This place was so fun! It's right across from lucky strike ! The drinks were flowing about 10 a drink a believe. We ordered 6 shots it was about $80 bucks. Typical for downtown but we enjoyed playing all the games ! What's nice is you get this electronic cards and they do not print tickets instead what you win gets loaded on the card. The prizes are good , but it may take a couple of trips and saving of points to get something nice. Overall we had a wonderful experience . Try the buffalo wings they were delicious !! Fun way to spend 15 or 20 minutes, but not an arcade for people really into games. Can be fun for groups (they have private rooms off to the end), but few games have the option for more than 2 players (Mini gold stands out as allowing many). There are some new or interesting games, of course lots of old casino games (like coin-drops), but also some stripped down version of common smartphone games (flappy bird, plants v zombies among others). read more

Yet another diversion has opened up in Streeterville. It really is where an adult can be a kid. The wifey and I came here to kill time with our daughter on MLK day. Normally, when I went to arcades as a child I would blow through my credit. But either I move slow or FTW credits really go a long way. We were there about an hour and did not even spend 1/3 of the $25 I loaded onto the card. I did not eat the food or play even half the games or mini golf, but I will definitely make this place a regular stop post-movies. Cool place. A good variety of games, plus a cool little 6 hole mini golf area. This place was really a lot of fun. It is really different and i had no idea there was an arcade in downtown Chicago. There are all sorts of games from ski ball to DDR to basketball. They have all the credits on a card you swipe so no need to worry about losing tokens. The tickets also go on the same card which is great because you don't have to walk around with handfuls of tickets. FTW was not what I expected, and I'm beyond pleased with my experience there. I thought for sure that an arcade in downtown Chicago would cost about $30-40 for two hours, and to my surprise, when me and my two other friends went there, we spent about $10 each for two hours of consistent game playing. They have a point system when you can buy a certain amount of points for certain costs (the more you buy, obviously, the cheaper the price per point gets). Each game ranges from about 2 to 10 points each to play (maybe more, but the most I saw was 10) and can give you tickets that you can later spend. Like most of the reviews on here state, the stuff you get from the tickets aren't much, but I don't think it's so much about the reward you get as opposed to how much fun you have, and both me and my friends enjoyed FTW a lot. The people that greeted us explained everything super clearly to us, and when a machine broke down even though we already paid to use it, they helped fixed the machine for us and then paid for us to use it again. I did feel as if the waiters and waitress in the bar area seemed a little judgey and seemed to eye people down (it made me feel slightly uncomfortable), but despite that, we didn't really try any of their food or anything there really so it didn't bother me too much. I can only speak for the gaming area, and that area for sure, can keep you entertained for hours on end with your friends. Definitely would recommend trying out FTW if you're looking for an arcade in the downtown area and have some time to kill. read more

Came here after an early dinner to do something different then the typical bar scene. Cool space, the games were different and fun. Some of the games were hard to navigate through, wish they had more instructions prior to starting the game. Wish they had more games that required skill instead of "spin the wheel" for 40 tickets. I enjoyed the mini golf, 6 quick holes that were quite hard for a non-golfer. I'm not familiar with how much other arcade type places cost but I believe this is reasonably priced. Two suggestions-- speed up the rewarding of tickets, when winning 100+ tickets it takes forever to play again. If geared towards adults have better adult prizes. We ended up with 5000 tickets and went home with a travel blender and tootsie rolls! read more

They have a good variety of beers on tap and various cocktails to make all of the game playing a little more fun. the staff were non-existent.  As soon as they greeted us, they were no where to be found.  I believe I saw the greeter and the girl who was to manage our party leave for lunch during our party. 2) Lunch was to be served at 3pm... all 11 7 yr old boys were in their seat at 3pm... no food.  Given we only have 2 hours, the expectation is that the process would run smooth and be prompt.  We grabbed one of the servers to find out what was going on, and were "dismissed" and placated - pretty insulting.  Stating that you had a lot of parties going on (I saw one of the other four rooms with people for a party) and it couldn't be helped.  You only have 4 rooms to manage and we were 1 of them..... Then we just went straight to the manager.  The food rolled out at that time 3) No drink refills.. had to chase down a waiter for that. 4) The food quite frankly was bad.  Pizza tasteless and hard, chicken tenders so deep fried and hard that they were worse than the pizza. 5) no one cleared the plates after the food was eaten nor bothered to ask if we needed plates for cake.  We had to chase down staff for that also; after we basically cleaned it up ourselves b/c we were running out of time to even have cake. 6) Good news is that the manager recognized that this was not the right experience and helped.   Honestly, I like FTW, but not for a party.  You guys must get your system down for 2 hour parties to roll smoothly and an improvement in the quality of food and staff attention is necessary.   I'd go back to Dave and Busters next time, and I think they are bad.  I wish I could say better and it will be a negative review when I provide feedback online. read more

