The food is okay, but its pricy and the service is not so-organized, we asked for wasabi for our appetizers, but we got it after we have told three different servers. The worst thing is we had a guy who served us (2 ppl) but silently added party service fee on our bill, so please make sure you check your bill before you add more tips on it. read more

Fu-Ki - Entrance decoration. - Japanese Near Me - Hayden, Idaho

Terrible customer service. No where does it recommend to have reservations on a Saturday night. We went there for my sons birthday and got turned away when they said that we can't take you until 7:15pm and we were there right at 5pm, only to hear the staff talking that a party of 6 was late to there reservation. So why not have a party of 5 that's willing to pay right then and there be seated and guarantee to make money versus lose money on a party of 6 that was late and possibly not showing up. I know I am only one of many that will patronize the place, but after today they lost my business and will not return. read more

We took our family out for a mini celebration of an end of a semester for them with good grades and it was an overall bad experience. Our daughter got a sushi roll and her food came out 30 minutes after everyone else's and that was because I complained and her order jumped a few. The teriyaki chicken was tough and very chewy. The service was also very bad. There were three hostesses working and one waitress and we rarely saw her. Then when we went to pay we had a gift card that we were told didn't work there because it was for the Post Falls store. That I would have been able to handle if the food and service was even average. But instead it was the icing on the cake. We won't be back and I will be giving the gift card away. read more

A lot of great product for a very reasonable price. Plus you have the Benihana type tables for fun family events. Sushi sashimi combos are a bargain. I've enjoyed three meals there and plan to return. Thanks read more

Our chef was very entertaining! Scallops were delicious and chicken was very dry and not very flavorful. A fun experience!

So we love the one in post falls. This one is a bit different. Why would you not have spicy mustard. And why would you switch it for thousand island dressing. That sucked. The cook was great but could not understand 1 word. read more

did not bring out rice till finished eating dinner. ordered steam rice. guess we aren't special enough to get it like the normal fried rice people. Was finally asked if I wanted a refill AFTER I was done eating. my beer was gone before my food was done. or my rice lol. read more

I would not recommend. We never got a roll even though we asked for it 3 times. The waitress didn't apologize and had her hostess deal with the missing roll instead of herself. We waited an hour and half for our other rolls to come out. We were never checked on. They then took forever to get our tickets to us and tried charging for the missing roll. I told them they needed to take it off since we didn't get it. They came back with the new ticket and a smiley face "we took that roll off for you" as if they did something nice for us. Definitely won't be going back. read more

Good service, good people. The problem is, the sushi is generic and they use way too much rice, the fish should be the star. I felt like I was eating cafeteria sushi, but at least they can poor me a decent sapporo. Come here for a beer and a nice environment but don't expect anything from the food. read more

A new restaurant opened up in Hayden and I really liked it we went and had sushi which was fantastic. They have the hibachi grills or you can sit at the sushi bar. We went when they first open the business so there was a little bit of patients needed for the staff but they did a great job! read more

I am just reviewing there sushi as that's what we had and I was very disappointed as they use a lot of imitation products and were very slow the night we came. We did notice that the iron chef was keeping his table very happy with entertainment and look fun we will come back to just try that. read more

Love this place! We always sit at the grill and the chefs never fail to entertain and serve up delicious food!

Service was terrible. If you need something like, forks, water, a take-out box, a beer, prepare to ask your waiter/ waitress 3 different times. I even asked multiple staff for these items and they all somehow forgot within walking 3 feet away from our table. We even order another 6 piece roll before we were done but the food was taking sooo long we left without it. Not one of the staff was apologizing or trying to better the situation, all they had to say was that they were slammed when the restaurant wasn't even 1/4 filled. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but after some time i was just cringing at the lack of hospitality. Food was expensive and just ok. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere but they need serious training for their staff. Also no manager was seen at all. read more

Took my husband and 4 kiddos here and the service was amazing, the chef was amazing, and th food was delicious. The best hibachi/sushi I've been to in a long time. The waiter and the chef were so kind to my children, talked to them, and made them laugh so hard. For it being my children's first time to a hibachi grill they had a memorable time here. The staff was so kind and happy it made the atmosphere perfect. I can't wait to eat here again! read more

WORST FOOD AND SERVICE EVER! Took an entire hour to get our food. When we did get it the orders were all wrong. So we waited another 30 mins for our correct food which never came and we had to leave by then for another event. Forfeited an entire $14 roll we already paid for, never got a miso soup and paid a total of $100 for some fish that was....to be honest less than fresh. Do not go here unless you want to waste your time and money and possibly risk food poisoning read more

