I know you're thinking to yourself....again with a fro-yo review? Well, maybe you're not thinking that, maybe you're not even thinking when you read this review? Think about that. Like I said before, I have now tried every fro-yo place within a three mile radius of my house, no seriously. This one is closest to me, and in fact I can walk here, though I never have because I am lazy. I usually park here and then hate myself for doing so as there are about three usable spots, seriously. Despite the parking lot, I love this place. I love the clean, glass subway tiles and how shiny and pretty everything is. I also love the service I get whenever I come in. The young ladies that work here are always so kind and wanting to help. "Would you like to sample something?" Why yes, yes I would. This is your straight design, weigh and pay yogurt place. They have lots and lots of flavors and I like that they put two yogurts in the same machine that go together well, because guess what guys?!?! You can swirl them!!! Do you like peanut butter and almonds together? SWIRL! They have a large variety of flavors also, so you will not be disappointed, even if you don't want to swirl. The cup sizes are "big" and "rediculously big" and they have your usual toppings and sauce accoutrements. They also have lots of places for you to sit and enjoy your yogurt in modern funky furniture. But you know what I like best about this place, besides the friendly excellent service with a smile that is?!?! You can choose your own spoon color!!! God, I love having options! read more

Death by chocolate... Could there be a better death? I think not. My sister introduced me to this place and I liked it, I really really liked it. Soooooooo much better than Golden Spoon. This place is clean, the machines are new and self-serve, and the selection of flavors is more diverse. I opted for a combination of Birthday Cake and Sea Salt Caramel Pretzel. Both were fabulous, but the Sea Salt Caramel is an amazing mix of savory and sweet. No toppings are necessary. The Michael Unit is a dark chocolate fiend and had the most chocolatey of chocolates I've ever tasted. Death by Chocolate, I believe it was named. Didn't have any issues with parking. Plenty of space available. The hot guy working behind the counter seemed to be the reason why the joint was swimming with teenage girls. Can't say I blame them. I've never been to their other locations, but this is around the corner from my kids' school. We were told to hustle over on opening day because their scales were broken and they were charging a flat rate for fro yo. What I like best about TF is that it's self serve. There's a large choice of yogurt flavors, as other reviewers have mentioned. You can make sure that there's no giant hollow in the center of your yogurt- Pinkberry always does this and it's such a rip off. Then you can heap giant spoonfuls of peanut butter cups on top, or whatever your poison preferences are. Their fruit is fresh, there's a good selection of candies and cereals, and there's even mochi, the topping of choice for my kids and husband. At the end, they weigh your cup ($.30 an ounce). We paid only $2 a fully loaded cup on the broken scales day. On regular days I pay about $4.50 per cup- we use the smallest one (that's still fairly large) and pack it full of fro yo and candy. WAY better deal than Pinkberry. We are addicted! And the candy calories don't count when you mix them with fat free frozen yogurt, right????? read more

I recently moved to the area and was distraught when I found out there wasn't a Yogurtland nearby. It took me a while but I finally warm up to the idea of replacing my weekly Yogurtland with Tutti. Maybe I lived in LA too long but the first thing I thought was, "dang this place is clean!" They've got all the typical flavors like tart, strawberry, cookies n cream, taro, etc. I don't normally favor the tarts but their pineapple/green apple mix was particularly delicious. And I was happy to discover that their blueberry was equally yummy. Ok ok, Tutti won me over. They've got all the necessary toppings and flavors. And the winning factor, it's serve yourself and $.30 an ounce. Which means my $2.50 yogurt trip doesn't change. Tutti is my new friend. read more

