    Tres Leches with flan

I stopped here for dinner Labor Day 2022, 2 weeks after they opened. For $3.35 I got a very small bowl of yellow queso. It looked like something canned with some peppers mixed in. Not much flavor. All burritos and several of other items were marked out on the menu, so I ordered a plate of three enchiladas. Choice was chicken or cheese. I asked for two cheese and one chicken. Was told they couldn't do that. Food was fresh but nothing special. Tres Leche with Flan was good but pricey at $6.99. I would stop here again only for the bakery.

As you enter the restaurant, you'll note the dining room is quite plain, but it's clean, comfortable, and the atmosphere is very friendly

Service was terrible...chips were chewy and food was not all that great. I will not be returning.

This place was *PACKED*! We sat on the patio and I didn't even go inside to get my drinks - I just waited for the waitress to come outside. Fast forward almost a year later... A friend and I were looking for a chill place to get a drink on a Tuesday night. I didn't want to see anybody I knew from anywhere for any reason. So we came here. There was maybe five other people in the bar. Nice and dark inside, cool couches, awesome art and coffee shop-style tables for two or three. Excellent selection of high-end liquor. I ordered a Knob Creek and water, a drink I would never consider ordering anywhere else, a.) because most bars don't carry Knob Creek, and b.) because I usually visit cheap bars to pound drink specials and get out of the house. I really think of this as the coffee shop of bars. It's a place to sip on a nice drink and have an actual conversation, instead of yelling over Kid Rock on the jukebox. A little on the pricey side, but the drinks all come in doubles glasses and the ambiance is cool when it's not packed. I will be back soon, but not on a weekend night.

That should have been my first warning about this place. It's a cute bar but they are dishonest about their prices. The white wine I asked for was $9 on the menu. When I asked my server when I got the first bill I thought happy hour was going on she said " It might be applied to just our house wines." Then, when I pointed out there was a discrepancy on the menu vs. the first bill I received she looked at it and said " Well that might be because the register automatically just applied that charge to the bill". I ended up paying for the happy hour payment after all. It just seems sketchy she hiked up the price for one glass of wine.

The cocktails were excellent and the food was delicious. I ordered the Pecan Goldie, served in a martini glass--a sweeter take on an Old Fashioned. Next was the Bomb City Cosmo, another refreshing cocktail also served in a martini glass. We ordered appetizers and dinner, and everything was great. The menu comes from Toscana Italian restaurant upstairs, and we enjoyed every dish. For appetizers, we had the spinach artichoke dip and pretzel bites--very creamy, and the pretzel bites were warm and delicious. We also tried two salads: the BLT Wedge Salad and the Shaved Brussels Sprout Parmesan Salad. Both were hearty and very filling. We finished with the chocolate pistachio cake, which was a delightful dessert. Happy Hour: Their website advertises $6 liquor Monday through Friday from 5-7 PM. However, the bartender didn't seem to honor it, saying happy hour is upstairs--though that's not what the website states. He did make it right by charging only for two drinks, which equaled the price of the three drinks that should have been on happy hour. Hopefully they begin honoring the posted happy hour pricing. Overall, this was an excellent experience, and I look forward to returning. Evelyn, our server, was very attentive and kind throughout our visit.

My favorite taco was the Asada, then barbacoa, Al Pastor, Chicken and then beef (it's ground beef do you expect anything different, lol) . My first meal I had was the Mexican burger and was blown away on how juicy it was and how the ingredients complimented each other. The Asada Nachos were so good I wanted more, loved the crisp and freshness of the dish. I never had the "Chorro Beans" and when it was described to me I was like "Oh bean soup" and Julez chuckled at me. Let me tell you, that Bean soup was so good, the heat along with flavor complimented the dish well. I wanted more but glad for the portion as it allowed me to have the chicken fried steak which I was surprised on how tender and flavorful the sandwich. It tasted like the bread was thrown on a buttered griddle and when the mayo was spread on it along with the grease of the steak it was a match made in heaven. The biggest surprise to me was the "Elote Ribs", so flavorful and if it wasn't for the mayo it be a great vegan option. I ended my trip with the "Texas Old Fashioned", Julez hooked it up and it was amazing. First time ever having the Texas Whiskey. Thank you for Great food and Vibes. -JT
