicago, and have been looking for a great stylist. A cut and color (from a different salon) left me feeling a bit...hmm..traumatized. But after doing a lot of research on the top rated salons in puyallup I decided on Teze. My stylist Yocelyn transformed my lackluster, bleached balayage to a shiny, sleek caramel/brown, with "money pieces" the front sections that frame your face. She was professional, entertaining and above all else listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly. I will recommend this salon and stylist to friends. read more

TL;DR: Go here, you won't regret it. I've always been a pretty easy customer as far as getting my hair done is concerned-- if things aren't quite the way I like it I usually just shrug my shoulders and live with it (the benefits of having fast growing hair, styles are easy to correct a few weeks down the road). However, at Teze, I have never been unsatisfied. For my first appointment ever, a year ago now, I was left in the capable hands of Chelsey, and I have stuck with her since. Together we have been growing out my hair from a close cropped pompadour, and it has not been boring! Also, when we decided to start coloring, the first try didn't quite take (perhaps due to some leftover henna), they immediately schedule me for a color correction the next morning, free of charge. Each time since had been a breeze. From what I've seen over this past year, the stylists have always been welcoming, cheery, and personable whether your are a returning customer or a walk-in. And if you were curious, this is a L'Oreal salon. read more

I've been going to this salon for almost a year now with only minor hiccups in color that I easily got over. However, my most recent experience is what will keep me from attending this salon ever again. I went in for a trim and color and what I got was a disaster. First, I asked for a brighter copper, as mine was a bit lackluster. What I got is a dark maroon red (see before/after picture). Second, when getting my trim I specifically said I did NOT want layers and I ended up with a ton of them and a significant amount of facial framing - I was mortified. The stylist very willingly fixed my color the next day, which is now an okay color. However, upon lightening my hair, the cut stood out more and it looked like an elementary student cut my hair while I was sleeping (see photos)! I called to ask for a refund because at this point, I didn't want anyone touching my hair to make it worse and was told I would receive a phone call later that day to address the issue. I was contacted by the stylist I used to ask what was wrong and when I sent her a picture, there was a long pause before she replied (although a very nice person, no one could deny this atrocity of a cut). She claimed that she only cleaned up the layers I already had (which isn't true, I had no layers, especially not any indicative of facial framing). I told her that was not true and that I was given a terrible haircut. Upon voicing my opinion, she offered to have her boss fix my cut, which I reluctantly accepted - nothing at this point could make me happy because the damage had already been done. When I got to the salon, the boss was quite cold and indifferent to my concerns and told me it wasn't a bad haircut, but proceeded to spend an hour "fixing it". I don't know about you, but if it wasn't a bad haircut, I don't know why it would need to be fixed for an hour. In addition to that, she kept telling me that the cut looked great on me - which really irritated me - at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks, it's about what I feel comfortable and confident in. She said the same thing about my color when I expressed that I still was unhappy with it and it's inconsistency. Needless to say, I left with a refund for my haircut (not my color, which I spent over $200 on) and extremely unhappy. Honestly, if they just owned up to the fact that it was a bad haircut and offered to fix it and some other complimentary services (like fixing my color), I would have been fine. It's the blatant reluctance to own up that leaves a truly bitter taste in my mouth. Oh, and the fact that my hair is literally f*cked. read more

Destroyed my hair! Gave me a chemical hair cut, lost half my hair then they had the audacity to say my hair was thin already. I had to spend over $1500 to fix it, and now years to get it back to where it was!! Over priced, over processed and overly pissed! Glad I moved and glad I never have to drive by that place again. read more

The girl that did my hair was super sweet... But bad. So bad. I had pictures of the bangs I wanted. Not from a magazine or off the internet-- pictures of ME with those bangs. I had had them before and wanted them again. After just chopping off a chunk of hair at the side of my face she tried to convince me that it was my hair that was the issue, not her skills. I was there for an extra twenty minutes trying to get her to fix my bangs. It's been eight weeks and I still haven't worn my "bangs" down. I will NOT be going back. Also, the hair washing sinks were dirty. Ick. No thank you. read more

I've been going there for about six years. Normally everybody has been great, not this time. I had to have two adjustments on my foil...should have left it alone or went to a salon where they know what they are doing. After my second adjustment in two days. I "slept" on my results so that I would not be too upset when I called back for another adjustment. The owner did not even want to see what happened to my hair, instead I was told that they could not help me and needed to go somewhere else. Was asked if that's okay? NO it's not! I now have 5 colors in my hair and have gone to two different salons but nobody will fix my color because it is SO DAMAGED it could break off even more than it already did. Would recommend that you do not go to Teze salon. read more

I go to Holly. Started going to her when she was at Regis at the South Hill Mall and followed her here. She does great haircuts. I used to have medium length hair and she gave my wavy hair a good shape. About a year ago I wanted a dramatic change and she gave me a super short pixie cut and I loved it. I still am wearing it that way. I have never had color or cosmetic services done here. I do my own color from a box to save money. The reception staff are courteous and efficient. They always offer me tea or coffee when I check in for my appointment. I have green tea. Sometimes Holly is running a bit behind, but I relax with my tea.