This place is so much fun! There are great games, but also the staff is amazing! I was playing down the clown and my ring slipped off while playing. I was looking around for it for a few minutes and someone almost immediately care over and asked me if I'd lost something. After I explained, he searched the entire game for my ring (and actually found another ring that didn't belong to me). After that, he searched to game next to it and luckily found it!! I was so lucky that this member of staff was so helpful and I was able to find it. Definitely recommend this place, the atmosphere is great and the staff definitely goes the extra mile!! read more

This place is stupid, me and my friend came here and they didn't allow us to enter the place becoz they were holding the driver license without a social security number. And we walked back home to pick up the passport. After we came back, they said they won't allow us to go to the place coz we were having an attitude. Mistake made on our bill, hamburger that took over an hour and finally arrived when everyone was done with their food- zero accommodations they didn't even removed the side of fries they added by mistake when members of the parties requested fries with their sandwiches our server response was I heard side of fries with the sandwiches so I put in side of fries - forget that our sandwiches came with fries . We had to get our own water and constantly ask for items. Go to Dave & Buster - skip this place! This place do not offer VR games and do not have sufficient help. Got a Sharper Image soundbar here with 10,000 tickets. I had saved up for a while, and I was very excited about it. When I brought it home, the bluetooth would not work. I bought an optical cable for it, which would not work either. It would not work with my phone, computer, or TV I called Apple and Sharper Image, who confirmed it was a problem with the soundbar. I called in to FTW to tell them about it, and they told me I could bring it in but never said anything about a date it would have to be in by. I brought it in the first chance I could, and they told me it was too late and they would not refund my tickets. The general manager was very smirky about it. This place should probably start paying me for the marketing I've been doing since my visit last week. ;) In all seriousness, though, my fiance and I decided to check FTW out on Friday night after being shut out of the Chicago Athletic Association rooftop bar by Rahm Emmanuel's little get-together (does he ever stop ruining things for the little folks?) A quick walk over to E. Illinois from S. Michigan found us in the midst of quite a throng of Lucky Strike and AMC patrons for Jurassic date night, but the FTW Chicago barcade was pleasantly less crowded. After 8 p.m. is 21+, so we only encountered a few parents with kids who hadn't yet left for the evening by the time we arrived. We headed straight for a couple of seats at the bar; huge chalkboards listing the craft beer options surround the biggest flat-screen TV I have ever seen, so bright that we had to shield our eyes when the thing went to commercial! There are even a couple of ciders for non-beer drinkers like myself, and we ordered the short rib poutine to snack on. YUM! The short ribs were melt in your mouth soft, salty, and perfect over the fries. One staff member also came around with an appetizer cart and gave us FREE fried cheese curds with a tomato jam, which I really enjoyed the sweetness of. After our snack we bought a $25 game card; all of the games use a card swipe to deduct game points from the stored value on your card and keep track of the e-tickets you win. The games are a lot of fun, a mix of more traditional arcade and carnival-like games: skee-ball, claw machines, air hockey, knock-em-down clowns, pinball, the biggest Connect Four game I've ever seen, and even a 3-D glasses zombie shooting game that actually made me jump when the first undead popped out! We didn't play a round of the Chicago-themed mini golf, but it looked interesting and would probably try it out on our next visit. Supposedly this is a steampunk themed arcade, but other than being able to trade your e-tickets in for steampunk-looking accessories, I didn't see much in the decor or staff dress that would otherwise indicate that, so it's not at all as kitschy or trying-too-hard hipster as you might think hearing that. When I went to the preview party yesterday I had Truffle Chicken & "Dumplings", Portobello Mushroom "Fries", Hand-battered Mini Corn Dogs, Ahi Tuna Poke, Cheese Curds & Gravy, Beef "Chorizo" & Cotija Cheese and It's Always Thanksgiving. For Small Plates, The Portobello Mushroom "Fries" were made with marinara sauce and parmesan cheese. The Hand-Battered Mini Corn Dogs were made with stone ground corn meal and honey mustard sauce and last the Ahi Tuna Poke came with red onions, sesame soy, avocado chili, spicy mayo on toasted flatbread. For the Poutines they were Beef "Chorizo" & Cotija Cheese and they were made with Belgian Fries. The Cheese Curds came with a special in house made red gravy. For Sliders, I had It's Always Thanksgiving and that was made with turkey burger, cranberry onion relish, brie cheese and walnut cranberry bread. Last for the Main dish I had Truffle Chicken & "Dumplings" and that was made with roasted chicken, gnocchi, artichoke hearts, bechamel and truffle butter. I tried to stay for the Dessert but time was running out. Everything was great especially the "Dumplings". It opens on 6/4. read more