The sushi here is good. It's nothing wow worthy but it is worth coming back for. It was falling apart more than sushi does normally, but I'll attribute that to the rush they were currently in while we were there. As for the staff, they were hit and miss. Some of them seemed like they had no patience while others were very polite to us. I would consider coming back. It's a friendly enough environment I would bring my 6 month old comfortably to the sushi side. read more

Great addition to Hayden. We really enjoy the food and the experience! We've been multiple times - ordered chicken, steak, lobster, shrimp, sushi, etc. and it's all good. My only complaint is that we usually have to wait for extended periods even with a reservation. read more

We used to visit here a little while back, but something happened and it felt like the food quality went downhill. It used to be pretty decent, but now it's just plain mediocre. The inside is really nice, and our waitress was pretty good as well. The food is what makes the score only three stars. The sushi wasn't anything special, and the spicy mayo is just not good, it was almost sour-like. The chicken teriyaki wasn't sweet, the vegetables that came with it were too salty, and the fried was greasy and passable. We got mochi ice cream afterwards, but that wasn't any good either. It looked pretty, cut into four pieces and had whipped cream and chocolate sauce. But the mochi itself was dry and chunky when you chew it. Gross. Mochi is supposed to be soft and chewey, not taste like it sat around for two days. Maybe it did.... but I digress. Store bought is much better and way cheaper. I really like how they carry ramune, I don't yet know of other Japanese restaurants that offer them unfortunately. But what a shame that the quality is so down compared to a year ago or so. read more

Disappointed with our visit tonight. i come into Fuki pretty often as it has been one of our favorite places to go. We got in right at 5 pm when they opened and when we were being seated I asked if it was ok to order off of the hibachi grill and the hostess said yes. when I asked our server to swap our sushi menus out for hibachi menus she said that normally they limit orders for the hibachi grill to 3. We had 4(2 adults, 2 kids) I questioned her on it because I have never been told that we could be limited to how many entrees we could order. she brought 3 dishes out when they were ready and then waited about about 10 mins to get the last dish which was a vegetarian dish so no meat was cooked on it. After eating half of the veggie dish I felt what seemed to be a hair in my mouth and then examined my plate and saw a few more pieces, some of which looked like blonde, frayed, burnt hair. I said something to the server and she went back and talked with the chef and came back to tell me that the chef is "pretty sure" that it's just part of the bamboo shoot. then handed me the bill. when I find a hair in my food and they come back saying they're "pretty sure" it's something else is not acceptable. There was nothing done to make it right. I felt like we should have just went somewhere else after it was made to seem like an inconvenience that we ordered 4 entrees instead of 3. read more

Friendly service. They were willing to make my sushi roll without ingredients I'm allergic to. Great value, fresh and delicious.

Great new building! Food and service average at best! Lots of potential! Not going back anytime soon

Went here tonight to celebrate a birthday. The place was not busy. We had to wait close to 20 minutes to be approached by our waitress. Gave our order. One meal was delivered timely, asked about the other and was told it would be out soon. Watched as many other meals were served elsewhere. Finally asked another waitress to check on our order and heard her being told by the chef that it was never submitted. Our original waitress returned and I asked her where out second meal was. She said that a party had many orders of California Rolls to be served. These people were seated about 10 minutes after us. She had lied to us. When other orders were delivered after this conversation, we left. This is the 2nd time I have had truly bad service at this restaurant. Never again. I will never return, being lied to was completely unacceptable. Everything here was confirmed by the manager who looked at time stamps on our order.. read more

Three couples went for dinner. Waited for 30 minutes to get a server then after ordering waited another 30 mins. to receive marginal meals all cold. Staff said they were just real busy..... When the bills came (3 individual bills) we added a polite tip and all placed it on our charge cards. After realizing that the group tip had already been placed on my bill I asked the server to recharge the bill with the correct amount with only the group tip. I received a copy and signed it. The server stated the original bill wouldn't be processed. When I received my Cr Card statement I noted the original charge had been used and not the corrected on. I contacted Traci, the manager and she stated that she only had the original receipt with the higher amount charged. I explained to Traci that the server Marygrace either made and error or just plain defrauded me. Tracy stated that the owner would not do anything about it and she couldn't either. I contacted my Credit Card company and they stated they would correct it on my behalf and place the business on a watch. CAUTION! Not only was the food and service marginal but watch out for unscrupulous owner, management and servers! WE WON'T BE BACK THERE AGAIN !!! read more

