I'm in town for a conference and always check out local coffee shops so this was on my list. I honestly didn't know what to expect, I opted for one of the seasonal drinks which was the Iced Log Cabin, it was on the sweet side but pretty good and the service was amazing. I may be back just to check out a regular latte before I head back home to CA.

In a really cool old train station GREAT vibe, Young folks on staff from the front door to inside the restaurant nice big open area with a lot of ambiance. So I went over there to get soup and salad but I found out they serve breakfast until 5:00 p.m. woohoo!!! So the hot sauce that I asked for as a side tonight wonderful omelette is kick butt awesome the guy who waited on me said they use some of their cold brew to make it it's a local hot sauce it's gritty and it's great back to the omelette wonderfully made with fresh eggs from Kentucky and local bacon very yummy and a side of fabulous sourdough bread. Amazing find.

My wife and I ate breakfast at the Frothy Monkey while staying at a nearby hotel. It's in the old Chattanooga train station so the vibe is very historic with exposed brick for character. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Their menu isn't huge but they do have a variety of options; I went for a standard eggs, bacon, and toast breakfast and shared a biscuit flight with my wife, which was excellent (the variety of butters was a nice touch). The restaurant was busy and I think they were short a server or two as it took 20+ minutes to get my cup of drip coffee; thankfully it wasn't my first cup of the day and they did volunteer to comp it. The food also took a while but it was all very good (including the coffee) so worth the wait. If you're looking for a good breakfast option in the area give Frothy Monkey a try if you're not in a rush.

Easy 5 stars on setting/environment; just an incredibly great place for a restaurant. Another easy 5 stars for service; great job, everyone :) - Huevos Rolandos: Just ok. Hash flavors were muddled, with perhaps too much tomato; tortillas could have been fresher; provided Hoff Hot Sauce balance was off - too much vinegar, not enough peppers. - Smoked Gouda grits: ate bland, better after added salt & pepper; smoked Gouda taste was subtle to the point of being almost absent. - Brewed coffee: Good! Layered palate, medium strength, no undo bitterness. Would definitely return, but would try different dishes.

Super nice service -- traditional macchiato paired with cheese grits anyone? What a great environment at the Choo Choo station, with great service.

It's a quick walk from the Hotel Chalet where we stayed while visiting Chattanooga. It is massive inside, but they make good use of space. Despite being so spacious & open it's quite inviting & cozy. It's an all day cafe and they seem to have an interesting, delicious variety of coffee & teas. I ordered the blue velvet which looks funky but was refreshing & tasty. It's a mixture of matcha tonic and blueberry mint & not overly sweet. I would have loved to order a latte but we were fueling up for a hike & I didn't want nature calling in too early in the hike. I had the Gail salad which was light & yummy but filling as well. OUr server said the 1/2 salad was a fairly big size, she wasn't kidding. I'm glad I listened to her. They offer an array of pastries, coffee & entrees. Restrooms are clean & stylish & located in the old metro train station. There is plenty of seating inside and on a second floor indoor balcony & outdoor patio seating. I would have made a return trip while there but we ran out of time.

First of all, you can't go wrong with ambience of a coffee shop in an old train station. This place looked so cool. The servers got us to a seat very quickly. They were all super super nice!! We did not eat here but the menu looked great. We did have coffee and that was awesome. I had the Golden Monkey Latte. I wasn't really sure about the turmeric on there but I really loved it. It was the absolute perfect combo of spices. Love this place, will be back!! Try it out! Cheers!

Sandwich was mid. I didn't even finish it because it wasn't that good. They definitely are not egg experts here. I was excited to try food here because I've had the coffee before and it's great. The location is nice and the interior is pretty. That's all I have to say.

Since it was our first visit and everything on the menu spoke to us, she helped steer us in the right direction. I ended up ordering the pistachio croissant, and honestly... I'd go back for that alone. It was warm, huge by croissant standards, and absolutely heavenly. I even grabbed another one to take home because Future Me deserved a little happiness too. We also tried the raspberry lemon danish, which was a delicious combo, but the pistachio croissant stole the show without breaking a sweat. We started with the poutine, and while it wasn't the traditional version I've had before, it was incredible. Instead of cheese curds blocks, it came with pulled pork and melted cheese, and somehow it just worked. Comfort food with a little Southern flair. For breakfast, we had the ham and cheese omelet with breakfast potatoes. It was exactly what you want it to be--classic, satisfying, and impossible to regret if that's your usual order. I also tried the Liquid Gold juice. Their juice selection is impressive, but I may have accidentally found my forever order on the first try. It was so refreshing, with just a hint of ginger. For a hot drink, I highly recommend the London fog. I'm not usually a tea fan but if you don't want coffee, this is an excellent option. Before we left, we picked up some of their salted caramels to go, and they make the perfect little gift... assuming you have enough self-control not to eat them all in the car. The vibe here is upscale southern diner. One of the signs on the wall said, "All are welcome, but you need to act right," and honestly, that's the kind of life advice we could all use. I also really appreciated that parking was free. In Chattanooga these days it's hard finding a place where you don't have to scan a QR code, download an app, and pay to park just to eat. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Milk & Honey is absolutely worth a visit...and if you're debating the pistachio croissant, stop debating and just order it. Your only regret will be not getting a second one.

