The Cajun boil seafood is very tasty. Served fast and the volume is big, very flavorful. The owner is very friendly. Highly recommend.

It was very good and it was the most authentic Cajun Seafood I've had on Long Island. The fried cat fish here is also very good.

My sister and I had such a great experience at Nunzi's By The Water. From the moment we walked in,…read morethe service was warm, welcoming, and inviting. Our waitress made us feel completely comfortable we were laughing, having side conversations, and genuinely enjoying ourselves all night. By the end of the evening, she even said, "Goodnight, love you!" and quickly laughed saying she didn't mean to say it. That pretty much summed up the vibe of the night friendly, relaxed, and memorable. The food was excellent from start to finish. I had the Caesar salad appetizer, which was very good, and my sister had the calamari, which she said was excellent. For our entrées, we both ordered the chicken parmesan with alavaca sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. To finish the night, we shared the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was the perfect treat. The portion is definitely big enough for two people, so I wouldn't recommend ordering one per person. The location is beautiful and right by the water true to the restaurant's name. The only small thing to note is the parking. There are two parking lots, and the first one is definitely the better option. The second lot leads closer to the waterfront entrance and can feel a little tight and snug when parking. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely go back. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service.

Compared to the farmingdale location the ambiance of this one is giving forgotten step sister aside from the back table(pictured on the website)they did up very nicely. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very sweet and managed a basically full bar attending to every guest with care. We ordered the Italian nachos which we loved and the Picasso. The nachos had a generous amount of crumbled sausage cheese and bruschetta as well as some spicy peppers. We really enjoyed the nachos. The Picasso was a nice size, but the sandwich lacked a little seasoning and needed a little more balsamic. It felt kind of dry. For cocktails we got the strawberry lemon drop, it tasted a little medicinal and the cucumber lime spritz type drink(I can't recall the exact name). This one was very good. An overall very mixed experience but I want to give it another shot even if only for the nachos

Very disappointed at that. I asked why and was told that the prices for the scallops and the lobster meat has just gotten out of control. Understandable, but they still should have them on hand for the customers that are willing to pay the up charge. I would have if I had the option to do so. People go to top notch steakhouses and still pony up the money for prime beef. As usual the staff was super friendly and helpful, but I still miss those nice big sea scallops. Bring them back please !!!! At the very least let the customers who want them have the option of calling and preorder them. Thats the end of my rant....lol

Here's a polished version that keeps your voice, personality, honesty, and detail while tightening…read moreit up so it reads like a strong, authentic review people would actually stop and read: This place is second to none. You might find a seafood spot that's just as good, but you'll be hard-pressed to find one better. My boy and I are there pretty much every Sunday during NFL season, and honestly, we sneak visits in during the week too -- sometimes just us, sometimes with the wives, sometimes grabbing food to bring back home. The vibe is always cool, welcoming, and family-oriented. Jerry, the owner, is cool as hell and treats people right. The whole staff really does. Danielle, Jordan, Jose -- all love. Now let's get to the food. The whiting? Amazing. The catfish? Amazing. The fried lobster? AMAZING. The shrimp? Always on point. The mac and cheese is easily a 4 to 4.5 out of 5. I'll never say somebody's mac is better than my mama's, but theirs is dangerously close. The collard greens are solid too. Me personally, I like my greens with a little more soul seasoning and spice -- a little cayenne kick built in instead of needing hot sauce afterward -- so for me they're about a 3.5 to 4 out of 5. But I can tell they season them in a way that appeals to everybody's palate and lets people adjust it themselves. The salmon soup? ELITE. They sell out of it constantly, so if you want it, get there early. The only thing I'd personally add would be some crushed chili flakes and corn niblets to take it completely over the top. As somebody who cooks and runs a catering business myself, I'm extremely critical about food, so when I say this place meets the bar and raises it, I mean that. Jose is usually back there cooking every time we go, so I joke that they got him chained to the kitchen -- but clearly he knows what he's doing. Jerry and the family taught him well. Now for honesty: The potato salad isn't really my thing. I'd probably give it a 2.5 out of 5 because, again, it feels made to appeal to all palates instead of heavily seasoned-food lovers like me. Same with the cabbage -- but I'm Jamaican, so unless cabbage is Jamaican-style, you're probably not selling me on it anyway . But the important part is this: the foods people ACTUALLY go to a soul food seafood restaurant for? They absolutely nail them. And now they opened a Brooklyn location too. Trust me -- make the trip. Once you go, you're going to keep going back.

If they ever start cutting them, I'll stop going -- but for now, they've got it right. I also tried the fried chicken, which had a great crunch and was cooked well. Both the fish and chicken could've used a bit more flavor for my personal taste, but nothing a little garlic and herb seasoning from home couldn't fix. My parents enjoyed the fish too, and they're pretty particular, so that says something. The staff was courteous and I really appreciated seeing that the cooks were wearing gloves -- always a good sign of care and cleanliness. I love supporting Black-owned businesses, especially when they're putting in this level of effort. Glad I found this place -- I'll definitely take that drive again to return since I no longer patronize UberEats/ Uber.

We had a large party but the owner made accommodations, provided us with a nice birthday set up complete with balloons and there were games available for us to play at the table that helped make it an interactive experience. Not to mention the DJ was also playing good music. We got mixed reviews from our guests about their food but overall it was a great first experience. Fast forward to yesterday, vibes were similar. They seemed a little short staffed for a brunch day buy the server/bartender was doing the best she could with a very upbeat pleasant demeanor. We noticed the Manager come in as we were seated but she seemed reoccupied so we didn't get a chance to greet her. Our food came out and it was pretty good, my wife would've wanted her waffles a little more cooked but the food came out exactly how we ordered so she would know better to mention that next time. The main issue was there was a piece of metal from a metal cleaning pad in my Waffle. I mentioned it to the Server and she brought it to her manager only to come back and tell me she was told it was from when the Waffle machine got cleaned and she offered me a new Waffle. I had already eaten just about my whole meal so I didn't think replacing it would make sense. She gave us a round of shots before we paid the bill but I just would have liked it more if the owner had come and at least acknowledged the issue before we left. I didn't care for money to be returned or anything it just felt dismissive that she didn't address us directly.