This place should be ashamed of themselves. I tried to go there with my 12 year old son and was denied entry because they apparently don't allow anyone over 21 entry after 8 PM. However, I could clearly see dozens of kids younger than him in the place. The bouncer rudely said they were already in there. Try telling that to your disappointed 12 year old! Downright shame. Stopped by for a drink and food with a couple friends last night. Bar area wasn't too busy so I grabbed a table. Waiter arrived and took our drink order. We waited over 5 minutes and our drinks still had not arrived. Bartender was behind the bar looking at his cell phone doing absolutely nothing to prepare drinks. Manager was also behind the bar chatting with the bartender. The waiter who took our drink order ended up walking over to chat with a girl in a small room located near the bar area. Friends and I decided to leave. Drinks never arrived and nobody seem to care. Better service at the movie theatre next door to grab a beer and food. read more

This place had the worst customer service I have ever experienced even all the way up to management (if you have an issue talk to anyone but Adam) if I could give this place 0 stars I would. Be warned this arcade is NOT FRIENDLY for out of town guests. My fiancé and I went with a group of friends straight from dinner. We were greeted rudely and told that no food was allowed inside the location. Unfortunately we had at least $75 in leftovers and were limited on options of what to do (drive back to where we are staying and not make it back in time before they closed since it was 10pm or throw the food out). In the end we lost our leftovers not a big deal I was more mad about the principle of good customer service and not letting customers leave angry. Especially when they spend a ton of money supporting your location when we had plenty of other local arcades to choose from, but went out of our way to go to yours. I spoke to several people working that night to see if they could hold the food for us at the front and they refused. I would understand if people asked to carry food with them since they serve food inside, but we were willing to leave it at the front desk. I just feel like it is unreasonable especially when you choose a touristy location for your arcade. No matter what business you are in it should be about making the customers happy. I did not get that vibe from this arcade at all. If I only spent my time there playing games and not interacting with employees then everything would have gone great. Do not go here. It is "The Worst". As said in a review almost all the games are suped up iPhone games. They even have a large flappy birds. $20 gets you 2500 points, and a new card costs $2. You have to use the card for everything, even mini golf. Games cost between 80 pts for ski ball to 300 pts for Star Wars. Mini golf costs 800 pts per person and is only 6 holes. Took my wife and I maybe 10 min to get through and we suck at mini golf. Nothing about the course was creative. All the "positive" reviews for this are fake and/or paid for, can easily tell by the style of writing and adjectives used. Again do not go here you will be disappointed. read more

I visited FTW Chicago with a few friends from NY as part of the Chicago Pokemon Go Fest after-party (sponsored by The Silph Road). and we had a pretty fun time. The place is located at the top of the building's escalators, and is immediately recognizable by the loud sounds and bright lights inside. Upon arrival, I found myself immersed in the wide variety of arcade games available. We ended up playing Fruit Ninja, Operation G.H.O.S.T., and a number of token games that you'll find at any Dave & Busters. Weirdly enough, we saw a grown man play the Piano-tile game over 30 times in a row (which leads me to suspect that people can get arcade addiction similarly to gambling addiction). Although we didn't snag too many tickets, we ended up getting a mini-POP figure for Wall-E, which was a nice ending to the night. Overall, give this place a shot if you're an adult who likes late-night arcade gaming. read more

