We were disappointed with Frosty's when we went shortly after they opened and decided to try again, choosing the drive through. The person was not friendly at all, in fact she was rude. Seemed to be the only one handed the window. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. No explanation or anything. She didn't even say goodbye. Very poor customer service skills. The food was better than the last time, especially considering the price. Yet I think when we are choosing to grab something to eat, we will go elsewhere due to the lack of people skills employed. Been here twice this week and I wish I didn't live so far away cause their burgers are AMAZING!!! Staff is extremely nice and service was fast! Stopped in on the way home from my step daughters cross country meet. My husband ordered a pineapple milkshake and curly fries. Nothing remarkable, but not bad either. I ordered a chicken salad and an Oreo frosty. The Oreo frosty was pretty good, as was the chicken salad. However, i had horrible food poisoning the next day. I'm guessing they don't get many salad orders and I got some bad lettuce. Staff wasn't overly friendly but they weren't rude either. Tables were dirty. My wife and I stopped in last night for dessert. We ordered a large swirl in a cup for me and a small Candy Mix-in with Oreo for my wife. The gal taking the order confirmed it before we pulled forward to the window. We paid and then received my wife's item and were told to have a great night. So after an explanation we were told we didn't pay for the large swirl but they can charge the card again and make it. Definitely odd. The sizes were also confusing. My large was considerably smaller than my wife's "small" dessert. Ice cream was just okay. Not sure we'll go back. read more

Stopped in on our trip back home from New Melones lake. First I would like to point out that they let me bring my dog inside as it was over 100 degrees outside and there is not many, if any dog friendly establishments in town. I promised to keep hertowards the back of the business and away from people, which I did. This act of kindness was a big plus for me. The food servings were huge. So big I only ate half of my curly fries after I killed off my pastrami melt. The selection of burgers and sandos is big as well. Last but not least was the "Energy Drink Freeze". This has been a convenient place to stop between the ski area and the Bay Area. The food, for fast food, has been passable.Today is an early day in September. The temperature inside is hotter than outside. The employees should not have to work on these conditions. Same on the management/owners -- it's over 90 degrees in the restaurant. read more

Gave them another try yesterday. The place is still a mess with big boxes of cups covering most of the front counter. I decided to try a burger. It was big, but awful. Whatever was supposed to be bacon in there was not like any bacon I have ever seen. The whole burger looked as if someone had sat on it and smashed it. We really wanted to like this restaurant, but were so disappointed. The food was horrible, how do you screw up on a corn dog?? Or a soft serve chocolate dipped ice cream cone?...the ice cream was too soft so the chocolate didn't harden and it was a mess...which I was willing to overlook, but I ended up throwing the whole thing out because the chocolate had a nasty taste to it. This restaurant could do really well up here if they just produced a higher quality product. read more

I agree with Michael N who left a review. Pastrami Sammy was awful just dry and nasty. The 2 tacos were also another mystery meat I guess. Tossed those out. The fries and zucchini sticks were edible. It seems I kept going back thinking maybe it's because their new and just have to work out the kinks... well it seems that they don't understand NO ONIONS and they have not once got my order correct. Good size burgers, more than I could eat. Well made and tasty. One order of onion rings that are crisp are enough for 2 people and the same with the fries. Friendly people and clean restaurant. I almost didn't come after reading a couple of the other reviews...glad I did! read more

I commented on how slow they are when they first opened. The excuse was made that they were newly opened and working out some bugs. But it's been quite some time and it's the same. Slow as molasses. Frosty is great, but the young blonde girl they have on drive thru makes me want to reject my order every time. Terrible attitude and a head full of air. Makes ordering a chore, doesn't even try to listen or get an order right. If you're gonna be high learn how to function at work first. They have restrooms,yes plural, BUT they have a sign saying no public restrooms, they use an it's an old building excuse, they really are unfriendly & act like you're an inconvenience. This restaurant is poorly managed if managed at all. Staff ignored me for several minutes, walking by with no acknowledgment that I was there. They were more worried about tips than any customer, the two girls just chatted amongst themselves about money. I now understand the reason why at 5:30 pm on a Friday night there was one table with four people and no one at the drive through. Fire your teenage staff, they are ruining your business. Cutting a banana on stainless steel, hands all over the ice cream she was making with no gloves, totally disgusting. One young blond yelled a sarcastic remark to me as I walked out of the door because I asked for napkins and there was none there. Every time we have gone in, it's a mess. Dirty tables and floors. Cleaning rags and buckets just sitting around on counters. Bathrooms out of order. Cardboard boxes and supplies everywhere- inside and out. Orders wrong. Out of co2 for soda fountain. Super greasy food. We were in angels camp for a birthday celebration we had pizza at MIKES PIZZA and saw FROSTY across the street and said why not let's try it and get a shake. Oh boy were we wrong to even step foot in that place. First of all there was trash on the floor and the trash cans were overflowing. The cashier was nice but didn't know at all what she was doing. We ordered two medium shakes, a butterscotch and caramel, we ordered @6:17pm and ended up leaving the restaurant @6:47pm. I would've asked for a refund but on the receipt it says "No refunds. We will exchange or fix any items." From what the other staff member said was that the cashier started our shakes and didn't finish them, then we find out that she didn't even make them correctly and they needed to be remade. Keep in mind there were 4 other people waiting for shakes that came in after us. The 2 teenagers that ordered right after us seemed as if they were related (her sister, they looked a lot alike) to the cashier. The cashier immediately made hers instead of making everyone else's that was before or after us/the sister. The only reason why we even got our shakes/ were acknowledged was because of the other staff member, she was done working the drive thru (no more cars) and was free to help with the cashier up front. We only came in for two shakes. When we finally did get our two shakes,after 30 min, they both tasted like plain vanilla ice cream you get out of the machine. I know this place in a rinky dink kinda place but my god. The service and food were absolutely horrible. Never going back when I do come back to angels camp. read more
