Gross! We went at 8pm and 40 min later everything was still the same, no trays refilled, empty trays. The only thing I was able to put on my plate was a slice of roast beef which was also gross. Tasted a cream puff and it was rotten. Food my boys got was bland and had no flavor. This place is good to go with your family and with friend, the food is very good but ones I accidentally dropped a piece of chicken and a woman told me to pick it up and made me put it back in my plate that by the way still had food on it, but it only happened ones so I'm not tripping. read more

I know this place had a bad rep. but the food has improved tremendously! I love shrimp and this place is loaded with various selection of shrimp. My favorite is the honey walnut shrimp and they good quality shrimp as well as decent size. The food looks fresh and taste yummy! Give it a chance. Definitely coming back! read more

This is a very reasonable buffet with pretty decent food. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The variety of food was limited as there were few choices for the main course and dessert. I highly recommend not to try the ice cream, it's just sugar water. For the price of the dinner buffet, give it a try. read more

Visited here over the weekend, I don't need to go back. There were way too many people with a lot of kids, who were were unattended and trying to serve themselves, not my kind of crowd. A lot of customers were reusing their plates, which is a health department VIOLATION. Some of the plates on the buffet were dirty. These customers were obviously from 3rd world countries or situations where they have not been taught proper dining etiquette. There were inadequate restroom facilities. The food here is okay tasting. There is quite a selection to choose from. I enjoy the Mongolian BBQ. There is also shrimp, crab legs, sushi, oysters, Chinese food, chicken, fish, pizza, salad bar, etc. The waiters are usually nice and are quick to take your plates when you're finished but I do have to ask for refills most of the time. What I don't like is the 2 main cashiers. Both are young Mexican girls who have horrible attitudes. But what can you say, it's Oxnard. If you can deal with that, you'll be okay. read more

I would say that this restaurant has the best Chinese buffet in Oxnard, CA (I only know of two such buffets). Selection is OK and the food is satisfactory, although not high-quality, and sometimes not "fresh." The food fare was delicious as buffets go. My only concern was not about the food but the restroom facilities. It was not up to par, to say the least. I think the mangolian stir fry, cook as needed, was as good as anything I have been to in the Los Angeles-Orange-San Diego areas. read more

Hmm, where do I begin: The fact that the food at this location has been mediocre at best (even when it was called "Super King" or "Blue Star" buffet), the lackluster ambiance, the TV's, UN-appetizing sushi (ironic for a place called Fuji), the added charges for refills that clearly weren't advertised, or the feeling of uneasiness I get from the people working here? I haven't been to a buffet in a while, and this reminded me of why I should be eating quality-over-quantity Asian cuisine. Then again, even at "buffet standards" does this place drop the ball with a majority of greasy entrees, bland dessert and salad choices, and ice cre-or I mean a frozen treat (not sure if it's froyo) that seemed to be watered-down soft serve. Suffice to say, I'm thinking that this place will most likely keep churning out the same quality food, even if it dares to change it's name again. I've only been to this place three times; once under their different guises. First time I came and grabbed to-go meals with my wife. It was super quick and the food was hot & ready 2nd time a couple days ago with a few people from work for their first time and we all enjoyed. There food has gone downhill and the staff is rude and couldn't care less for their customers...especially when they are busy. If there is a problem, they couldn't care less. My husband and I went here last night for dinner and it was extremely busy and noisy. We waited for our table and once we were seated went to the buffet for our meal and that's were it really went from bad to worse. We couldn't even get into the hot food because kids were swarming it. Also, they kept running out of plates. I finally got a bowl of soup and some shrimp. The soup was very salty and there was only one shrimp...and it was cold. We found this hard to believe since there were so many people, we thought for sure the food would be turned over frequently and would be hot. I guess not. Pushing the soup aside, I went back in line and found no plates anywhere. We waited over 10 minutes for plates but they never brought them out. We tried to find our waiter, but they were nowhere to be found so we commented to the person at the front, she just looked away like she couldn't be bothered (there was nobody else at the desk when I was there). We decided to leave and, even after explaining how we couldn't eat because there weren't any plates along with the food being extremely poor quality, they had the nerve to demand we pay full price for our "meal". We tried to explain we only had a bowl of soup and some shrimp and they "negotiated down" to $4 PER PLATE. And not once did we get an apology for their rude behavior and horrible experience. Too bad. The old Blue Star Buffet was our favorite. They have done a nice job of remodeling the booths etc. But, the food is so greasy. Sushi is dry. Had to search for plates. Used to love the spinach with cheese, the large clams baked with cheese and the fresh shrimp are also missing. Very disappointed. read more

After being loyal customers for many many years I'm leaving a bad review. The main reason just because things have changed over the last year. The food has gotten mediocre which normally I would have given at 2 or 3 star. However tonight was the last straw. We went there and they had no plates. That's right no plates. I realize it was busy being a Sunday night, and did we would have to wait for some plates to be washed so I grabbed an egg roll and the last fried shrimp they had shut down and waited after about 10 minutes. We went back and they still had no plates so we decided we were going to leave told the waiter we were leaving because there's no place and because they were out of most of the food. Went up and told the manager we were leaving for the same reasons. She apologized and said thank you. So we left. Then the manager and somebody else came out, to our car and we thought they were going to say oh we have some plates now come on back. But lo and behold this new gentleman that came out said we have to pay. I told them all we ate was one shrimp and run one spring roll. But he still made us pay $8. We will never come back here again. Talk about poor customer service, they have lost regular customers from now on and we'll be sure to tell our friends and family not to go there as well. read more

A gentleman at Hometown Buffet told us about this place so we thought about giving it a shot . The building is huge and can seat up to about 350 people but the room were the food is at is such a small and limited selection that if they ever did have 10% of the maximum capacity show up a majority of people would leave without even sitting down to try the food shacking there heads just like we did in disappointment. read more
