I had the most pleasant buying experience at King Kia of Laurel this week. Kristen Parris reached…read moreout to me after I filled out an online form expressing interest in my car of choice and although she wasn't immediately available when I followed up, I was so delighted to hear from a female salesperson, I waited to hear back from her, and I'm so glad I did. I had an extremely hectic week with some tricky personal and work matters and was attempting to do a lot of the legwork in advance of heading to a dealership. A large part of my preference towards doing this was the pushy and aggressive behavior I've experienced at other dealers in the past, which is super off-putting and can turn a fun experience (getting an awesome new car!) into something dreadful. Some dealers were willing to work with me in this way and others weren't. Kristen was up to the challenge. She was helpful, responsive, and flexible when there were some unusual issues with paperwork, and I appreciated how informed she was, and her willingness to own anything she wasn't completely sure of and find out for me. There is nothing worse than someone feeding you a bunch of BS because they don't know the answer, and then only finding out later that you've been given inaccurate or bad info. I wasn't concerned about this in the slightest with Kristen. Women buy 54% of the cars in the US and influence 84% of all vehicle purchase decisions. Yet most women dread the car buying experience, with good reason. After a really stressful and disappointing experience buying my last car from another local dealership, this experience really turned that around. It was such a pleasure to deal with Kristen and her colleagues. I was also helped by Derek and Ferdie (apologies for the likely misspelling) and they were great as well. Lastly, I super appreciate Kristen offering to show me around the car and familiarize me with all the new features. Although I've bought several new cars, I've never had anyone do that before and it's a total must-I was completely underutilizing all that my last car had to offer and since she took the time to do this, I know I'll get way more use out of all the fun features this time. Please give King Kia of Laurel, and especially Kristen, your business. I think you'll have a great experience.

I purchased a new 2025 Kia EV9 from this dealership a little over a year ago. The vehicle already…read morehad approximately 2,000 miles on it because it had been used by the store's general manager. We accepted the vehicle despite the high mileage because there was no other comparable vehicle available at the time, and it was eligible for the federal Clean Vehicle Tax Credit. In my opinion, vehicles intended for customers should be delivered in the best possible condition. Dealership management should not be putting extensive personal mileage on vehicles that will later be sold as new. The delivery experience was also poor. The EV was delivered without a charging cable, and I only received one after I noticed it was missing and asked for it. In addition, the trim on the right rear side of the vehicle was loose when I took delivery. It took the dealership about a month to complete that repair. The most frustrating issue has been the federal Clean Vehicle Tax Credit. The IRS has informed me that it has no record of my vehicle's sale for the Clean Vehicle Credit. I contacted King Kia of Laurel multiple times for assistance. I emailed Mr. White, the Sales Manager, over a month ago and never received a response. I also spoke with someone in the accounting department nearly two months ago, but I have still received no help. Customer service after the sale has been extremely disappointing. It's easy to be friendly when making a sale, but what matters is how customers are treated afterward. Unfortunately, I did not receive the level of professionalism or support I expected. Since then, I have purchased both a Kia K4 and a Kia Carnival from other Kia dealerships because I chose not to return to King Kia of Laurel. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership. I will not be returning for future purchases.

Review for Acura of Laurel…read more I got a new car yesterday, and I want to start by recognizing my sales agent, Haby. He was excellent throughout the process professional, respectful, helpful, knowledgeable, and very patient in answering all of my questions. He is genuinely a nice person and, honestly, Haby is the reason I would rate my overall experience as "good" and not "okay". This was my first time purchasing from Acura of Laurel, although I have had my vehicles serviced here. In the past, I have normally purchased my Acuras from Criswell Acura in Annapolis. Unfortunately, my experience at Acura of Laurel was not one that left me completely satisfied or 100% comfortable, particularly with how things were handled on the back end of the process. My concerns have nothing to do with Haby. In fact, he was the highlight of my experience. My interactions with some of the other employees, including sales staff and management, did not give me the same feeling of being valued as a customer whatsoever especially management. I also want to address my interaction with Brian Keys. While I was outside waiting for Haby to bring out a key so I could test-drive a vehicle, I had a quick question that would have taken literally 5-7 seconds to answer. I said, "Excuse me, sir," and before I could say anything else, he put his hand up and said, "No, I'm really busy right now. I don't have time for it." I found that response extremely rude and unnecessary, because what is "it" he had NO idea what I was asking in the first place. Unfortunately, this was not my first negative interaction with Brian. I had an experience with him back in 2023, when I was considering upgrading my 2020 Acura. His demeanor and the way I was treated at that time rubbed me the wrong way, and I ultimately decided not to purchase from this dealership and left and went to Annapolis Criswell Acura instead and was successful in upgrading. What was particularly disappointing yesterday was that when I first arrived, Brian was very friendly and welcoming, but his demeanor changed once he realized I already had an appointment with Haby. Regardless of whether a customer is buying from you or another salesperson, everyone should be treated with the same level of professionalism and respect. I appreciate Haby for making the purchasing process as smooth as he could. However, the overall experience outside of Haby left a lot to be desired. Based on my experience, I will most likely not return to purchase another vehicle from Acura of Laurel, nor would I currently recommend this dealership to someone looking to purchase. Management should seriously consider the way customers are treated by certain employees because one employee can absolutely impact a customer's entire perception of a dealership. Haby represented the dealership very well; unfortunately, my other interactions did not.

