Get a call from the representative the following day, giving out more private information, then after a hold told I was not approved (well, they didn't say that but it was the implied answer-if you pay off your collateral (which is what they wanted) with the loan, there would be no money left over. Considering what I owed on collateral and the loan amount, there would have been 11k left over but who would expect a financial agency to know how to do the math.

I've filed BBB complaints and they literally could care less they are going to continue to be predators. A $10k consolidation loan has somehow now cost me almost $30k. If you make extra payments to try to pay off the loan early it doesn't matter they already calculated and tacked all their interest on and are going to squeeze every last dime out of you. I've even spoken to the corporate office who were going to address some of the issues and let me pay off the loan sooner but when they saw it originated at this branch there was no longer anything they could do. Clearly their practices are not even in line with the corporate practices. They also refuse to speak on a recorded line or answer questions via email where their responses can be recorded. That practice alone should deter you from taking a loan with this business. If they were above board they would have nothing to hide. To top it all off I owe less than one payment left on my loan and now even though it's listed on no statement anywhere they are telling me I need to pay an additional $1000 in interest due to a one time $105 NSF fee from years ago. $1000! Which has not been documented anywhere and now they are pulling out of a hat to try to squeeze even more money from me. This place is an absolute predatory scam business. Call the corporate office and go through their online loan company if you really want to do business with one main but DO NOT use this branch.

She…read morehad the curves, the shine, the kind of allure that makes you stop thinking and start believing. Except the first time I met her in a PNW downpour the windshield wiper flapped uselessly like a limp handshake. Replacing the wipers was contractual. Basic safety. A correction to meet the State's prim-and-proper dress code. Still met with a laissez-faire attitude. When I picked her up, her glasses were still broken. I took the fix into my own hands--parts shop on the way home, a couple of tenners, a little elbow grease, done. Next up, the key fob. The emergency key was missing, the kind of detail that only matters when it matters. I brought it up, like an old lover who still believes a wrong turn should end with a nightcap and an apology. Instead, it turned from good cop to bad cop faster than a red carpet turns into a doormat. Then Murphy made a house call. The battery went low. She wouldn't let me in, like a partner who caught me gambling with the rent money. I used my one free call to get a locksmith to bail me out. Time and money burned on something promised on the first date. Next the check engine light blinked into life like it couldn't wait to hand me a bill and a lecture. Still loyal, I went back to them instead of the brand shop off the two one seven. One tip slipped across the bar after another. Reassurance she was safe to take out on the town without having to constantly look over my shoulder. It was just a false trail that kept circling back to the same code I heard on the scanner from day one. I was being led on a wild goose chase and suspected I was the stuffing. After months of silence and no new leads I picked up the phone to reopen the case, like a jilted ex dialing a number I know I shouldn't. The witnesses had "left." The records were "tied up." I was told the specifics about the prior investigation were withheld for "legal reasons." It read like the old standards had left the building, and she'd taken her charm with her. Trusting my first instinct, I took the old girl to the brand shop, the place that spoke her native tongue. They handed me the facts. No passing the buck. No song and dance. Workmanship you could hang your hat on. I'd finally gotten the full meal deal, but I'd lost my wallet in the process. I figured I'd give Freeman one last chance to make things right. I'd played this scene before, back when deals were clean and handshakes meant something. Back then, I had a number in my head and they hit it like a sharpshooter. This time it was a slow middle school dance on a wet gym floor, and every step felt wrong. The numbers didn't add up, even the Kelly Blue Boys gave me the kind of look you save for a three-card monte table. Sure, I could take a bruising, but I hadn't signed up to get rolled. The relationship ended with a love letter that read like a case file, our entire history laid out in black and white, followed by a reply that never came. Freeman was a name I'd trusted since I was a rookie twenty years back, the door I knocked on when I wanted a fair and honest deal, the place I sent friends, family, and associates. Somewhere along the way, it seemed they traded the Freeman name for the Saul Goodman Sunday Special. In this town, some places sell you a promise the way a magician sells you a trick. You watch the shine. You miss the move. I gave them every chance to play it straight, but instead I got a different story each time, ended up with the bills, and found myself alone in the rain without an umbrella. Ragged, like a mark who realized the gig too late, I closed the file, because sometimes that's the only win you get. Take a walk. Don't look back. The rain will wash the footprints away.

