I called to set up payment arrangements on a balance just under $600. I could pay $100 a month possibly more but wanted to make payments of $100. Was told that wasn't enough and I had to pay $190 a month. I went into the online pay system and it said minimum payment was $100 so I though hey cool that is what I wanted it must have been set at that minimum and I could pay more if possible. After making 3 payments I get a letter that says I didn't make the payment amount that I had arranged over the phone and unless I paid the remaining in 10 days they were filing with the court. When I called to find out what the heck I was told I had to pay the remaining in full by the 16th or they would take court action. That if I couldn't make the payment of $190 I should have told them and they would have looked at my financials to see what I COULD pay... LIE!!! I was NEVER offered to submit financials to prove what I could or couldn't pay. Then I told SHELBY that I would just keep making the $100 payments and it would be paid off by the time they got an action through the courts... she said "I will just reject any of those payments. I won't accept them." Ummmm you don't get to reject payment on a debt... I'll find a way to pay it - on the last day possible to make them do the prep work to file in court and then not. ALSO I am the business manager and we have this agency set as our collection agency... I just prepped 17 files for collections with just over $30k in interest accruing collections.... I will be taking our business elsewhere. I hope that getting your $286 a month sooner was worth the loss of business. You may want to do some new training with your "pitbull" reps... Her attitude just lost you potentially $9000+ in fees.

A Serious Warning for Anyone Banking at MAPS Credit Union…read more My 73‑year‑old father, a retired tradesman who had never sent a wire transfer before, was allowed to complete ELEVEN transfers totaling $72,800 at MAPS Credit Union in West Salem. Every transfer was labeled as "investing in crypto," and he told me he felt nervous each time he signed the paperwork. His signatures were visibly shaky. Despite these clear red flags, MAPS staff continued processing large, unusual transfers without taking any meaningful steps to verify what was happening or to protect an elderly customer. Bank employees are required to complete wire‑transfer training, and the lack of intervention here felt like a serious failure of those responsibilities. When I tried to resolve this directly with MAPS, I got nowhere and ultimately had to escalate the issue to the NCUA. This did not feel like an honest mistake -- it felt like negligence.
