I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership on January 13, 2026, and this has been one of the…read moremost frustrating post-sale experiences I've had. Within two weeks, my check engine light came on. When I brought it in for service, I asked whether the vehicle had received a tune-up either before the dealership acquired it or while it was on their lot. No one could give me a clear answer. Instead of repairing anything, the existing ignition coils were simply moved around as a diagnostic step, and I was sent on my way with no real resolution. At the time of purchase, I also spoke with the General Manager, Sean, about a missing interior button. I was told the part would be ordered and that I would be contacted. I never received any follow-up. I paid for my registration and permanent tags at the time of sale, but weeks went by with no updates. I had to repeatedly reach out myself just to get basic information. My salesman, Keyvon, and manager, Johnny, were aware of the situation, but communication remained reactive instead of proactive. I later found out the delay was due to a lien through Ally and a title transfer from Virginia. I understand that process can take time, but this was never explained upfront -- I had to track that information down myself after weeks of follow-up. Because of the delays, I ended up dealing with an insurance flag that had to be cleared through the MVA. I had to go to the MVA and coordinate with my insurance to resolve it. When I spoke with Stephanie about the issue, the interaction was unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of helping, I was told that if things were not handled by the following week, I would simply be given the title without tags -- after already waiting months. I also attempted to contact Sean directly after seeing him respond to reviews encouraging customers to reach out. I left a voicemail and never received a return call, and I still never received any follow-up regarding the missing interior moon roof button either. At every stage of this process, I had to follow up and chase answers myself. What should have been routine post-sale service felt completely disorganized and unnecessarily difficult. Update: Permanent tags received on April 3, 2026. Total time from purchase (January 13, 2026) to receiving tags: almost 12 weeks.

The lease terms were meant to match a deal my friend received. After following up multiple times, I was told on the morning of July 7 that the delivery had been delayed until July 15--with no VIN, allocation details, or any assurance it would actually arrive. When I asked about the delay, the response was vague and dismissive. I was told, "We can't do anything about it," and they even offered to refund my deposit mid-conversation without addressing my concerns. This entire interaction left me feeling like I was misled into placing a deposit so they could lock me out of the end-of-quarter and July 4th lease deals while pushing other inventory. I expected better communication and professionalism from an Acura dealership. Very disappointing experience.

I've been a loyal customer of this dealership's service department for nearly nine years (since…read moretheir Tischer days), and until recently, I've always felt confident bringing my vehicles here. Unfortunately, the quality of service has declined noticeably in the past year or so, which has been disappointing given my long history with their team. I understand that new vehicles can sometimes have issues early on, but it's been frustrating to repeatedly bring up problems just to be told nothing's wrong--only to later confirm that there is. Having to record these issues on my phone just to demonstrate that something isn't working as it should isn't on par with the level of service I've come to expect. To be fair, they did ultimately replace the starter on my new car after it started randomly leaving me stranded, but the process took several visits and a lot of back-and-forth before the issue was fully resolved. I've always accepted that servicing here costs more than at other shops, but it was discouraging to receive a quote nearly double what Honda charges for a comparable timing belt service and to be told to "go to Honda" when I asked them to first fix one of the many other warranty-covered issues --especially after multiple unsuccessful attempts to fix them. While my advisor has always been professional and respectful, I feel that when issues become complicated or require extra attention, there's a tendency to dismiss or defer rather than fully resolve them. I would prefer to get this all resolved through the dealership, and hopefully continue servicing here, but I'm not optimistic about it and would not recommend Acura of Laurel at this point.

If you're looking for outstanding customer service and a smooth funding experience then look not…read morefurther! (Quick back story) we had spend hours the day prior (Saturday) at another dealership and received a low offer on our trade, we put a 4Runner on hold and decided to wait to look at a BZ with the intent to return Monday since that dealer is closed Sundays, which gave us time to get an appraisal. Sunday we decided to get a CarMax appraisal just to feel more prepared with numbers and saw Sheehy across the street and open. Now, back to Sheehy Toyota; Moe was outstanding, when hubs and I walked up, we expected the typical salesman intro, not with Moe, he was personable and fun right off the bat. We went in to test drive the BZ to get a feel for what an electric car was all about, we weren't disappointed. We also inquired about a better model 4Runner they had and gave that a test drive also. We decided to proceed with both! So, onto the dreaded negotiations part I think we all dislike, right? Well, with Moe it was refreshingly short and simple. Moe explained they work offers based off carmax so we pulled out our appraisal which was accepted without issue, Moe and his manager provided great incentives and ultimately got us to a place where we felt comfortable moving forward. I've purchased a lot of cars and this purchase stood out from the moment we walked onto the lot to the warm muffins offered to keep the hangry away. Every interaction was pleasant and without ever feeling pressured to add on products and the atmosphere was fun (as fun as a dealership can be) Hats off to Moe and everyone involved, we love our new vehicles!

