Drove 6 hours from Washington to buy a car from them last month. Great communication and fair…read moreprice upfront. They were able to finance me even being out of state and the vehicle being older. Worst part of the experience was the salesman, I had been communicating with, did not show up the day we had planned to meet AND had misquoted my APR. BUT they made it right by lowering the price to make up for the difference. When the salesman was a no show, Allen (a different salesperson) was quick, courteous, professional and zero pressure to buy extras. Thanks for the great experience!

my used my last of my saving yesterday to purchase a car big enough for me and all my kids. I have…read more4 kids and 1 on the way so safety is very important to me. the salesman was told this all and that I didn't want to buy something that was going to break down when I got home. because I'm using all my money. he assured me the van was great no accidents no reports been maintained by the state. I test drove it and it drove great. I ended up purchasing it straight out cash because I didn't want payments but I don't have enough to get any type of warranut they only offered me one for 3 months that was 250 and I didn't hav anymore money after buying the van. he knew I had to drive back 40 min home with kids so for that fact knowing what was wrong with the car is so beyond shady to me. Like are you a dad? How would u feel if that was your kids and mother of your kids you should be ahead of yourself . I get home It drive great the whole way I put it in park after turning into my parking spot and a light comes on that says EPS BAS and I was like hmm that's strange I'm a girl so I didn't even know what that meant. I turn the car off and turn it back on to see if it and t away and the car would no go it of gear. Now it's stuck in park with that light on my dash and I litterally drive it for 30 min before not being able to use it after paying 5200 cash for this van. I have never felt so ashamed and scammed in my life. I'm a single mother and bow I have no way to work I have no money for a car and I have a car I can't fix that I just bought. I'm so sad and I hope people are bangle to see the lot for who they are so they don't get scammed. I would hate for another person to feel how I'm feeling right now. I hope karma finds its way to them because I'm just out of luck and there's nothing I can do about it.

With the fires and ash, I can't judge them for cars being a little dirty on the outside, but the inside could have used some TLC- previous owner was a smoker, still smelled, needed some parts just cleaned inside- so yeah I bought the car knowing I wanted to get home and use some windex and fabreeze, but I feel the price he sold the car at reflected that. And really, sometimes on the smaller lots, that's what you're trading- they aren't staffed to be detailing each car to make them look like new, but the price on our Chevy HHR was definitely the best I was going to get in town, so I can't complain at all! He wasn't pushy about the warranty at all, he was helpful with our financing. So yeah- if I needed another car, I'd likely check back with these guys, and felt they treated me well!

We were looking for a used EV, and found the exact car we wanted at Pj's. I called and spoke to…read moreErik on Sunday, May 22nd. We had a great conversation and shared information about the used EV market, including me informing him about the $5,000.00 Charge Ahead rebate being offered from the State of Oregon. I slept on the decision and called Erik back on Monday, May 23rd. We agreed on an out the door price over the phone. I was informed - during that call - that there was one disclosure, which was that the air conditioning was not blowing cold. Erik told me that he would get the car serviced and that the cost of the service might change the cost of the vehicle. I agreed to this arrangement and offered to put a down payment on the vehicle - he didn't want me to do this because he was unsure of the final price. I spoke to PJ's several times between May 25th and May 30th - looking for information about when the car would be ready and working out logistics for the purchase. I did receive accurate information along the way and I was doing my best to be patient, in order to have the eventual opportunity of purchasing this vehicle. On May 30, I spoke with Erik again - the car was ready to go, and we re negotiated the out the door price for an additional $300.00 - which was reasonable. There wasn't time to get the car prior to closing on May 30. I called on the morning of June 1 @ 10:29 and talked to Dave. He raised the out the door price by an additional $500.00 and told me that the dealership had done everything for me. He stated that the price quoted yesterday was irrelevant and that told me that I could come down that day to pick up the car at the new price or that they would sell it to next customer. I stated that I wanted the car. He told me that he was getting upset and that he didn't want to talk to me any longer. He talked over me, was verbally aggressive toward me, and was not willing to hear my point of view about the details of the negotiation to date. I made arrangements to take 1/2 day off work to get down to Salem and purchase this vehicle for the stated price. I called the dealership at 11:30 to let them know we were on the way - and the time of arrival. There was no answer - and no answering machine. I received a call from Dave at 11:59 letting me know that he had sold the car. I am disappointed that PJs did not honor their end of this deal (price / holding this car for me). This was a solid car - at a reasonable price - even with the increases that had been added at the last minute and I was willing to pay the final price. I am angry to have been treated in a rude and disrespectful manner.

Went with my son, a humble young man who's a vegan, completely eats organic, does yoga, loves his…read moredog, etc..all around cool guy and we were trying to find him a car at Nissan/Capitol Auto Group in Salem, Oregon. My son had been working and saving his money. Then, I'd help him out a bit, too. He found a used Subaru (#1 safety, nice color, great car for dogs, Subaru really supports dogs (pets), etc... and we liked this Subaru at the Nissan/Capitol Auto Group dealership. The car was not even listed on their website and was in the lot of trade-ins (with 75+ other trade-in cars) in a lot behind the Subaru dealership. So, I helped negotiate with finance guy #1 for $15k for this Subaru car and only if he agreed at $15k would we then take the car to an independent mechanic (AJ's Auto who are great guys!) to be mechanically inspected. Finance guy #1 agreed to the $15k and we dropped the car at the AJ's auto mechanic for approx. 4 hours which cost my son $170.00. Later in the evening, we picked the car up from the AJ's auto and drove the Subaru back over to Nissan/Capitol Auto Group dealership. My son really excited thinking he'd be driving his car home that evening, his 1st good decent car with good safety and was mechanically good...a car he would be using for several years to drive back and forth to work (Amazon) while he continued his college (studying Ayurvedic Medicine as he says, so he might help others in the world) Upon arriving at the Nissan/Capitol Auto Group dealership were met with finance guy #2 (no idea where finance guy # 1 was) and finance guy # 2 says to us that the price of the Subaru was now $17,500.00 and not the $15,000.00 originally agreed upon and that had been earlier negotiated. Increasing the price by $2500.00. Smh! WTH! I was livid! My son's spirit now broke. I spoke loudly telling the finance guy #2, that he should be ashamed of himself and what a terrible shady thing to do to this kid! I continued to tell finance guy #2 that not only did my son waste his time at the Nissan dealership/Capitol Auto Group, that the dealership lied and my son was now out his $170.00 auto inspection that he paid. (They finally reimbursed my son the $170.00) So, while we still haven't found my son a solid and dependable car, I'm telling this story so you all can be aware of the extremely shady practices of Capitol Auto Group and their dealerships. No integrity whatsoever. I will not now or ever be recommending any dealership owned by Capitol Auto Group and certainly never recommending the Nissan dealership in Salem, Oregon. their website says, Hard lesson learned for us at 100%...

They left my pregnant sister in law waiting for almost 1 1/2 - 2 hours waiting becuase they messed up and then tried to cover up their mistake. Then when we went to pick up the vehicle the next day, the girl in service said "oh you're here to get the car that won't start. It's the one our back with the window down." Hopefully nothing was stolen when they left it outside with the window down. Stay away. Drive to Wilsonville or anywhere but this place... you've been warned...
