Nice intimate setting to stretch yourself into relaxation. Full Circle is a local studio on Main St. that offers many promotions through groupon for either a punch card or unlimited monthly pass. They offer an array of levels to choose from as well as awesome events for those that would like to be enlightened on some yogic topics. I purchased an unlimited pass and only used it once so far. The yoga teacher I encountered was Meghan and she was teaching a F2 Vinyasa class. I loved her instruction and tone. It was fluid and offered great options. I would note that you may want to tell your instructor if you are opposed to adjustments if it's not your thing. The group present that night was pretty mellow and all going at their own pace, which is fine. The vibe could have been a little less segregated but I didn't mind so much. There are props available for use and mat rental for a dollar. I suggest checking them out online to view their class offerings and pricing. If the shoe fits, go to the groupon site to see if they are offering a deal your willing to indulge in. In retrospect, I'd go for a punch card because you never know what may come up and not be able to take advantage of the full month but if your motivated, it may be right for you. They also do teacher training here as well- just to throw it out there. Great studio for first timers!! read more

I absolutely love this place!! What a change from the overcrowded, hot, stinky place I used to practice in Boulder (I won't name names). It's a small building, so the classes are small, which I love because I feel like I get more personal attention. I love that most of the teachers help with positioning and also cultivate a mindfull awareness of what's going on inside your head. I feel like my practice at Full Circle is a meditation on top of a physical workout, the best of both worlds! Erik offers workshops each month that allow you to delve deeper if you're interested. On top of all the amazing qualities of this studio, it's freakin' cheap! Another thing I'm not used to coming from Boulder. I totally recommend this place to both beginners and yogis (I'm somewhere in the middle of those two), and with the free week thing, you have nothing to lose. read more

I cashed in on the free week Full Circle offers to all new students (no strings attached! no commitment!) and have loved every minute of my experiences in the studio. So far I've taken classes with Mirna, Shauna and Erik. The location in downtown Longmont is really convenient for me, but what I love the most about this studio is the attitude of the teachers. It's a very come-as-you-are type of place. The classes are fairly challenging vinyasa style, but all of the instructors are really accepting of each student and their place in their yoga journey and are happy to provide alternatives to more challenging poses. Big focus on alignment. Also, class sizes are fairly small, so there's a great instructor-to-student ratio. Physical adjustments, if you're open to them, seem to be a big part of the teaching style, and I also really love that if I need a little extra guidance in a pose, there's plenty of individual attention to go around. I've been searching for a new yoga home, and I think this is my place! read more

I found Full circle thru groupon, bought the one month deal after the initial free week, fell so in love with the community and instructors that i decided to extend my stay in Longmont, CO. to attend the Yoga Teacher Training at Full Circle for the fall. This studio and the lovely beings that occupy it are making a huge difference in peoples lives and the community response is beautiful. Love, love, love this place! Living social had a deal for a month of unlimited classes for $35, which needless to say, I couldn't resist. I started out with the F1 class. This level is focused on learning the basic yoga positions and doing them safely. Although I took numerous F1 classes I never felt that they were repetitive. All the instructors make sure to tweak the class every time and teach you many different postures. I just renewed my 3rd month at the low price of $69 for unlimited classes. I am now taking the F2 class which is more challenging, focuses on strength and flexibility and is heated. I have not gotten up the courage to take the F3 class yet but I am aware that they raise the temperature slightly higher than they do in the F2 class and it's faster flowing. The music they play fits the atmosphere and the work you are doing in that class. It is always relaxing music but still has energy to it. They never play techno and the only vocals include soft humming. This studio is focused on you and your own practice. They definitely get you to push yourself but they also respect the fact that you may want to take it easy that day and invite you to do so while also giving you praise for making it onto your mat that day which is very rewarding. The studio is smaller than you would expect most yoga studios to be but I find this quite nice. This gives the instructors the opportunity to focus on every individual, give them advice and correct imperfections as well as possibly dangerous situations. The studio is very clean and well kept. I have not had the opportunity to practice with all of the instructors but Eric and Rachel are my personal favorite. Jimmy is fairly new but his classes are awesome and you'll be feeling it the next day! Well don't take my advice for it, come and decide for yourself! read more

A friend took me here and I'm happy to find a good studio in Longmont. (I had a terrible experience elsewhere with an odd teacher drenched in perfume, see my review.) I almost feel guilty giving this place a 3 star review but they are new and might care to listen. This is the problem I have with most Longmont studios. They take 1 aspect of yoga and beat it to death - the vinyasa style. These are my gripes with this yoga studio in particular. 1. Music - I absolutely do not want to listen to vocals or techno and other beaty music during yoga. It is so distracting. This studio has this kind of music a lot. It affects my focus. 2. If I want aerobics I will go to an aerobics class. Please don't fool me with ab crunches in Reclining Bound Angle Pose - that is not yoga. 3. Vinyasa style yoga which is based on Surya Namaskar is called that for a reason - It is meant to be done in the morning as a warm up for your day. Not at 7 PM at night. Yoga should take the rhythm of the day and your body into account . I would like a studio that offers a more traditional practice with more restorative poses later in the day. Restorative yoga can still be challenging. 4. If I want to be cued into wheel pose and downward facing dog I can use a DVD. What I want is adjustments, help and personalization when I cannot come into wheel pose (for example). The vinyasa style is so limiting and fast that there is no time for inversions, fish pose and other poses which don't fall within the surya namaskaram framework. There is also no time for actually progressing and working on individual poses. I still can't get to plank and upward facing dog elegantly and this class has no time to work on that. I keep doing it in a haphazard way without becoming better. 5. The vinyasa style is so focused on your core that when you tire out (obviously no average person can engage the core for 45 mins) it is hard on your knees and other weak areas. 6. It is boring. The sequence is almost the same while yoga is a world in itself. Of the instructors I have used I like Elise a lot. She does a good job with her cues and she at least modifies the class based on feedback from how we are doing. I also like her focus on the intent on the mat. Most teachers are also good with the personal adjustments (they have time for this for only 1 pose in the session - either corpse or pigeon or downward facing dog) I'd like to see a more traditional practice with poses, counter poses and vinyasa for not more than 20 minutes of the class. Please use music designated as background music. The studio has hope but please I want yoga as yoga is meant to be. read more

