I went twice to this location for burritos because I decided to give them a second chance. The burritos are not even rolled properly, they seem to be lacking filling and when you do bite into it it's mainly beans and rice with the least amount of meat. The meat is full of fat and hard parts. Not edible in my opinion. I even asked for green sauce in the burritos when ordering and of course they missed it again. (My order was to go so I could not mention it) but when you call they don't answer either. I asked for lemons and radishes and the girl literally gave me 1 slice of lemon. I spent around $40 for 2 burritos and 2 can sodas. Do not waste your time or money. There are better options on Whittier Blvd. read more

I love coming here for their fish tacos. They are the size of my hand and so flaky. I think 2 of these would get me full because of how massive they are. Friendly service and good food, however the portions are too small for the prices paid. The meat on the torta was very little, the panela cheese was paper thin. Maaaaaaan. Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally did today. What was I waiting for?! Absolutely delicious! Got some quesabirria tacos along with some asada tacos and some rice and beans. It really was fuego. Outstanding taste, nice and hot, and the beans even reminded me of the old El Oso beans I used to get as a kid. Man, not sure if we caught an off day but what a disappointment for our first (and last) time trying it. We ordered for take out and what went right is that the food was ready on time and the guy I grabbed it from was nice. Everything else: 2 birria tacos resembled flavorless pot roast, 1 was too fatty to even eat Burrito bowl - asada was super dry - 2 bites in and my wife gave up Cheese quesadilla - super grainy and the cheese wasn't even melted through - Thrown in the trash Asada burrito was the only thing eaten all the way through because it was average. We had to make my wife and daughter dinner from home. Rereading the issues we had, I really sound like I'm slamming the restaurant. I'm not trying to, we really enjoy Mexican food and eat it once or twice a week, but there was not one good item in our order that we'd consider going back for. My coworker and I came across this birria restaurant during lunch time and decided to give it try. There are many items on the menu and we were not sure what to order. Thanks to this lad Raul that worked there and he helped us browse around and explore the menu. I was feeling something brothy, so we eventually decided on birria ramen , 2 tacos (fish, asada) and a quesadilla. Food was fire and did not disappoint at all ! Nice choice of music that they are playing in the air as well. Unfortunately for 2025 even for $15 thats just the way things are (especially at chains) If they have a double protein option I'd pay extra because paying close to $20 after tax and tip what's $5 more to have an amazing burrito. I was really looking forward to trying this new spot in Whittier, especially with Cilantro closing. I had high hopes this new spot might be a good replacement. I haven't been inside the restaurant yet, but I did order online to give it a try. Unfortunately, the asada burrito was disappointing. I know it may not be their specialty, but since it's on the menu, I expected better. The steak was dry, the beans were bland, and while it said it had cheese, I could barely tell. First time at Fuego. It is a small restaurant with approx. 8-12 tables inside and 4-5 tables outside. You will order at the counter and food will be brought to your table. My hubby ordered the Birria taquitos, which includes 4 taquitos with some consome. I ordered one Campache taco, which is a taco filled with chopped carne asada mixed with chorizo, on two corn tortillass. Also ordered one shrimp taco. Hubby's Birria taquitos were delicious, great Birria flavor.I loved the Campeche taco and would definitely order again. I would pass on the shrimp taco. To had way to much sauce on it and the shrimp was lost in all the sauce. To drink I had a cucumber lime agua Fresca and it was just perfect. Great cucumber and lime flavor, refreshing and not too sweet. The service was good, staff seems friendly. Look forward to a second visit and trying the Birria ramen or Birria queso tacos. First off, the restaurant is clean and staff was friendly. The tacos were tasty and the salsas had a little kick to them. The burrito was big, and stuffed with tasty beans and a chili relleno. I watched Fuego Cravings with anticipation while it was under construction. A couple of weeks after they opened I placed a large order via Uber eats. Fuego Cravings forgot to include 2 of the Birria Tacos in the order, didn't make the Quesabirria & the Taquitos the way they were ordered and didn't apologize when I called to inform them. I had to re-order the Birria Tacos and when I tasted them I realized I wasted my time and money. I had to pay 2 Delivery Fees and 2 Tips. The Birria Tacos were Bland and tasted like Shredded Beef with a slight hint of some spices. The Birria Ramen was the most flavorful of the items we ordered - due to having a lot of Consome. At these prices and such a large order you would think that they would include at least some Consome for the Birria Tacos. The Taquitos were passable, but arrived cold. The Quesabirria was equally bland as the Birria Tacos. I was hoping that Fuego Cravings would be great as I miss the Teddy's Tacos that was in town.
