If you can't find good barbecue in Alabama, then you must be an idiot. The problem here is trying to decide which one you like the best. For a lot of people like me, the fun is in the hunt. Trying to decide who has the best bq pork sandwich is a loss cause. It's all a matter of individual taste in this state. My favorite bq sauce is Ollie's, and they have been out of the restaurant business for 20 years, though you can still purchase their vinegar based sauce at local grocery stores. Okay then, all I have to add is, Full Moon has the best onion rings and Greek Salads you can get at a drive thru anywhere in town. The onion rings are thick and actually taste like onion and not thin overcooked mostly thin tastelessness. You can't cheat yourself too much here. You'll wanna get the large order. That'll be your appetizer. After that, switch speeds once in your boring and aimless life and order the Greek Salad. You can thank me later for getting you out of the rut you've been in your whole life. Seriously, everything on their menu is great. My dog likes it too.

Kinda bummed that a had a coworker from Chicago with me and chose to take him here for lunch. The food wasn't special at all and the bun for his burger even instantly just completely broke apart as soon as he tried to pick up his burger. He didn't even eat more than a couple of his french fries either. My salad was mediocre. We did each grab a desert too and they were just mediocre. Nothing was horrible but nothing was great either. Our server guy was nice as we placed the order.

Few people had recommended this BBQ spot in Alabama. It had a drive thru so no getting out the car. It was packed with customers so why not give it a try. The rib meal came w full slab of ribs and 6 slices of bread, choice of 2 sides of 3 options which were cole slaw, baked beans, or potato salad. You also got 4 Half-Moon cookies. Oh and a container of bbq sauce. I admit I was little surprised my sides were put in to go cups then a cup holder. I guess a smart way to utilize what u have and fill an order. The service. Let's start there. I got a quick run down at the drive thru menu. She was patient with me and did good job explaining and making suggestions. Food. The ribs were really good. I mean they were seasoned really well. They did not have bbq sauce on them and I didn't add any. The meat was tender came right off the bone. The Half-Moon cookies which are chocolate chip cookies and half dunked in chocolate were pretty tasty. I enjoyed the cookies. The potato salad was okay. I added some salt and pepper to me. I think a little too much mayo. Needed more relish, eggs, and touch of mustard for me. The baked beans had a little charcoal taste. I didn't care for the beans a little burnt taste to me. My son got the baby back rib plate w fries and Mac n cheese. The ribs were covered with sauce. I was surprised they were not as tender as the spare ribs in the family meal. They were a little tough.. The fries were good. The mac n cheese was alright. He's a mac n cheese expert so it has to be a certain way. I tried it and it was okay. All in all not a bad experience.

Full Moon Bar-B-que gets a 5 out of 5 for food taste and atmosphere, but there were some aspects of it where I would give it a 4. I would give it a 4 because the restaurant gives you a sense that you are ordering fast food yet the food does take approximately 20 minutes to be served. If you get water, it is charged like a drink and has a bad after taste. The corn of the cob was not that tasty. I did love their pulled pork, wings, cole slaw and sauce. The burger was ok, which is fine because I did not expect a burger to be their main item. Good costumer service, lovely music and plenty of TVs to watch the game.

Carrot Cake: Small slice. Looked like box cake, as not 1 piece of carrot was visible! A little dry, but tasted ok.

Best slaw ever. The brisket was very good, just a little too much sauce but overall very yummy!

The food is ok. Their cookies are yummy. But they don't have the best bbq. And they're expensive.

The waitress was friendly and we received our food in a reasonable time. I ordered the stuff snapper with a grand lemon drop for my drink. The lemon drop was okay. It wasn't the best I have had. It was a little too strong for me. The snapper was nice. The stuffing was a crab and shrimp dressing and the fish was topped with crab. Good experience and evening with friends

Nothing too fancy, just hop in line, tell them what you'll have and they plate it up and bring your drink to you at the table. Everything looked pretty good. Meatloaf, grilled chicken, some greens, potatoes, mac and cheese, etc. I went with the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy with mac and cheese. It was the middle of lunchtime to everything was hot and fresh, and the white gravy was really good. They didn't have many desserts, just slices of cake by the register and by the time I saw those I was full and it was too late to make the bad decision to stuff myself with dessert. The people were friendly, the place was clean and tidy and the food was served in large portions especially given the price. If you're hungry and near this part of town, don't think twice. Head in and they'll hook you up with some gravy covered goodness and they'll do it for around 10 bucks. Not bad at all.