Found this out days afterwards and then had to go back to fix and the person could not drive the car due to this error. Second, no registration or the sticker showing information, for the windshield. Son had to go to MVA to find out that Sheehy Toyota has these items. NEVER did Sheehy Toyota call to let us know and the waiting period is a day away. Again, they don't proofread. Check your VIN against the paperwork they give you!!! This could have been on purpose since the first issue was dealt with the manager and a free tank of gas for the distance. Just saying.

However, when we got there, all of a sudden they wanted our son to talk to the bank, then they wanted a down payment, then a co-signer. I came in and Amar was nowhere to be found, then I found out that the info given to me was incorrect and they wouldn't take my trade. he set me up with someone named Jonathan who was late coming in to meet me, he then got quickly sidetracked with other customers, another rep named Eden was just giving me hints to leave if I didn't have a co-signer, I eventually got a co-signer, they ran my credit with Equifax about seven times, then went onto my transunion and ran that three times as well. I then met with someone named Wes, and he started to ask me questions I told him that I was not looking for a car over $15,000, he then asked me why, I said im a student then went on to raise his voice and say that the banks wouldn't approve me on a lower loan and that they were pretty much planning a repo( by trying to get me into a car that I couldn't afford hoping id default on my loan) and that they'd want their money back. so I left, do not go here if you are looking for a car and have a set range under $20,000 they will play in your face and insult you.

I had the car scheduled for a diagnostic with the manufacturer, and after the initial test drive, the service manager, immediately confirmed that there were in fact several issues with the vehicle. Carmax Laurel, did not offer to do a diagnostic test on my vehicle before I cancelled my contract. I was told that because the other store emailed the paperwork for return, that it was their mission to process the return and help me find a new vehicle as quickly as possible. 3 hours later, I began test driving new replacement vehicles in hopes of finding the right car for me. The first vehicle that I test drove, had low tire pressure lights on when I started the car to drive. The second vehicle had not been cleaned. There was in fact a half smoked blunt (filled with marijuana) in the passenger door. There was also, broken glass in the trunk of the car. I was outraged! How unprofessional and wildly inappropriate is it for the car not to have been deeply cleaned and detailed? Also, can you imagine if I would have been pulled over? The management team was apologetic. They offered to buy my lunch for up to $25 and they provided me a Lyft to my destination. The following day, the salesman I was working with never called me with an additional apology, he never presented me with any other car options that would meet my needs, and to date he hasn't said a word. I did hear from the service manager Debbie, and one of the sales managers, Steve. They both expressed apologies and offered to help me find another vehicle. I still don't have a car. I am waiting on a transfer from another store. At this point the level of unprofessionalism and the fact that cars are not serviced, or cleaned makes me want to walk away from Carmax all together. I am outraged and very disappointed in my experience.

The communication was not what I was used to and could be because I had someone else. In the past, I have always had pumpkin, who kept me informed every step of the way. I did not have to wonder how long it would take for my car to be done because she would keep me posted. This last time around I was told it would take less than 1.5 hours but took much longer than expected. Know that I would have dropped off the vehicle and picked it up later. I had to ask on the status, instead of being told. Moreover, when it came time to make the payment, I had to wait and even when I went outside I had to wait for my car, I waited for more than 15 minutes. I had to go inside not once but twice to inquire on the whereabouts of my vehicle. I used to be very pleased with this dealership, but now I am unsure if I'm going back. It is not good business ethic to go from providing great customer service to a lack of. I recommend the business provide better customer service training to its employees and go back to the time customers were kept informed from the time they drop off the car to the pick up time.