It was ok. I went there with my family last Sunday (01/14/18). The young lady at the front seemed annoyed by our very presence. We were asking her about the prices and she was busying texting on her phone. It took about five minutes to buy our game cards from her. Putting that aside and trying to enjoy our visit, we decided to eat first. Our first server was a very nice and polite guy with dreadlocks, took our order and came back with our drinks. Overall awesome, 10/10 from him. I don't know what happened but we somehow got a different server, a lady with dreads who was apparently not aware we had already ordered. She was less polite and rude. When our food (3 burgers and a pizza) came, it was cold. The food itself was ok, not the best, probably would've been better if it was hot. The games were fun and the other patrons there were happy. None of the games were broken, the claw machine is somewhat fair, the prizes are practical. TL:DR - I will happily come back, but I won't be eating here. The food sucks, but the games all work. It's the opposite of Dave & Busters. read more

First time here and I enjoyed it. Reminded me of Dave and Busters. I almost was 53mp53e to do the DDR Dance Dance Revolution but realized I wasn't a teen anymore haha. Burgers smelled good although I didn't have any food and lots of tv's to watch the sports since its more adults in that area vs kids on a way. Definitely would go back several times. If your into the arcade games and some VR games than this place is the place to be your own. Literally next to a movie theater and a bowling alley inside. I decided to check out this place with some friends to see if I found my new and favorite arcade/gaming spot. Came on a Friday night and it was so dead! I don't know if its because they just opened last week or because of their 21 and over age restriction after 8pm but I wasn't complaining. I ordered a vodka lemonade and they ran out of lemonade so they used like sweet and sour to substitute and still charged me like $14 -_-(and this is while it was slow so I cant imagine what they would've ran out of if it was busy) I also ordered their mini corn dogs and they were really tasty! You get 3 of them for $10 I believe. As for their games, they have a really wide selection including this really cool piano game, the expected racing and flying games and the unexpected mini golf! ( Ive never seen that before). But I couldn't help but think about Dave Busters because this place is literally just a more upscale and expensive version of it. You buy a $2 game card and decide how much you want to put on it. I put $25 on it and it ran out quick but each game is 200-500 tokens so........ We were there this afternoon to kill some time before our flight back home and had a good time at the arcade. When we went to cash in our card for a silly prize to take home with us as a memory we were at the redemption counter with a very roudy couple that accused us of steeling their points.. (we barely had enough to get a couple pieces of candy). The couple seemed to be regulars who think that an arcade is the best place to get themselves a vinyl record player and a Star Wars lunch box, and the staff did not do a good job of calming them down from yelling at us and accusing us of stealing from them. We ended up leaving as to avoid any more confrontation from them cause seriously what's the point of getting into a fight with grown people at an arcade?!? My friends and I stopped by to check the place out because of the Steampunk theme (for that I guess they made an effort but it's so plastic and fake that I think they missed the point). Anyways... First impression wasn't that great. We'd been walking around downtown and I was carrying a bottle of water. It had about two sips left in it but they still stopped me at the front and made me throw it out. The games were pretty standard barcade fare, along the lines of GameWorks before all the games started breaking down (and squeezed into a space about half the size). There were a couple games that intrigued me but most were the cheesy ticket variety. I can imagine that there would be a long line for the good games on a Saturday night. We were going to grab a bite to eat but the menu was barren and the offerings overpriced. We ended up leaving without playing any games or eating as nothing jumped out at us. The private rooms were very well done... beautifully decorated with an excellent view... but small. The minigolf looked beat but it's only six holes and we were hungry so we skipped out. Overall, if you've got a lot of cash to burn, and you're already downtown, this might be a good stop during the night, but the location and price mean it's not something I'll be going out of my way to do. read more

If I could give negative stars..I WOULD! I've been coming here since they opened...always a good time. But this evening, I arrived at 11:20 to use a card that's already loaded, because I come here often with my husband. Was told through a cracked(partially open) entrance way, by a guy who bv told us, that they don't allow entry past 11:15....once again we was there at 11:20 and they close at midnight, its Thursday. So, confused....me and husband turn away, the door is closed, then locked. Then I realized the register is powered off(lightbulb) I tell the guy, I have a loaded card, so I dont need any use for the powered off register....he says that my card wont expire, so come back at another time. Dont get me wrong, he wasn't rude in any way, but I dont understand them closing almost an hour early especially if the patron has a card that's ready for use. This make me reconsider coming back along with recommending anyone else coming here as well. DO BETTER read more
