Came here for a wax service with Chelsey and it was such a great experience. When you enter the building, check in is right at the entrance and there is a little sitting area past that. This was my first time coming to Salon Escape and Chelsey had a little welcome gift along with a little stress ball to use if needed throughout the service. She was friendly and asked questions to know my experience with waxing. She checked in on me to see how I was doing, made sure the temperature of the wax was okay, and we had a great conversation throughout the service. Highly recommend Chelsey. read more

I decided to splurge and spend a little more money on my hair color and made an appointment at Salon Escape. The salon has an amazing website and they have been around a long time! My review has nothing negative to say about the young lady who did my hair...but...had I known beforehand she was only 20 years old I would've never booked this appointment...just not enough experience for my hair color issue. Salon Escape recently moved to a new location. The lighting was ridiculously dark. I was charged tax on the product used for the service ...and there was a "surcharge"! Wasn't expecting that! Now I need a color correction...however I won't going back to Salon Escape. I'm very disappointed. read more

Jess has been doing my hair for over a year now, and she is consistently amazing. I got a balayage and I absolutely love it. As my hair has been graying, I wanted something that would brighten it up without leaving me with harsh roots to maintain every few weeks, and this was the perfect solution. My hair is also thinning but the cut she gives me adds so much natural-looking volume. I highly recommend Jess at Salon Escape! read more

Listen, I'm picky about my hair. Been to many hairdressers in my this area. But Jess? She actually LISTENED when I said I like my natural curls/waves, don't want it straight. And her vibe is unmatched. Felt like hanging with a friend who happens to be a hair wizard. Five stars. read more

Updating my review since my first appointment (consultation). Salon Escape reached out to me shortly after my first review and I honestly did not expect it let alone a reply to my first review. They were very helpful and understanding and assured me that they will "make it right." And by doing so they have and much more! They not only made me felt important and seen, but they took care of my hair service! Who does that!? I do have to mention that I've worked in customer service settings for years and I really do believe having great customer service is crucial for any business. With that being said Salon Escape has exceeded that expectation and experience for me! Everyone that I've encountered especially my hairstylist gave me exceptional service. Always going above and beyond for their clients. Now onto my hair...I am amazed! I absolutely love the outcome of my hair color, cut and service! I am so thrilled that I have found my hair salon and my hairstylist, JANET! She was so amazing and I can't say enough about how much I love my hair and everything about Salon Escape! I am a forever client and I highly recommend Salon Escape for your hair needs! Not to mention they even have an esthetician on hand that will also take care of your skincare needs! Thank you Salon Escape for this amazing experience and I will see you at my next appointment in February!! read more

Salon Escape has been my choice of salon since 2019. The salon is clean, with great access to parking, the stylists are professional, and really know their profession. This is an Aveda salon, so I felt confident in choosing them and, to date, i have not been disappointed! Jen is my stylist and i look forward to each salon visit. COVID was tough when they shut down, but they re-opened when all shops were allowed... and i was truly grateful! They are tucked away in a large shopping center off meridian in puyallyup, near target, petsmart, and several food establishments to include crumbl cookie... so you can also run errands after your appointment! This is also a local business, so definitely give them a visit... you won't be disappointed! They see men, women, and kids. I KNOW I ALWAYS LOOK BETTER LEAVING THAN WHEN I ARRIVED! read more

I have been going to Salon Escape for years and continue to be very happy! I am very particular about my hair cut and color. Many years ago I learned I have see someone who has done additional learning. When my hair is cut well it styles easily. I continue to receive great cuts at Salon Escape! I prefer my color to look natural and I always leave feeling great! I have always been treated with kindness and respect when scheduling appointments and when I need to change my appointment. I really appreciate the friendly staff!! Also, I love the Aveda tea they serve!! It's delicious! read more

I have been going to this salon for over a year and Jennifer does a great job with my hair. She is always very patient, kind and listens to what I am thinking of trying with my hair. I appreciate a stylist like Jennifer who takes the extra time and attention like this. The salon is always clean when I come in and the stylists seem like they enjoy their jobs. Today I saw Lydia for a cut & color and it was such a lovely experience! She gave me exactly the look I was going for and created such a friendly, relaxing environment. I would 10/10 recommend booking an appointment with her! read more

Walked in with my daughter today. First was not greeted by the two I assume hair stylist that walked by us they definitely worked there. I get to the front desk that was actually oddly placed in the back right corner. I asked the woman at the desk about trimming my daughters bangs and when someone may be available. The woman looks me up and down literally glanced at her computer looks back at me and says "No ones available" she didn't suggest another day or anything else. Obviously they aren't a company that would like my money and more clientele. read more

I've been coming here for almost a year to have my hair cut by Bradley, who I can always trust to give me my best look. My 16yr. Old daughter gave $370 on a Brazilian blow out and it was a complete waste her hair is the same and they insulted my daughter and said its because she can't not blow dry her hair like a 16yr old glam girl can't blow dry they was rude and helpful owners of the business was not able to refund her money and told us she was lied about the way she drys her hair worst business ever I will never return and I urge you to go some where else read more

I came here for the first time today and Zach cut my hair. He is absolutely wonderful!! He made sure that he knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen. He gave me beautiful layers and texture, I was overjoyed! He also did an amazing job with washing my hair and putting all the right product in it. It was the best wash and cut I've had!! He's incredibly kind and funny, I will for sure be going back to him again. The salon itself has a very nice atmosphere, they offered me coffee, water, or tea when I arrived and there was a nice area to wait. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend visiting and requesting Zach! read more