Took the Restorative Yoga with Aromatherapy and Live Music today with a girlfriend of mine, and boy did it deliver! For two hours, our amazing instructor Jennie ministered to us all, guiding us through about 8 poses. She has such a kind and magnetic energy, and made me feel not only connected to her, but connected to the group as a whole. The live music was played by a fellow whose name I believe is John. For two hours straight he hardly broke his guitar playing--simple appealing background pieces that made it easy for me to focus on my bliss (and not worry about traffic outside). Then there was the aromatherapy! Jennie had several diffusers set up in the room and for each pose she layered on a different blend of essential oils that apparently were handcrafted especially for this workshop by an aromatherapist. The scents were never overpowering and just beautiful--each one unique and perfectly timed. This experience and the people who made it happen nurtured my senses and my soul. I was visiting my family in Longmont and discovered this GREAT studio!! The owner, Erik, is such a warm and friendly person, not to mention a really good instructor!! I got a free week of yoga and really enjoyed the classes! When I read that the studio was Vinyasa style I expected the pace to be very quick, but I was pleasantly surprised that Erik's teachings closely resembled my typical style of Anusara and were slower and more alignment focused. This studio is a great addition to downtown Longmont! If you're looking for nice people, great instruction, and a more zen-spin on your day this is the place for you!! read more

I tried yoga a few different times but always left self conscious or more anxious than when I started. I moved to Longmont about 8 weeks ago, and happened to walk by the studio. They had a yoga for beginners class that was starting and I thought I'd give it a shot. It was $90 for 4 weeks and you also get a mat. I had an amazing experience. The instructors were so so so kind and I finally found a place where I felt I could truly relax and learn to embrace yoga at my less than ideal size. I missed the 4th class because I was sick, but I think I can make it up. The only thing holding me back is that I'm not currently working, and the class prices are a little high for my budget at the moment. I hope to be a regular in the very near future! read more

Love love love! I finished my teacher training here and have never quite felt more open or cared for than here. They taught me how to breathe, come to center, be open to myself and there are some pretty great yogis in here as well. There are those moments in your life that turn it all around or steer it to a whole new direction. This was one of those moments. The yoga classes are fun, sweaty and challenging no matter what level you are at but the full circle motto- feel free to do what feels good for you. They challenge you to be the yogi that lays in shavasana the whole class if it's what suits you. Not only will doing that help your physically if that's what your body needs but it's a total mind trip as well. Go in! Try it! They are loving and sweet as can be :) read more

I like this studio in many aspects. They have multiple classes with a good variety of times to accommodate those that work and those with a leisurely life style. Seems all the teachers were trained at Core Power so the variety amongst the teachers is small. The teachers seem pretty robotic in their cues and routine so it tends to be on the predictable boring side. Still, a decent yoga class in spite of that. I just wish they had a wider palette of yoga styles to keep my interest up. The teachers all seem to play music the entire class, be it in Savasana (when i think silence is in order) or in the closing salutation so I'm not sure if that's a Core Power trait or just how the whole studio rolls but it is certainly not traditional yoga practice. Electronic music does not jive with yoga and fairly drives me nuts. I am in yoga for both the spiritual aspects and the achievement of asana so music that one would hear in a bar does not bode well. The teachers rarely come around to correct you in class so I always wonder if I am doing the poses correctly. It would be helpful if they observed the students and assisted them in the poses when warranted. How better to learn? The floor is uneven in areas and is carpeted which is not an ideal surface for balance and holding poses. Wish the owners would invest some money into wood floors and leveling the surface. With all my complaints, it's still a sweet place that has heart and is certainly a major improvement in offering yoga to Longmont. read more

I took my first class a week ago and absolutely loved it. I have gone four times this week so far. Full Circle Yoga is located in a very convenient area of downtown Longmont with parking in the front and back. The studio has a very warm and welcoming feel to it - I have been to some yoga studios where I just feel "out of place." Not the case here - I have had classes with Erik, Elise, Rachael and Shauna and they are all great at what they do. So friendly and enthusiastic about teaching what they love and it is very obvious in the way they each conduct their class and interact with you. The excitement is contagious, I feel like I have learned so much just in the week that I have been there - so happy to have a great yoga studio in Longmont. read more

I enjoyed the free week very much and the variety and different styles/levels. However, the place smells like high school locker room which is difficult to get past. I'm seriously having a problem with that stank funk though I think they're great otherwise. They would be well served to rip out the carpet which seems to be a big sweat sponge. Nuff said. read more

Shauna Hylenski's yin yoga classes are fantastic !! A nice change of pace to supplement a mostly intermediate - level vinyasa flow such that I usually attend (particularly recommend Brie, Shawna S, and Elise for F2s) . The deep stretching helped me with stress and sleep immediately. Highly recommend. read more