On June 30, 2026, I traded in my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, made a $500 down payment, and purchased a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited. The sales staff--Will, Elliott, Marcus, Lonnie, and Sam--were courteous and professional throughout the process, which I genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, the vehicle was another story. Before leaving the dealership, I discovered several issues: a non-working key fob, a third-row seat that wouldn't fold, a blown subwoofer, cosmetic defects, and missing sales paperwork. I was assured these issues would be corrected. Just days later, while traveling with my young son for the Fourth of July holiday, the check engine light came on. A diagnostic at a Jeep dealership revealed an engine misfire, an intake valve issue, corrosion in the key fob, and evidence of rodent activity under the hood. I immediately returned the vehicle because I no longer felt it was safe to drive. Over the next two weeks, I made multiple trips to the dealership, took leave from work, test-drove replacement vehicles, and repeatedly waited for promised follow-up calls that never came. Communication became inconsistent. After such frustrations, I purchased another vehicle from another trusted dealership. Despite being told my contract would be canceled, I attempted to return the loaner vehicle only to find my trade-in had already been sold. I was told to return the next day to speak with someone else. Keep in mind, I have had the loaner for three weeks without a replacement vehicle and my creditor had not been paid or informed. The next day, I called ahead and was told the sale of my trade-in had been canceled. I could pick up my 2018 Jeep, sign the paperwork to cancel my purchase, and receive a refund of my down payment. However, when I arrived, the employee I had spoken with was not there, the person handling refunds had left, and no one seemed to know why I was there. After explaining the situation again, I received my refund, signed the cancellation paperwork, and was given only one of the two keys I had turned in as part of my trade. I declined to sign the key acknowledgment because I was not receiving everything I had surrendered. I was told the person who handled the keys was also not present. Although I eventually got my original vehicle back (without two keys) and my down payment refunded, the time, stress, and inconvenience this process caused were unnecessary. I understand pre-owned vehicles can have normal wear and cosmetic imperfections, but serious mechanical problems, rodent infestation, repeated communication breakdowns, and multiple unnecessary trips to the dealership are unacceptable. While I appreciated the professionalism of several individual employees, the overall experience was frustrating, disorganized, and far below the level of service I expected. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both its vehicle inspection process and its communication with customers. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership.

I knew the Nightshade was one of the hardest trims to find, but from my very first phone call, Tyler never made me feel like finding one was out of reach. Rather than trying to steer me toward a different trim, he went above and beyond to locate and reserve the exact vehicle I wanted. What stood out most was how patient and genuine he was throughout the entire process. I had a lot of questions, and Tyler always took the time to answer them thoroughly and make sure I understood everything. I never felt rushed or pressured into making a decision. Communication was outstanding from the day I placed my deposit until the day I picked up my vehicle, including updates during the brief factory inspection hold. When I took delivery, Tyler didn't just hand me the keys. He helped me pair my phone, walked me through the vehicle's features, showed me how to open the fuel door, and even let me practice using the hands-free power liftgate until I felt comfortable. This is my second Toyota, and although I purchased my first one from a different dealership, I chose Sheehy Toyota of Laurel solely because of my experience with Tyler. After this experience, I can't imagine buying my next Toyota anywhere else. Tyler will definitely be my first call. Thank you, Tyler, for making what could have been a stressful process such an enjoyable one!

They did not keep us updated , nor cared how long we drive to get there, and that we had an appointment. Once we walked to our car to leave, they decided to take the white couple that was awaiting behind us. We knew because when we started our car, we saw the attendant get them ready for a test drive. This was the worst customer service ever and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this location to anyone. Very inconsiderate and no customer service! I dropped my vehicle off the night before so it would be ready when the service department opened at 7:30 a.m. By 11:00 a.m., no one had contacted me, so I called. I was told my service advisor was unavailable and that someone would call me back. That never happened. Over the next 2 1/2 hours, I called the dealership eight times. One call was disconnected, one went to voicemail, and on the remaining calls I was repeatedly told someone would get back to me. No one ever did. When I finally reached someone, I was told they "didn't have time" to look at my vehicle, despite the fact that I had a scheduled appointment. I was also told that my 8:00 a.m. appointment "didn't matter" and that they would get to my vehicle whenever they got to it. If appointments are not honored, customers should be told that up front instead of being left waiting all day with no communication. I picked up my vehicle without any work being performed. As they began explaining what they believed the issue was, I reminded them that I had already told them exactly what the problem was when I scheduled the appointment. Had anyone simply looked at the vehicle or communicated with me, the repair could likely have been completed that day. I understand that staffing shortages happen, but poor communication and failing to honor scheduled appointments are not acceptable. A simple phone call early in the day explaining the delay would have made a significant difference. Unfortunately, this experience left me with little confidence in the dealership's service department.