This was my third time to salon escape and I won't be coming back unfortunately. The first time the girl was super sweet and did what I asked, I went home and found a couple things that needed fixing so I called and got scheduled the next day for a complimentary fixing. I went in the second time and a different girl fixed my hair and got it near PERFECT! About 2 months passed and my hair grew out a little bit so I decided to go back. I got a different girl. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and also explained how I wanted the outcome. I wanted it shorter in the back with a lot of layers all throughout my hair to give it that toddled messy look, and I wanted it all above my shoulders. Instead, it's all one length and there is ONE choppy layer on the backside and the side layer is also extremely choppy. She got the length part alright I guess. Super sweet girl though, but I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone unless they get recommendations for a specific hair stylist. My fiancé is going to make me call to get it fixed, he was even surprised how bad it looked. It looks so terrible I was on the verge of crying when I looked in the mirror. After I get it fixed I probably won't go back. And another thing, I was COVERED IN HAIR when I left. Never have I had that happen to me anywhere else. Please save yourself the embarrassment of getting a horrible haircut because I am paying the price for it. read more

Had my first experience here about a week ago, I was pleasantly surprised. Janelle did an amazing job on my hair and she was awesome to talk story with the whole time. My hair was in rough shape since it had been over a year since I had anything done to my hair. It feels great and looks even better than I could've imagined. Highly recommend Janelle!! read more

So I went here a couple of times and saw Anna. She did a great job the first time so I decided to go back. The second time, I wanted my hair a little blonde at the bottom, balayage ombre and by the way I have ethnic curly, thick hair. Well, at the end, my hair was about 3 different shades of color: from dark brown, to golden/orangish, to a very blond color for the remainder of my hair. My hair was so over-processed that it wouldn't flat iron properly and I no longer had texture on half of my hair, the part that was blonde. The whole thing was $280, which is pretty pricey for the damage that was done, but at that moment, I thought it was nice, so maybe that part was my fault. A few months later, I went to Regis where the stylist was able to tone down my hair. I don't think I'll be going back to Salon Escape again as that experience was not what I expected. By the way, I ended up chopping my hair to chin length, which was below the shoulders, because half my hair's texture was not the same as the other half. Thanks Salon Escape! read more

Very friendly staff and beautiful salon. They don't have a very modern approach of things however. It being an Aveda Salon kinda holds them back for many services people want. They didn't offer keratin treatments and my balayage was done more like highlights. When I went to another salon to get my balayage done again(I have dark hair , so you need to go a few times for desired look)she was confused when I said it was my second time . She said a balayage was not performed and so I need to go back again. read more

Kara literally gave me the worst hair cut of my life. I wanted to cut my hair shorter than i have had it in years. I explained that my hair is SO thick and I cant have it all one length. I showed her how my layers were varying greatly in lengths and thats how it needs to be otherwise it will puff out and be way too thick. She didnt listen to anything i said and just made it basically all one length with about 3 basic layers that were so close together that pretty much made my hair all one length. There was absolutely no stylistic creativity or thought put into my cut. She barely touched my side swept bangs and when i asked her to cut them shorter she said she was "afraid to" WHAT??? Just dont come here if youre looking for innovation or unique style. You will get basic boring style that wasnt even what you asked for read more

Very nice lady, horrible service... I made an appointment and she had double booked. I let the guy go ahead of me since I figure it would be fast... 1 hour later she was ready... then, it too forever to just straighten my hair up and trim.. It was very uneven so I ended up going to another salon for it to get fixed.. read more

They have very talented hair stylists and the prices are so reasonable. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Ask for Katie!

I have been going to Bradley for about 3 years now. He's done foils for me in the past, which were always beautiful. I've had many different hair styles over these 3 years. I saw him yesterday and got the shortest cut I've ever had...it's about an inch long. I usually tell him the length I want and 'do whatever you thing will look best'. And it always looks amazing! He is a great colorist and stylist. It's good to find a stylist who you can trust!! read more

But i was not disappointed! In fact, i got the best haircut ive ever had. Zack was sooo sweet and patient with me. He is so friendly and funny he had me laughing the whole time. It was a wonderful experience all the way around. The salon was clean, the receptionist and the other stylists were so sweet too. Best salon I've had in years! I came here because the location was convenient, I got the 1st appointment available with Amanda, this was a year ago. She has been my trusted hair stylist ever since. She is magic with a scissors! Amanda styles my whole family from 5 year old son & 2 daughters to mother who won't tell me her age. Not just Amanda but the whole salon is wonderful and friendly. I went to this salon to get a perm and it was the worst experience ever. The hair stylist mixed up the chemical and fried my hair: they acted like it was not a big deal. I went from never using oils and conditioner to having a collection of it due to their bad service. I had chemical BURNS, my scalp has no oils left and I my hair is FALLING more then they ever have. They gave me a 25% discount and offered a deep conditioning treatment. After what they did to my health hair, no amount of free sample size products or one time deep conditioning treatment is going to fix this damage. They kept saying the things i have experienced are common with a perm. My coworker had a perm there and she had no problems, because her hair dresser didn't mess up her perm. it's one thing to make a mistake, a whole another thing when you don't accept it and do nothing to make it better. BOTH owners did NOTHING to make things better. Save your hair and money and don't go to this place. Please. read more