The food is awesome.. but service made it slide on the review scale. I understand how short staffed everyone is.. nevertheless do not then fill every single table and then make us wait over an hour!! They forgot to make some of our order and then said.. oh well.. not what I experienced in the past. Praying they finds better servers quick! read more

Great atmosphere. Get reservations if you want to sit at a grill. Very fun staff and they are all very friendly and helpful. I give it 4 and not 5 because I feel their prices are a little high for the area and the hostess at the counter was rude and rolled her eyes when I asked about specials. "We don't have specials" read more

The food was excellent, however, the chef Chris ruined the evening with continuous snide and derogatory remarks to our party. He was particularly aggressive, throwing shrimp at my husband. I understand it is supposed to be part of the production, but it went far beyond amusing. My husband's shirt was covered in shrimp stains from all the times the shrimp landed on his clothing. Totally unprofessional! And a horrible way to start the evening. Ruined it for our party of 6. read more

Horrible place! The AC doesn't work as it was extremely hot in there. Waited over an hour for a table and once we got seated no one even greeted us until I had to flag a server down. Miso soup was cold, drinks weren't getting refilled, and we ended up cancelling our kids order because it was taking too long and the kids were getting restless so we left. They then charged our friends who were with us a service fee! Won't ever go back. read more

We eat out quite a bit, but I have never taken the time to write a review, not even once. However, I feel strongly enough that no other family should have to experience the hell that we went through after stopping here for dinner, so I'm going to share our experience now. We took our 4 yr old and 7 yr old to eat and enjoy the "Hibachi show" (also a joke mind you) and were sat immediately at one of their Hibachi tables in the back of the restaurant. It was not a busy evening there. They made us wait at the table until another couple entered the restaurant and were sat at the table with us before ever even coming over to take drink orders, at least 20 minutes. They brought out the drinks, and took our entire food order. Eventually, our appetizers were delivered and we all began to eat. Some time later, while we were eating, we were approached and told that we could not sit there anymore because "our Hibachi dinner order was not 60 percent of our bill". We were forced to leave the table, with our kids and all our drinks and food, and re locate to a regular table at the front of the restaurant. Mind you, we brought the kids here specifically to see the "Hibachi show" which they had been waiting patiently for, for an hour at this point. I calmly walked to the front and asked to speak to a manager. I would have understood the situation, had no one else been at the same table being served Hibachi dinner (the couple we had to wait for to be sat with us when we first arrived). We were then told that there was no manager on duty, only the owner himself. However, he would not come out and talk to us. WOW. After about 10 minutes, our server felt so bad about the whole situation, she took us back to our original seats. So again, we picked up our kids and all of our stuff to move back to the Hibachi table. Sadly, after all of this, the food ended up being mediocre at best. What a disappointment. Our server was the only positive part of our entire experience here, and if I could have offered her a better place of employment right then, I would have! She was great, and we made sure to take care of her as well. It saddens me to think of her working for this MUCH LESS than par establishment, and with no apparent help. Please do not support this restaurant, they do not deserve to be in business. read more

I can hardly give this place 1 star. I know it's newly open but that is no excuse for the service we received last night. Made a 5 pm reservation, seated promptly. Sushi was quick to arrive but subpar. We sat in one of the booths and ordered from the grill. OVER AN HOUR later and still no food. We had the wait staff inform us that the food would be out in a few minutes, multiple times when we started to get frustrated. Salad had about 5 small bites and about a tsp of dressing. Ended up leaving without dinner. No manager came to apologize. So frustrated. Resident of Hayden and was excited about a new restaurant. Won't be back and certainly won't recommend. read more

Last night we went for dinner. It wasn't busy, we had to wait for a table to be cleaned. We sat down to a messy table with rice stuck on the table and bench... we thought no big deal we don't want to be picky. Ordered drinks snd appetizers they were good. We had drinks refilled 2 times while we had appetizers. We ordered 6 rolls, the waitress came back twice to check if our order was correct. We finally got our food, the waitress that delivered had no idea what was on each plate. Two of us ordered the same roll. There was something quite off with the roll. It tasted kind of sour, can't really explain, just off. We each had 1 piece from our rolls I also had my other daughter try it to see if it was just us. Nope, still something is wrong. Not once did anyone come to our table once we got our food to see how it was or refill our drinks (again not busy) now it's time to clear the table and bring our bill. I mentioned to the waitress that something was kind of off with the one roll, I told her it was kind of sour, almost like something in it was bad/spoiled (it was a mayo sauce) she told me well I didn't see your plates and next time if you have a problem you should say something. I said no one came to our table until we were done. This was frustrating because we go here often, I wasn't worried about how much it was, I paid the whole bill!! Over $110.00 super disappointed, not a good experience not sure if we will go back. We stopped going to the Post Falls location due to horrible waitstaff. read more

