My 8 year old son and I went on a New Year's Eve date, and this was our first time coming here. There's some positive and some negative in this review. First, the front of the house staff woman was very helpful and nice, and second, most items on the menu were competitively priced, except for the kids very limited menu, it was over-priced. Third, I ordered the burrito especial, and asked for the beans and rice to be on the side instead of inside of the burrito, which they did for me. The burrito tasted great, but the rice and beans were cold and the rice was burnt. Fourth, my son ordered the cheese quesadilla, which had the perfect amount of cheese inside, but his rice was burnt and cold as well. And finally, fifth, the restaurant itself was a little shabby, and you ordered at the register, which I didn't like, that made me feel as though I was ordering something at a convenience store. I ordered the Quesabirria Taco plate over the phone. I clarified that it was the tacos with the consume. When my husband arrived, he asked my husband if I wanted the plate, to which my husband replied yes (because the tacos alone do not come with rice and beans). When we got home it was just birria. So when I sent him back, he argued with my husband and has to pay for a whole new plate. We would have just even taken the just the tacos. This spot has a lot of variety! We tried a little bit of everythjng, so hear we go! We got a street dog with jalapeños, nacho cheese and corn - not bad, but not great. We got a carne asada and al pastor street taco - carne asada was good, al pastor not so much. We got the quesabirria with consume.. pretty good! We have tried to leave notes in EVERY item we order and still not once do they add salsa. This place is good I would definitely come back! I like that you can check and see their menu on their website before you go. The service is excellent it was my first time here; they were patient with me answered any questions I had and made recommendations as well. My favorite things that I would highly recommend getting are the quesabirria taco and the consome. The taco was delicious it's a soft taco but was grilled to perfection outside so it's firm enough to hold its structure and all of the deliciousness inside and it was crunchy. Inside tender juicy birria, ooey gooey cheese, onions and greens. Sounds so simple but a delightful combination and dip it in the consome for a "cherry on top" experience. The consome was so rich, flavorful, and spicy but a spice kick that I loved and craved more of! If you want to try new drinks I suggest trying their aguas frescas of the day I tried horchata and it was orange/pineapple they were both nice light, refreshing, affordable, and not too sweet. The only bad things I would say is that the food portions were all very small for the price point and I would skip on the following items: -skip street tacos I tried the carne asada (pay extra $.50) and the al pastor but they were both ok, dry, and lacking pizzazz -skip fish tacos It was disappointing the fish was small oddly rectangle shaped and not crunchy the cabbage,pico de gallo, and chipotle crema didn't add anything to it just sounds fancy. Overpriced to the max. Way too expensive for amounts to just stay so-so street taco. If you go for a basic meal of street taco-ish kind of stuff is way overpriced. My wife like their chilaquiles though! Only thing that would improve it if the prices come down to something reasonable on that stuff, or they switch up their recipes to make it the BEST in town- outside of that, it ain't worth it. The first few time I visited I was very pleased. My hard shell chicken tacos were exactly what to wanted so this was my new spot. Picked up for to go once and saw less than an A on the window, needless to say that was the last visit for a long time. I gave it months to maintain the A status before I returned. The first visit back the service was awful. I felt like such an inconvenience. But the food was good and the green salsa is my favorite. Fast forward a week or so and did a to go order for my daughter and grab more yummy green salsa. She was very pleased. We go back this week, service was horrible again took FOREVER to just get chips and salsa and her carne asada tacos which she ordered last time were different. We tried to see what the difference was and all we got was, "well this is the same recipe for 30 years"....:my point is obviously there was something different one of the times considering she ordered the same thing. I will stick to my chicken tacos and to go. I will not continue to visit an establishment who clearly does not care about service. Can I tell you how much I love the food here? I mean, it's so damn good! From the tacos, to the quesadillas, the birria, the burritos, the nachos, so many excellent choices to be had here. And their salsa is on point to boot. And if that weren't enough, their aguas frescas are pretty damn good too. The food alone deserves a four-star, if not five-star rating. But unfortunately, a rating isn't just based on the food alone. Their prices have gone up considerably since they've opened -- I don't recall when exactly they opened, but it was at least a few months before the pandemic hit. Prices of course have gone up nearly everywhere but their price increases hit pretty hard, which was unfortunate as FC is 100% one of my favorite places to eat. I get it, it's the cost of doing business but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. Also frustrating is that when you order birria anything, the consome isn't included in the price. You pay an extra $1 for a 4oz cup of consome. On that note, they also charge a small fee (it was .50 the last time I was there) to use a card to pay. So take it for what it's worth. Fantastic food, but the prices are a little steeper than I'm accustomed to for Mexican food. Would absolutely be a four-star but the prices drive the overall rating down. read more

Went on a Friday night. Live music is so damn loud I don't know how anyone can enjoy their food. Most importantly, my party and I ordered food to go. We are missing a $5.99 shrimp taco. Called and called and called, but no answer. This food is expensive as fuxk for the amount and quality of food. I'd much rather get the food from the street vendors nearby.