Check this out: I'm Yelping about this place while using their free Wi-Fi. Take that, Starbucks-a-couple-yards-away-that-still-charges-for-internets. This place has the makings of a good yogurt place. It has the essentials: 1. Yogurt 2. Something to put your yogurt in Honestly, I don't believe a "froyo" place nowadays can be fantastic. It can only be not-terrible. This place is very not-terrible. It's also cleaner than most places. It offers up to 8 flavor selections (some of which are rotated daily). The toppings are, in my limited froyo expertise, somewhat unique: junior mints, broken waffle cones, and peach rings. Wat? If nothing else, this place is never crowded. I personally prefer this place over yogurtland because it's so close to where I live, they have fruity flavored water and available wifi for when I want to put in a few hours of studying. Oh my god. This place is tops on my fave froyo places...hands fucking down. (Pardon the cursing.) Shaved ice?! On top of the best yogurt flavors? They had the tartiest plain tart, the bluest blueberry, tropical orgasm passion fruit paired next to sweet and refreshing pomegranate. They also had a neon orange sorbet, SPLENDA strawberry, strawverry cheesecake and even BIRTHDAY cake.. wtf? This is a great neighborhood frozen yogurt cafe. I call it a cafe and not a shop because it earns the "cafe" status for several reasons and these things set it apart from the "other" self serve fro yo place: --this place is quite large and spacious --they play kids movies on a large screen tv and have wi-fi. Wow a place that's actually wants you to stay and hang out for a bit??? ( the other place just wants to take your money and have you out of the store) --plenty of seating that is inviting to you and your kids to hang out a bit. The other things that I noticed: ---extremely clean and organized ---you are not crammed in a narrow space when you are trying to get your yogurt. ---the toppings are really clean and organized and they have a great Oreo whip cream machine. For the actual taste of the yogurt---I would say it is similar to the "other" place. Price is also same or similar. I like my fro yo less sweet but this place is about the same. Yeah Tutti Frutti Frozen yogurt redeem itself. I decided to give it another chance, but at a different location near CSULB. I think this one is a lot bigger than the other location and the prices are clear $.30 an ounce. It is pretty clean for the most part and I would award it 4 and a half, but it does not deserve a 5 stars. Unfortunately, the floors were super sticky when I got there and the tables where not clean. The yogurt station where you fill the toppings was super clean and appealing. I definitely go back now.The tables were not clean, but then again plenty of kids were there as well so maybe that is the excuse, I do not know. Not much of a difference between Yogurtland and Tutti Frutti. It's a self serve yogurt shop where they charge by the ounce ($.60 per oz.) with plenty of flavors to choose from as well as having an assortment of toppings to accompany your yogurt. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how this place works but it truly is easy and you'll wonder why someone never came up with this idea 15 years ago. I'm a sucker for cookies and cream and cheesecake yogurt topped with strawberries, kiwi, almonds, oreos, and cookie dough. I know that might sound like a strange mixture to you but it's comfort food for me so back off! Haha.. As you might guess, this place gets busy during the summer because suprisingly enough, though Long Beach has the word "beach" in it's name, it gets super hot during the summer and Tutti Frutti is a nice escape if you don't want to try fighting for parking at Yogurtland by 7th St. Come to think of it, the parking is also kind of bad at this location because of the Del Taco, Starbucks, Domino's Pizza, and Subway. But if this is about choosing between the lesser of two evils, I would choose this Tutti Frutti location anyday. However, there is nothing evil about cookies and cream and cheesecake yogurt topped with strawberries, kiwi, almonds, oreos, and cookie dough. read more

I think they have the best flavors for yogurt ever. I had the cappuccino, strawberry, pomegranate, and watermelon. The toppings weren't all that though. Our favorite place for frozen yogurt! This place is always clean and well stocked, plus there is more seating than your typical frozen yogurt shop. The kids can enjoy a movie on the tv screen instead of running around on a sugar high. They also have Dole Whip which I know is a favorite of some people. They also have shave ice and Starbucks is a few shops away so you can have coffee if you prefer and the kids can have their dessert at the same time. read more

I loooove Tutti Fruitti!! They have the best flavors and they don't taste as fake as the flavors at Yogurtland. The strawberry actually tastes like real strawberries. Everything is always extremely clean and the people who work here are always friendly. The only thing that I don't like is how there is no outdoor seating so I can't bring my dog, but the location just isn't suited for it. This is my favorite yogurt place. Unlike Yogurtland, it isn't packed with a million people who mix toppings so when you go to get some strawberries there's some mystery topping mixed in. I also like that they have a hot fudge dispenser for those rare days when I want creamy yogurts instead of tart with fruits on top. All toppings are fresh and refilled often. The place I used to go for my late night yogurt fix always seemed to have the same flavors, and on the occasion a new one came out-the machine was out of order. I'm going to rank the frozen yogurt shops in our neighborhood's radius, since really there isn't much more to say about Tutti Frutti that hasn't already been fully covered already. 1. Yogurt Twist (on Los Alamitos Blvd., next to Nick's) - Tastes slightly creamier than the others, even the tart flavors. Pricey at $0.35/ounce, but punch card brings average price in line with other choices. Might have the best topping selection of the bunch. Definitely the easiest parking. Bad part about YT is the red-light cameras at Katella/Los Al. 2. Tutti Frutti - Good selection, discount card brings the price down, might have the best fruit flavors overall. Parking is atrocious, to the point of being DANGEROUS. (Seriously.) It will be interesting, with school starting again soon, to see whether the Free Wi Fi adds to the congestion here. 3. Wildberry (near Stater Bros.) - The cleanest on the list, in my 3 stops there. Pricier than the others at net $0.35 ounce (no discount or frequency cards). I rank their tart flavors third behind YT and TF. 4. Yogurtland (at 7th and PCH) - A longer drive (although you can cut through CSULB after 5 pm!) for a more crowded, "hipper" experience. Their yogurt seems more watery to me than the above three. 5. Golden Spoon (near Target) - They call this frozen yogurt, but I'm not a fan. read more

This place is ALWAYS spotless. the yogurt is inexpensive and there is a wide array of toppings. they are always playing the cutest movies here and have gotten to know my boyfriend and i quite well since we are there on a weekly basis. the shave ice is really good too they have alot of flavors to mix. and then i put gummi bears on it and it made it even better. ive only gotten it once though. as of right now im hooked on the birthday cake flavored yogurt. i was so happy when they brought that flavor back! they also have marshmallows which they usually have shaped like whatever time of year it is (halloween ghost marshmallows and such) and my little cousins i bring here always get a kick out of it. read more
