I visited Nabi a few weeks ago for a quick wash and style and Maria gave me exactly what I wanted! She was very sweet and was able to give me the look I wanted for a great price. I would probably drive 40 minutes for a haircut like this. + She wasn't afraid to give me a significant haircut -- usually when I tell someone I want a lot taken off, they are so concerned I won't like it that they don't take off nearly as much as I ask for. + She didn't make me feel weird about my gray hairs (I like them) or my eyebrows (they've been natural and untrimmed for 35 years, that's not going to change at this point). After asking around for someone kind, patient, and good at what they do I was referred to Kyongi to see about fixing my daughter's hair for her. It was my first time in their salon but Kyongi was quick to help and listen to me. She got my daughter scheduled for the next day to see what they could do. Kyongi took her time to make sure both my daughter and I would be happy with the results. My daughter came out of the salon feeling beautiful again and refreshed. Today was my lucky day...Kyongi was able to squeeze me in to her already booked schedule. I didn't mention that I wanted a balayage, which usually takes longer than a regular color, but she still worked with me on a very short notice. Even on a tight schedule she took her time & did a fantastic job! She got rid of all my dead ends and made my thick crazy hair feel light as a feather. I loved how friendly her and her staff were. UPDATE: After reading my previous review, the owner of the salon contacted me within an hour to find out what she could do to improve my experience. As I really liked the salon and everyone I interacted with, I agreed to come in for a color correction and cut, on the house. I decided to bring my daughter with me to get her hair cut, too. I couldn't be happier! The owner corrected my hair and it looks great! My daughter was nervous about getting water in her eyes so her stylist and the esthetician talked her through it and chatted with her the whole time. Everyone was very patient and fun and my kiddo came away happy with a great haircut! Lastly, although on the pricey side, my microdermabrasion facial was great!! I will definitely be a repeat customer and bring my daughter whenever she needs a cut! read more

I made the drive from Burien all the way to Puyallup but it was totally worth it! Kyongi was literally the sweetest, most patient stylist to work on my hair I came in with all over Asian bleached blonde hair and wanted to chop it to a bob as well as color it back to brown with some highlighted pieces in the front. She talked with me through the process until we were both on the same page and answered any questions I had. She was very personable and was willing to explain to me how...I guess "hair", works since I am in beauty school and had tons of questions. At the end we traded tips and tricks and it was so awesome to be able to have that conversation with her. I just went to Nabi Salon and Spa, today, to get a hair trim and adventurously requested bangs. Beth did an amazing job cleaning up the wild ends of my hair and crafted some beautiful fringes that help frame my face. I expressed to her that I struggle with a very round/square-shaped face and when I pull my hair back, my temples and cheeks distract from the rest of my facial features. Not only did she listen to my specific requests, but she stayed incredibly patient with me as I asked for more and more adjustments to my bangs. After my hair was perfected, she offered to apply some complimentary lip and cheek color from their proprietary line of cosmetics. Kyongi also made herself available to really spend some quality time consulting me on her microblading process and aftercare before I made the decision to schedule a future appointment! I wanted to support local small business while treating my wife to a little pampering, so I decided to give her a gift certificate for Christmas. When discussing pricing of various services available, the gal at the front desk quoted me $70 for an all-over color and $45 for a cut and style. I haggled and was assured that my wife could present her $100 gift certificate for both a cut and style AND the all-over color. The gal at the front desk even went so far as to enter my wife's information into their system. I assumed details of my haggling would have been relevant and, therefore, entered into said system. Unfortunately, when I asked my wife how her visit to the salon went, she told me that the folks there gave her a lot of double speak to justify why the $100 gift certificate would cover only the all-over color. To make matters worse, the color was not at all what was expected . . . to put it kindly. This place is a dumpster fire of incompetence and dishonesty! Avoid at all costs! read more

I went for my appointment on Saturday to find the salon gone with no notice. I bought a facial package and unable to use it. I've left messages and no reply back. I contacted the building leasing company and they confirmed Kyongi (owner) closed the salon but couldn't offer any assistance with how to contact her. Found this place on Groupon and made an appointment for 6pm. Received a call from them at 3:45pm stating they had a cancellation and asked if I could make it earlier like 5:15. I told the girl I would try to make it and get there as soon as I could after work battling traffic to get there asap. I drove for an hour and 45 mins only to find out that the girl had left. I questioned why someone didn't call me to let me know and the receptionist lied and said she did and had the audacity to ask if I wanted to reschedule.
