We have tried several entrees and the cucumber lime agua fresca from the Whittier location, and have been impressed with everything (except the rice, not so good) we have had to date. To start, for those who miss the cucumber limeade from Cilantros Tacos, Fuego Cravings has a really good cucumber lime agua fresca that is a great replacement. The food had been consistently good, we have always ordered delivery and have not had issues with food quality, appearance or temperature of each order. We have had street tacos with carne asada, carnitas, and chicken, and although all three are good, I prefer the carnitas. The fish taco is a healthy portion of fish with a very flavorful, creamy chipotle sauce that adds a nice little hint of spice. The Campechano Taco is really good, but rich/very savory. The birria mulita is good and flavorful but keep in mind that it does not come with any consume on the side. The birria ramen is excellent, but for takeout, I recommend asking for the ramen noodles on the side, since they were a little overcooked on the delivery. Finally, the surf-and-turf bowl is the bomb! It's a good portion of shrimp and meat (we got the carne asada), but it feels like a lighter meal. Be aware that this one is a little spicier than the fish taco, but it's so worth it. read more

The food is fresh, plentiful, and great tasting. The prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this place.

First time going was an OK experience, especially since it was Cinco de Mayo. Place was clean and workers were great and fast with the food being delivered to our table. 3 of us (all Latino who eat homemade Mexican each week) each ordered the 3-taco plate that comes with rice, beans & drink. 1 was chorizo, the other was carnitas and mine was the birria. In all three plates the rice was a bit undercooked and crunchy, beans could have been hotter with more cheese on top but sufficed. The birria tacos were good but no consume to dip, the carnitas and chorizo were average. The drinks were extremely good and not to sweet but had great flavor. I might consider going back but only if someone else was paying for the food, me, one and done is good enough. read more

Tasty food and staff are amazing. Also there's self ordering kiosk with pictures of food. Know before you order.

Daughter and I went on Sunday evening. Staff was very friendly and were good with clearing the table.] but had to ask for forks after bringing the food without them. We had agua frescas - pineapple, tasty but probably could use more fruit in the blend. We each had a birria taco. We enjoyed them and added the extra consome. We shared a chilaquiles bowl with asada... probably should have opted for plate because there was too much beans and not a lot of chilaquiles. However, it was tasty and asada was tender. Side order of rice - good. I did not even see the service fee until after. I thought it was because of using credit card. I don't care for that practice. read more

The food is delicious and little spicy... just enough to make my taste buds happy and the service was excellent, very knowledgeable of the food and ingredients, the Cafe de Olla was so tasty and rich. The ambience was relaxing and welcoming and to top it off.... The churros were so delicious and crunchy sooo yummy read more

I love coming here for their fish tacos. They are the size of my hand and so flaky. I think 2 of these would get me full because of how massive they are. I also like that they do surf and turf here because steak and shrimp just belong together. I thought the birria was good but their consommé was a little lacking. read more

My coworker and I came across this birria restaurant during lunch time and decided to give it try. There are many items on the menu and we were not sure what to order. Thanks to this lad Raul that worked there and he helped us browse around and explore the menu. I was feeling something brothy, so we eventually decided on birria ramen , 2 tacos (fish, asada) and a quesadilla. Food was fire and did not disappoint at all ! Nice choice of music that they are playing in the air as well. Not to mention Raul came check on us few times while we were there, all the staffs were super friendly, which made us feel very welcome the whole time we were there. I would definitely come back another time to try other things on the menu. Highly recommended to anyone that wants to try delish Mexican food. read more

Man, not sure if we caught an off day but what a disappointment for our first (and last) time trying it. We ordered for take out and what went right is that the food was ready on time and the guy I grabbed it from was nice. Everything else: 2 birria tacos resembled flavorless pot roast, 1 was too fatty to even eat Burrito bowl - asada was super dry - 2 bites in and my wife gave up Cheese quesadilla - super grainy and the cheese wasn't even melted through - Thrown in the trash Asada burrito was the only thing eaten all the way through because it was average. We had to make my wife and daughter dinner from home. Rereading the issues we had, I really sound like I'm slamming the restaurant. I'm not trying to, we really enjoy Mexican food and eat it once or twice a week, but there was not one good item in our order that we'd consider going back for. I hope this is uncharacteristic of them, but it was bad enough that we wouldn't consider returning. read more

Service is great. Food is great, especially with products with burria & carne asada. Ambiance is nice, places to sit inside and out. Inside seating is limited so, be aware if it is busy and you want to eat inside. Good vibes overall would come again read more

Ordered the Whittier burrito, when I got it noticed how heavy the bag was so I was hoping it would have a good protein:carb ratio. When I opened it at home and took a bite it was very carb heavy. Unfortunately for 2025 even for $15 thats just the way things are (especially at chains) If they have a double protein option I'd pay extra because paying close to $20 after tax and tip what's $5 more to have an amazing burrito. Also, I almost didn't go because the yelp page said validated parking. I thought it was like the Quest diagnostic parking lot. I'm not gonna pay for parking in Whittier to get a burrito. Good thing I checked street view read more

I was really looking forward to trying this new spot in Whittier, especially with Cilantro closing. I had high hopes this new spot might be a good replacement. I haven't been inside the restaurant yet, but I did order online to give it a try. Unfortunately, the asada burrito was disappointing. I know it may not be their specialty, but since it's on the menu, I expected better. The steak was dry, the beans were bland, and while it said it had cheese, I could barely tell. I honestly only took a few bites before tossing it, so I didn't even think to take a picture. Not sure yet if I'll give them another shot, but maybe I'll try something they're known for next time, if there is a next time. read more

Friendly service and good food, however the portions are too small for the prices paid. The meat on the torta was very little, the panela cheese was paper thin. Tomatoes also so thin you could barely taste them. Husband compared the torta bread to a Panera panini... The street dog, on the other hand, was delicious; highly recommended. read more

Fuego Cravings - Birra Burrito Special - Tacos Near Me - Whittier, California

The best chilaquiles!!! The service is excellent! I would recommend this place every time!

I went twice to this location for burritos because I decided to give them a second chance. The burritos are not even rolled properly, they seem to be lacking filling and when you do bite into it it's mainly beans and rice with the least amount of meat. The meat is full of fat and hard parts. Not edible in my opinion. I even asked for green sauce in the burritos when ordering and of course they missed it again. (My order was to go so I could not mention it) but when you call they don't answer either. I asked for lemons and radishes and the girl literally gave me 1 slice of lemon. I spent around $40 for 2 burritos and 2 can sodas. Do not waste your time or money. There are better options on Whittier Blvd. read more