We spent some time outside before being seated, but the food and service made it worth it. I stayed in my carrier throughout the meal and was able to join my humans indoors. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and never made us feel out of place. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was lively, and the service was attentive even though the restaurant was busy. Now for the most important part of this review. While enjoying brunch, I witnessed something I never expected to see: a baby goat riding around the restaurant in a pet stroller. At that moment, I realized Chattanooga may be one of the most pet-friendly places I've ever visited. Between the great food, kind staff, and unforgettable people-watching opportunities, Milk & Honey ended up being one of our favorite brunch stops of the trip. Dogba's verdict: Excellent brunch, friendly service, comfortable carrier dining, and unexpected goat encounters. Five paws !

Dogs aren't allowed inside unless they're service animals, but honestly, the outdoor space is where you want to be anyway. The patio is huge, with covered sections and outdoor heaters that kept us comfortable even when the weather turned rainy. We visited on a wet day and never felt like we were settling for "the dog section." The food was consistently excellent, and the happy hour menu made it an easy choice for a casual meal or drinks. My humans were happy with their food, and I was thrilled when they ordered me a side of chicken. It disappeared almost immediately, which I consider the highest possible review. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between lively and relaxed. There is plenty of room to spread out, and the outdoor space feels welcoming rather than crowded. We didn't know and went straight to outdoor seating, which worked out because we got a table and about a minute later we figured out the ordering process. I ordered the chicken salad croissant for my wife, then the California club for myself and then I had to order quiche Lorraine for the table. I had filtered tap water for my drink and my wife had a can of Diet Coke with a slice of lemon and ice in a cup, provided. Service was pretty quick, between our order placement and table delivery it was 7 minutes. The quiche was custardy inside with a delicious hint of caramelized shallots to go with the bacon and cheese/egg filling. The bacon did not overwhelm. The crust was perfectly baked and a nice flakey crust. The accompanying arugula and onion salad dresses with oil and vinegar and seasonings was an excellent pairing of freshness with the richer quiche. This is a big hit, as expected when advertised on the menu as "available until sold out." The California Club was on 6 grain toasted bread with an avocado spread and aioli, bacon, turkey, tomato and lettuce. I really liked the balance of each component in this sandwich, such that nothing dominated the flavors and each distinctive was individually identifiable in the contribution to the whole sandwich. The portion was just right. The chicken salad was also good, but was the bronze medal winner compared to the other two. The croissant was flaky, but not too much. The chicken salad had just a hint of lemon and was not overwhelmed with aioli, just the right balance. This was a fantastic meal. We liked this so much, we chose to buy two loaves of bread to go, a Chattanooga Sourdough and a garlic Parmesan and also a 5 lb bag of in house ground bread flour. I need one of these in Greenville, SC, my hometown. Last thing to note, you bus your own table and there is a dish basin nearby the outside dining area in which to place your dishes. This was an excellent lunch spot. The staff were also friendly and patiently helpful. This is a must visit spot when visiting or living in Chattanooga!

They also have a refrigerated grab-and-go section with fresh juices, rice paper rolls, chia seed pudding, and a lentil casserole. The glass dessert case is full of vegan treats like peanut butter and chocolate cups, bliss balls, and donuts. The menu is extensive with tons of great organic vegan options. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough (they also offer gluten-free and multigrain) with cashew cheese and a side of chili. I also got a beet juice, a lemon lavender muffin, chia seed pudding, and a decaf oat milk latte. The sandwich was pretty good. The bread seemed really fresh and I enjoyed the cashew cheese. The side of chili had a slight twist that elevated it above most regular chili recipes. It was good, but had a little too much corn for my taste personally. The beet juice was delicious and a generous portion. The desserts were just okay, but I appreciated that they weren't overly sweet and didn't have any weird ingredients. Honestly, it's just so nice knowing your food has no weird ingredients and everything is organic! The only downside was the coffee. Honestly, it was probably one of the worst I've ever had. Maybe it was just an off day or a mistake, I'm not sure. Everything else was good though! I would definitely recommend this spot. The decor is really cute and inviting. I love that they offer plenty of seating options too -- indoor, an enclosed outdoor patio, and an exterior exposed patio. Logistical Notes: Parking was super easy with a lot right out front. There are two accessible bathrooms for people with disabilities, and I love that they have a gender-inclusive restroom as well. You order at the register, they bring you your food, and then you bus your own "tray."
