We shop at this grocery store often because it's conveniently located near her house. However, at times the store is not fully stocked and several items are unavailable. Given that this is a busy and popular grocery store in the area, we believe there should be better inventory management, including more frequent restocking and possibly ordering additional quantities of high-demand items. Overall, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and there are plenty of registers open, which helps keep lines moving. The pharmacy is available for our needs, but many items are locked and require assistance from a staff member to unlock them, which can be inconvenient when trying to shop quickly. The store itself is nice and located in a plaza with several restaurants and other businesses nearby. We would also love to see additional stores in the area, such as a Walgreens, CVS, or even a hospital, to better serve the community. read more

This is the worst fry's, always out of stock on every day items, the recovery after any busy weekend or holiday takes this store days if not more to restock shelves. The customer service counter only has one person to handle the long long lines. Poor customer service, you cannot even ask for help, because nobody is there to ask. This is solely the responsibility of the Store Director and the District Manager to ensure the Store is adequately staffed, instead they try to save on labor costs because of their bonuses. I'm also tired of bagging my own groceries, I should get a discount if I'm bagging my own items. The meat departments service counter doesn't open till after 9-10am, unacceptable. I am going to go back to shopping elsewhere. The store manager should be replaced. Competition is coming soon and I assure you, many customers will stop shopping at your store. read more

Been going to this grocery store since it first opened. Recently in the last year, it has drastically declined. The bathrooms are so disgusting. They often are out of stock of products Monday and Tuesdays. The recent most upsetting thing is the carts. The carts look like they've been destroyed. Whether you get a broken wheel or it's been and pulls sideways. Mainly the seats in the baskets for kids is the bother for me. I always end up with a basket that has no flap for my son to sit on and the clips for safety rarely work. I know they advertise the lowest prices but can't they use some of their money for new carts that actually work like Target or something. Preferably so my child isn't pinched in the seat or unsafe without a belt. We will continue to use Frys for now until Safeway opens on Verrado way since there aren't many choices currently. read more

This store is huge and shiny, with extra-large aisles that are especially nice in this time of social distancing. The layout is vastly different than any other stores around, so I imagine there will be quite a learning curve for me to find where everything is. But let me be clear: the main reason I'll come here is for the massive Murray's cheese counter. The selection is fantastic, with a wide variety of freshly-cut cheeses plus more prepacked cheese in nearby coolers. There are also gobs of accompaniments--crackers, preserves, honeys, etc. The nearby alcohol section is MUCH larger than I have seen in any other Fry's. read more

First day of weekly sales and the app says item is not available on numerous items. They advertise sale on items they don't have. The shelves are not stocked, even on the first day of a sale. The employees seem to hate anyone who asks a question, much less asks for a product. The parking lot is an accident waiting to happen. What a beautiful store. Parking lot is large and multiple entry doors into the store. There are multiple food locations including chicken and my personal favorite the sushi; especially the Arizona roll. There is also a Starbucks of course. The store is very large and clean. If you're in need of gas there is a large Fry's gas station as well. I'd definitely shop here more if I lived a bit closer. read more

The Fry's store in Buckeye, Arizona, has been a significant disappointment since we moved from Oregon. As a loyal customer of Kroger-owned stores like Fred Meyer, the drastic difference in quality is disheartening. For the past four weeks, I have been unable to find a shopping cart upon entering the store, forcing me to retrieve one from the parking lot among the scattered carts, sometimes even taking up parking spaces. In addition, the absence of small black shopping baskets near the entrance has further inconvenienced my shopping experience. The area behind the checkout lines is consistently chaotic, with baskets of items waiting to be returned and miscellaneous items cluttering the corners. Furthermore, the ice machine is nearly always empty by the evening. It's frustrating to find many items out of stock, and the extended replenishment time only adds to the inconvenience. I hope that these issues can be addressed to improve the shopping experience for all customers. The positive aspect of this Fry's store is the wonderful staff. The employees at the deli, meat, and cheese counters are incredibly accommodating. I have a poultry all gy and asked them to clean the blade between cutting turkey and h for our family. The staff member did so with a big smile and said, "No problem." I have also experienced the same level of warm service from the employees at the checkout lines. The management must be doing something right with their team! I've started going to a different store for my big shopping trips. At this new store, I always find the products and brands that we love using in our home. As for Fry's, I mainly use it for quick stops or emergency shopping. read more