This was hard to write a negative review on a couple young guys trying to make something for…read morethemselves but I felt like I needed to based on my experience this morning. To keep from making this too lengthy, I'll just give you guys some advise: When someone calls on a vehicle to make sure there won't be any surprises, be honest. The tires (especially the front) where in horrific shape, the body on the rear passenger side had some recent shoddy work done to it with a satin finish on a high gloss truck. Kinda stood out. Jimmy rigged wiring to a navigation system that no longer worked, and a thousand more miles than listed after only "3 weeks" of owning it. I asked Victor 3 times how long he was working from that specific location. He said 18mo. I immediately asked again and he said, "well, like a year". I said that I knew they had only been in the building for a bit over 2 months and he replied, "well, it's more than 2 but maybe like 8 or something." I specifically asked and was specifically told everything was working great and there would be no surprises. There was some more stuff but I don't feel like writing it all. The moral of the story is to be upfront and I could have delt with it for a better price or just not wasted either of our time.

I've had Chase, BOFA, KeyBank, ALL of them work like this. Just because you're disgruntled because you can't reach a body fast enough by phone does not warrant a 1 star review. Let me tell you about my experience(s) there thus far. I've had them for about a year. My credit card was hacked once [online purchase] and they caught it immediately. Every single time I go in there I am greeted immediately. Every service I've ever needed was taken care of promptly, from new cards, to coin counting, to ordering checks. I have the mobile app which I pay bills from, there is NEVER an issue they don't handle immediately. And let me tell you what happened just this morning. Thank you LISA FROM THE WIRE TRANSFER DEPARTMENT. I completed the wire for something that should have been paid for YESTERDAY. And while the payment was not late, it was a matter of confirming with my seller that the payment was made for shipping purposes. So I called the 800 customer service number, I hit 4..then I hit 3. And I was connected immediately. I didn't have to wait, I wasn't 10th in line, and it's already 9:40am on a Tuesday..if that tells you anything. So I explained to the young man what it was I did, and how I did it. He confirmed the payment would not go out until TOMORROW. *ALL* financial institutions work their wire departments differently. OCCU likes to LOOK at each one they just don't send them out [thank you fraud department measures!] but when I explained why and what it was, he asked if he could put me on hold. When he came back he said LISA in the wire department would pull mine and process it AND send me an email today of when it was completed. IF THAT ISN'T SERVICE AND KINDNESS I DONT KNOW WHAT IS. I asked if I could send them cookies or pizza as a thank you and he said "just pay it forward and make someone else smile we're glad we could assist you with your transaction that's why we are here". WHEN do you ever hear something like that from a customer service representative any more? KUDOS to them. Post pandemic people have no patience any more. BUT remember please-the reason you USE THEM is because they provide the human touch service large banks do not. WELL DONE OCCU! and many thanks.

What a joke. Been on hold for 18 minutes, still no rep on the phone. So I must not be the only one with issues. SMH Spent 35 minutes on hold, finally clicked for a call back. Lady calls back and is useless. I made a payment Saturday since they can't do the simplest of tasks. Came out of my account today, she goes I see nothing. I wouldn't trust them to watch a stuffed animal, yet alone be a financial institution. She can't tell me why 1/2 payment was taken last month, can't explain to me why I can't make additional payments and apply it to prinicipal. I have to wait for a call back after creating a ticket. Talk about a waste of time. Will be contacting the appropriate channels to get this sham of a company some sort of discipline. As they seem to think they can or can't do what they're supposed to do. Every experience has been so much better than any of the other places around town. While they don't have the service department or the huge lot of vehicles, the process with them is pressure-free and friendly. Also, you don't spend a whole day at the dealership if you buy from them, they know what they're doing and don't waste time going back and forth between buyer and manager or whatever it is the larger places do to drag things along. They also won't push you to buy something you don't need. Every time we've been there, they've waited awhile before approaching us, letting us look at vehicles without feeling like you're going to be accosted by a stereotypical salesperson as soon as you park on the lot. Also, if you're looking for something really specific, they do offer to do the searching for you and will get you the car you're looking for, if you can't find it here right away. I recommend Oregon Roads all the time!
