Did a little round of golf and then had some food. WOW was the pizza good. We had the Sweet Spot and I could have had the whole thing. The only downfall was it took 45 minutes to get our order. This place was so much fun! It's also very big! I wish I could've stayed a bit longer and played some of the arcade games as well as Nintendo systems they had in one of the rooms towards the entrance. I took advantage of their happy hour $7 slice and draft beer and $2 slices (cheese and pepperoni). The bar tender was great and so was the pizza guy, both friendly and provided great customer service. A great place to have a drink and play some mini golf. The course itself doesn't change often, but it's fun to come back every few months just for a change of pace. In the back are a few arcade games and off the entrance is a TV with a Nintendo. The last time we tried to use the Photo Booth I am pretty sure it ended up eating a few bucks and never produced any photos, hopefully that is fixed now. I stood for sooo long while they were not busy at all and the two women repeatedly made eye contact and turned and walked away instead of helping me. Super fun spot! A friend of mine had a birthday party at Big Mini Putt and we had a really good time. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the space is awesome. I love big open concept, so even if you aren't the ones playing putt putt, you can still watch and be part of the action. As for the putt putt, there are 9 holes. They're pretty close together, but I never felt like the people behind us were pushing us along or impatient, I think because the environment is so laid back and relax. The courses are really fun and clever! I think it took us about a half hour to make our way through, and at the end there's a chance to win a free drink! I believe Big Mini Putt is drinks only (I didn't see a food menu or anyone eating). I can't speak on the cocktail menu, but I did have a really great mule mocktail! I had a fun time here! Came here on a Saturday night for date night and we had a BLAST!! (Mostly bc I kicked my bf's butt!) It took us about 30 min to go thru all 9 holes so it's a pretty quick game. The drinks were tasty and the course was super whimsical! (See Sasquatch.) The two guys manning the desk were friendly. Definitely would come back again... or maybe we'll have a rematch at the Wicker Park location :p. They don't have serve food unfortunately but there's no shortage of good eats nearby. read more

The place is a great time! We went to celebrate a coworker's last day at work and it was a blast! Also, happy hour $5 draft beers? Really great! I had both of their IPAs and I'm pretty sure I bought 4 in the hour of happy hour I had access. Also, it's a full bar so I had to buy at least one shot of Malort for the guy leaving right? But anyway, a great place to go with friends, coworkers, etc. They have group packages online so definitely register there first. Also although the courses are pretty tightly close together, they were still a good time with cool designs too! But, note that only groups of 4 can putt together, so we had our groups split in 4 but you can still interact in the same space. Also, you can bring your drink on the course, so even better! Slow service, bad quality food, overpriced drinks, hostile to gay people, and the ambiance was very millennial burger restaurant in 2012 with no redeeming qualities. For a place in Boystown that's right across from the LGBT community center, the person working the door is hostile to people who aren't straight. I went with my friends (most straight people would look at us and correctly assume we're gay) to grab a drink and hang out a few weeks ago. The guy checking our IDs glared at us and kept giving dirty looks when we came in. When we saw straight people come in after us, he was the complete opposite- polite and chill with them. When we left, I said "have a good night" to the guy at the door who, as soon as we got close to the door, glared at us again and snorted and rolled his eyes at me in response. When one of my other friends behind me also said "thanks" the guy laughed in his face. If you're going to have a business in the gay neighborhood, don't hire outright homophobes. Or at the very least, teach him how to keep it under wraps while he's at work representing the business and the business owner's values. read more

The mini golf course is a fast game play at 9 holes- approx 30 mins depending on crowd and group size. It's a fun course but I wish on non-busy days they would let you keep playing rounds instead of limiting to one. I feel like they'd sell more drinks this way. The bar is large, bartenders are friendly, and there are a handful of arcade games as well. They allow you to bring or order your own food which is cool. All in all, I would compare this to the miniature golf version of replay. It's more of a chill bar- come here to drink, catchup with friends, and chill. The mini golf feels more of an accoutrement than the reason to come back but it's fun. All and all a cool place, nice vibes, and glad it's in the neighborhood. Was stoked to check this place out as they recently opened in East Lakeview / Boystown, and I'd heard great things about their other location but my initial reaction is, meh. The bar is big and spacious but they were missing a few items from their online menu...nbd. The service was super slow (but super friendly!) as they only had a single bartender working. He was totally overwhelmed as people arrived in groups for their tee times, as we did, so he never had a chance to catch up. It was a warm and humid day, and they had their front windows open...it was so hot my drink ice melted quick and I couldn't get back to the bar for a cold one due to reasons above. The course is 9 holes, cramped, plays pretty quick and frankly...lacking creativity. I've had more fun playing at the chicago park district course on Diversey (and they have a bar, too!). Also, other patrons left their drinks on the tables and ledges throughout the course, which is just rude of them, but maybe having a busser and/or server on the course would help. Our group likes to drink, but literally had only a single adult beverage each and went to a local (air conditioned) bar immediately after we finished our round. I'm also bitter I lost the game by two strokes...but that's my problem. Haha All in all not a bad experience per se, just meh. It's also nearly double the size of the Wicker Park spot, making it a really great place to come even if you're not playing mini golf. High ceilings, large windows, including two that roll up like a bay doors to allow for fresh air, all lend itself to a clean, fun environment that has space for friends. Some of us come in weekly for the mini-golf and it is always a stellar time. The staff is warm, welcoming, and the course never gets old! The cocktail menu has a wide selection from fruity to boozy and the beer menu is expansive. There are numerous NA options for those so inclined as well. Bartender was making it apparent he was trying to close even though there were four groups actively playing mini golf, and it was 8pm. As a service industry worker, I completely understand a volume centric business but I really felt like the bartender wanted to make it clear everyone here was unwelcome. Would love to recommend the drinks but the service ultimately left a bad taste in my mouth. The absolute highlight was the wonderful guy working at the booth, believe his name was Eli.
