Now I…read morelive 15 miles down the interstate - no amount of driving carefully was going to be safe in that situation. Since I'm smart and handy or whatever, I got under the hood of my car - itself a predicament that warrants watching a YouTube video. Btw it's not just me - this one time back in the day when I went to get my oil changed at a lube spot, the mechanics there couldn't get it open either lmao. Welp once I got under it I noticed the coolant reservoir was bone dry. As in there was a leak not as in I don't know how to keep coolant in my car. So I called over to AutoZone to confirm they had the right coolant in stock. BTW shout to them for still being open at almost 10pm by this point. I Ubered over, got the product, Ubered back to my car, filled it up and drove home with my hands on the wheel and my cheeks clenched tight. When I woke up the next morning there was a fun puddle of blue stuff in my driveway teehee. Highlights of this store: -open late -well stocked (this was the only place that had the European coolant I needed) -good pricing -helpful employees In case you were wondering: Busted hose, thermostat housing crack, a lot of money. Smh. But it's fixed now and we love her.

My wife and I had an extremely disappointing experience at the AutoZone located at 386 Amwell Rd.,…read moreHillsborough, NJ. My wife went to the store simply looking for help. Instead of being treated with patience and professionalism, she felt ignored, dismissed, and spoken to in a condescending manner. She was sold a new battery before the battery already in her Jeep Cherokee was even tested. When it was later confirmed that her original battery was still good, Jim Mills refused to refund the battery even though it had just been purchased. Rather than trying to help, he made side comments to my wife that "everyone in the store already helped you," making an already frustrating situation even more humiliating. When I called the store hoping to resolve the issue professionally, Jim Mills recognized who I was and immediately hung up on me. As the owner of a security company, I know employees represent the reputation of a business. If one of my employees treated a customer the way Jim Mills treated my wife and me, I would consider it completely unacceptable and take immediate action. I sincerely appreciate Bret from AutoZone's corporate office for listening to our concerns and making things right. However, I believe management should carefully review Jim Mills' conduct. No customer should leave a business feeling ignored, belittled, or embarrassed after simply asking for help.

No B.S., just a straight deal, Danial (Danny) even picked me up at the NJ transit station, with a nice hot cup of DD for me too. I was coming from far away. Even the "closer", the finance guy, was pleasant. You know, that guy who offers you the extra warranty and stuff. I think they knew I was not going for any of that, so it was quick and painless. Full tank, car spotless. I am surprised at some of the other reviews (although some seem like they were a little whack). There is nothing not to like here. Obviously I can't speak for the service, as I just got it, and won't be back. Too far away. But many of the employees are then 10 or 20 years. That tells you something.

I traded in a vehicle that was worth more than the vehicle I purchased from Performance. Performance owed ME money on the transaction. I signed the title of my vehicle over to Performance as part of the transaction. Performance took my vehicle. I was promised the check for the difference between the two vehicles within 3-4 days. After a couple of weeks, when I did not receive the check, I called the salesman, "Phil" inquiring about it. He falsely told me that the check was "cut" and that he would send me a tracking number. He never did and never responded to my follow up inquiries. Performance never paid me what was owed to me. Then, after reviewing my contract carefully, I realized that Performance charged me $399 for anti-theft window etching that I never received. Fast forward 6 weeks later, I have filed a law-suit against Performance. It is pathetic that a client has to sue Performance to simply get it to pay what is undisputably owed to the client.
