Upon notifying the bank they immediately when into action to rectify the situation and took me for my word. The reality is, I had little recourse and could have easily been burned by them. It was clear from the beginning that WVBK didn't even consider taking this route. I was really impressed with their integrity and customer service, especially that of Eric Gerhart. In today's age of consumer treatment, it was quite refreshing. Highly recommend.

They began in 1957 in Corvallis, Oregon and unlike many other banks which began in this fine state, they stuck around and are STILL headquartered here in (Corvallis) Oregon!! What earns this five-star review is their unparalleled level of customer service; never any lines because every employee is always willing to help a customer, always a real person answering the phone when I call, got to know me by name from the day I opened my account, immediately takes care of any issue I have and even checks in with me to see if they can improve their customer service! It's an old-fashioned handshake-kind-of-feel with a modern twist. The Salem branch in particular is a great one because it's of that newer micro-branch kind of design. A small downtown footprint however, big enough to send an employee out to my business whenever I need help with remote deposit capture or the need for a notary when in a pinch. If you're unhappy with your financial institution, give them a call or stop by. You won't regret it, trust me!