Came to this Frys yesterday, June 10th. For starters there was not a single cart inside. One kid doing carts, bring in what he could and they were gone as fast as he brought them in (maybe 6-8 of that, which I know they can only bring so many at a time) Had to take my 4 year old to the bathroom, and was pretty disappointed how gross it was, I expected this being a Frys in/by Verrado it would definitely be clean. Go to check out and the checker Brandon, and bagger London were both face down in their phones. I started unloading and said hi to get Brandon's attention. I noticed a few workers standing around an another check stand 2 over, and as we walked out there wasn't a single cart inside and no longer anyone outside. I was a checker in a grocery store for 10 years, I'm in my mid 30's and honestly can not believe that customer service is fully out the window. Why are phones even allowed to be at work during work hours? That's what breaks and lunches are for, unfortunately this isn't just this store it's everywhere (specially every frys I go to). Why is there not a policy in place, a paying customer should not have to greet someone "working" to get their attention because they are to busy in their phone. Phones should be put away. It was over 100 degrees yesterday, mid afternoon... why was there anyone standing inside on their phones when not a single cart is inside? Why aren't they helping with carts? Making it a team effort and rotating every 15 minutes or so? This is insane. I had 2 tired toddlers with me, so I wasn't going to ask for a manager while I was there. I was tempted to call after leaving, but let's be real if the managers can't see what customers see they truly don't care. It would be nice if you could find a hand basket so that you don't have to carry your groceries by hand. You have to go to a check out line 90% of the time to find one. Brie the store manager, is rude, condescending and has no interest in actually assisting customers. After being hung up on twice for a product check. I called the store manager, where she then lied stating there where phone issues yet there wasn't any issue getting to her. Her management and lack of professionalism has clearly been passed to the employees who lack care and concern for customers. Instead of being treated like trash I'll order my products online and avoid this location all together. The kind and polite thing to do would have been to let me know the product is being ordered and offer a range check, but instead they'll make you wait over 20 mins just to hang up you. Since this location opened this is our *New* Fry's. I have to compliment the produce department. Lately, it is so organized and well maintained. The Starbucks is right near the entrance and they are always quick with the drinks. I have never encountered an unpleasant team member. During the midst of a pandemic with hiring challenges, this store must be doing something right. I love my new Fry's. I was really debating posting this review but this one worker got under my skin. Tonight 08/16 at 9 pm a worker wearing a blue shirt refused me and my husband sale of alcohol because i had left my wallet at home but my husband had his. I offered the az ID app but she said it wasnt acceptable. Not arguing we left went home got my purse and came back. We told the lady we'd be back in five minutes but our cart was already all put back so we went and got everything again. Not a problem if it's a new policy it's a new policy. I have been shopping there for years buying alcohol and only one person was ever carded. Second time going through the check out, i made sure it was with the girl who declined us but she was bagging not cashiering. This time going through right in front of the girl the cashier asked for our id and only checked one of ours, didn't even bother asking for my husbands this time.... Seriously?! You made us drive all the way home to get my license but didn't enforce it the second time around. Then to top it off the frys website says it offers a 10% military discount my husband is active duty and we had his active duty id. They claimed to not know anything about it and said the app must be how to apply it. Its not i checked. Train your employees to be more consistent this is incredibly frustrating. read more

Poor service. Employees don't care to help and management is no managing. No carts when I went in and told them. They mad an announcement for all courtesy clerks to do a cart round up. 15 minutes later still no carts. One person slowly driving an electric cart back to the store. Yesterday there were two employees sitting on the cart racks I. The parking lot drinking a soda and looking at their cell phones. I'm sure they didn't choose to take an official break outside in the heat. Maybe management should get out of their chair and manage. Maybe go out and get carts themselves. This is the worst grocery store I've ever been to in my life. The carts are always gone when entering the store. The parking lot is littered with every single cart. There is never any employees retrieving the carts. The deli and meat department will ignore the customers in the store to fill the online orders for pick up. There are never enough baggers to help bag the groceries. The cashiers look at the customers as if the customer should be bagging their own groceries. The manger seems to be aware of the terrible conditions and treatment of customers but does not care. I have ordered my groceries weekly for a long time. At one point, I was told there are no meat in the store a few months ago. I pulled around and went in to see the meat cases full of what I was told they didn't have. Yesterday I picked up groceries and my produce was loose in a bag of cans and spices. I love this frys! We live down the street and having this location open has been amazing. We had no other grocery stores close by. It's one of the most organized, clean, and simple frys. It has an amazing seafood, cheese, and even sushi section! The Starbucks there is decent. Floral section is mediocre. I'm a plant fanatic and have 50+ in my house. I've tried to buy plants from here and they always die. I wouldn't recommend buying plants from here. I don't think they care for them properly and that's why they die so fast. Everyone is always pleasant though and lines usually move fairly fast! So happy to have this frys near by! read more

Absolutely awful pharmacy. Prescription supposed to be ready at 2:30PM. Waited in line for 20 minutes and at 3:30PM the employee had a major attitude and told me the prescription wouldn't be ready for at least another hour. I am writing this review in frustration and needing to vent. I don't know if others have noticed how this particular Fry's has really gone down hill as far as customer service and it seems the produce has been sub par as well. I am one that tries to watch the checker as they are scanning just to make sure its the right amount. This technique saves you from going through the customer service line and wasting more of your time getting your correction. I also scrutinize my receipts just in case, and I have caught numerous mistakes that way and have had to go through the customer service line!!! of course the mistakes are never in your favor. Just last week I had to return a couple of apples that had gone bad (within a few days of purchase). I had other shopping to do as well and while I was checking out I told the checker that I had coupons. Well she pushed total and preceded to tell me she couldn't accept the coupons once she pushed total that I could go through the customer service line (this is total bullshit). If it hadn't been busy I would have demanded that the manager give the new person on the job training right then and there! So I went through customer service line and that person, obviously with more experience, said that checker could have taken the coupons. You know and I know but if the help doesn't get trained properly this is what your going to get. So today I'm checking out and the checker rang up the wrong price on my limes ($.59ea instead of $39ea) I brought it to her attention and she said to me "we only have 2 kinds of limes on the list, key limes and regular limes. In fact they have 3 different sizes to choose from Key lime, med limes, and large limes. Thank goodness the lady behind me in line had a bag full of the medium limes and she confirmed the price. Apparently the wrong sticker code was placed on the limes I had picked out. Now we have to be responsible for checking the stickers on our produce too. You know a lot of people are being overcharged and don't notice it so more profit for Fry's!!! My topper bad experience of all time happened a month or so ago when I was checking out and I noticed the young man had wrung up my organic ginger($3.99lb) as something completely different at $6.99lb. I brought it to his attention and he seemed to be flustered and told me he really didn't know what it was and "I just picked out something that I thought was close in price". I told him that he was unfortunately way off and that if he didn't know something then he better ask instead of assuming. Wow he had to ask the checker next to him, and he seemed miffed at me for calling him on it!!!!! My observation is the older employees are more knowledgeable and provide better customer service then their younger counterparts.