Made reservations for 7, we were the only ones at our hibachi grill table....odd. Service was attentive and asked for our drink and appetizers. Ordered a couple of drinks and the California roll. After drinks were delivered service wanted our order. We both ordered and within 15 minutes a cook came out. The cook did not dress to impress, his smock was grease soaked and filthy and we got to enjoy him sucking up his bloody nose the whole preparation process..... gross. Food was good as any hibachi grill, not the beat but average. I had the shrimp and the wife had teriyaki beef. Meal was fine ...had another round of drinks and then after about an hour of dinner the bill came. As I started to look at the bill the waitress is walking to our table with our California roll.....holy cow we had forgot we even ordered it.....and now it's at my table, on a plate after the bill was here....drinks empty, tabled cleared and boom here is the roll. She said sushi was really busy that night.....no it was not....I could see from our table they had sushi customers but no one was waiting an hour for a roll. She has the audacity to ask if I wanted a box for the roll then said she could also send it back and take it off the bill. Jesus we just paid for it and brought it home. Won't be back and from the looks in the empty seats in the dining room I'm not the only who feels this way. read more

I was excited for Fuki to have a location in Hayden. Just went with my one year old, my sister and her husband. Was seated promptly but waited a half hour and still was not acknowledged. Saw the waitress help other tables that were seated after us and just completely ignored us. Was worried how the rest of the evening would go so we decided to leave. Told the hostess and she didn't seem to care. Would never go back. read more

I have been to Fu-Ki several times but quit going about a year ago as the sushi I'd had was always poorly made (falling apart) and every roll seemed to be stuffed with fake crab, even ones which didn't have it in the description. We went back tonight because my daughter and her friend wanted to do a special dinner and I thought the dinner show at the teppan tables would be fun. It was one of the most bizarre experiences I've had in a long time.... I'm giving it 2 stars purely due to the amount of food provided and the fact that the veggie meal was really flavored well. My main complaint was our chef. First of all, he began our dinner with a prayer, a lengthy one. I thought at first he was kidding, but he prayed on and on while we awkwardly sat there wondering if it was all a joke. He then started our "show" which mostly consisted of him yelling out comments to people at all the other tables, including bringing a poor girl over to ours and having us sing happy birthday to her while he called her the wrong name then asked if she was 7. She was 9 and looked mortified by the experience and he screamed "God bless you" as she went back to her table. This was clearly a distraction from his lack of griddle cooking skills, which were not more than anyone at our table could have done. During dinner he repeatedly called me "your mom" to my poor friends daughter, despite having told him numerous times the other girl was my daughter. It was awkward for all of us, and sadly the food, with the overcooked shrimp and pink salad dressing which left you wondering where in the hell that combination of colors could have come from, did not make up for this cringeworthy and expensive meal. read more

Made reservations for a birthday dinner for 6 people. Unfortunately it was on a night when they were short staffed and the staff that were there were all young and seemingly very new at their jobs. Staff running around with little being accomplished. We were kept waiting 1/2 hr before being seated. A lot of apologies but....The wait staff were all confused as to who ordered what and the chef at our station was not exactly personable ( although the food he prepared was delicious). Sadly the experience was not worth the $200 tab and I don't anticipate returning. read more

This is the worst sushi experience I have ever had... waited over an hour it for first part of our order, the wasabi was multi colored as if it had been scrapped from an old bowl in the fridge and the sushi itself was bland and strikingly identical to each roll we ordered... additionally the service was was oblivious to the extremely long wait and, with the exception of bringing us a miso soup that was cold and smelled like it had been stained through a dirty sock, I will never eat at any of these restaurants again... if I owned the Fuji in Post Falls I would have this one shut down or change its name so that it didn't bankrupt both. You would be better off handing $100 to someone on the corner, at least you would know where it's going and someone would enjoy the experience, NEVER AGAIN! read more

Food was good, service was horrible. We were seated in a room off of the front door so we saw everyone's butt as they stood for their table.
