So many great places to eat in Belmont shore wherever you eat, skip the dessert and come here for a wonderful cupcake they are delicious. The frosting melts in your mouth. The store is an adorable Hometown vibe with seating outside and inside. Service is friendly and Prompt.
It was fine. The frosting was good and the cake on the inside was moist and tasty. Nothing earth shattering just a solid cupcake that does not disappoint. Check em out
This small yet very tasty cupcake spot is in Long Beach on 2nd street. The cupcakes are very good as they have many options. We got 3 and they were all good especially the coconut vanilla cupcake. If you are walking the strip here have a craving for sweets, stop here and quench that thirst for sweets.
I wanted a few cupcakes to honor my late maternal grandmother and found a few items that my mom and I could have. The store is neat - decorated with an awesome mural, several candles and gift items. My mom enjoyed plain vanilla and I had the cookie butter (light flavor) and coffee gluten-free (more pronounced flavor) varieties. Each had moist cakes and an appropriate amount of frosting. The cashiers were friendly, however there was a missed opportunity to have me sign up for the rewards program. When paying, I was asked if I was participating and stated, no, this is my first visit. They proceeded to close me out but did not explain the benefits nor invite me to join. Otherwise, I had no issues and would love to return to try more flavors.
I've been a huge frosted cupcakes fan since the beginning of time. Even before Sprinkles came along. They are superior to all cupcakes in the land. I usually go for the 4 pack and mix up the flavors each time. I love their red velvet, royal white with chocolate or vanilla buttercream, and the strawberry with cream cheese are all heavy hitters. The 4 pack doesn't last long in my house. Nothing goes to waste when it comes to these cupcakes. The staff is always friendly and ready to assist you with your cupcake needs. You just pick and choose at the counter through the glass enclosure which ones are coming home with you. Everything is clean, and organized. I can't wait to come back for another 4 pack. I might mess around and get a 6 pack next time :)
Wanted something small and sweet to treat myself and I came across Frosted Cupcakery at the end of 2nd street. Cute and clean bakery specializing in cupcakes. I got the red velvet and thought it was delicious. Will be back soon
Ive been a patron of Frosted from day one. I've purchased hundreds of cupcakes over the years... seems they're a bit smaller than they used to be. Wondering why that is? Yesterday, I purchased 2 chocolate cupcakes and was so surprised they were dry. Hoping that Frosted management will consider my feedback. There are so many new desert options on 2nd street ... I'd hate to see this business slip.
We were in the area and decided to drop in and pick up some cupcakes. The spot is esthetically pleasant with beautiful wall murals, displays, and beautiful cup cake counter. The staff were welcoming, warm, polite, and attentive. They went over the cupcakes flavors, which was great being it was our first visit. They offer an assortment of cupcakes and other bakeries good like cake pops and cookies with vegan options. We purchased several cupcakes and all were well crafted, freshly made, and simply delectable. My favorite was the chocolate with peanut butter, so good! We'll definitely be back when in the area!!
I highly recommend them I've been using them for birthday parties and other events for 10yrs strong I've never been disappointed I've even had there chocolate vegan cupcake and it tastes the same as the regular one just as moist and soft as can be I'm drooling just talking about them it's fair pricing for over the top quality I haven't found another cupcake place yet I prefer them over nothing Bundt cakes they have a flavor of the month and it's located in a nice spot for restaurants and a little bit of shopping the beach is right there so you could take your cupcake and enjoy the breeze and they have a rewards points system it's free to sign up the service is always immaculate very kind and patient in the photo are a Lemon / Cream Cheese Cupcake Royal White / Chocolate Buttercream Cupcake Chocolate / Vanilla Buttercream Cupcake The flavor of the month keylime cream cheese I also had a strawberry but it's gone already each one pack full of flavor you won't regret the buy
So boom -- it's my son's 17th birthday, and me being me... of course I waited until the very last minute to figure out dessert. I found Frosted Cupcakery on DoorDash and they did not disappoint! I'm a delivery girl through and through, so the fact that I could get something cute, fast, and actually good-tasting delivered? 10/10. These cupcakes were fresh, moist, and super cute -- like they understood the assignment and had extra credit. My favorite was the strawberry lemonade -- that one stole the show. Tangy, sweet, and the little gummy on top? Love. I didn't even wanna share mine. If you're like me and often thrive in chaos (aka last minute birthday planning), this is your spot. Thank you Frosted for making my son's day a little sweeter -- and saving me from a mom fail.
Ok ok so I'm so confused because I seriously thought I had left a review for this place AGES ago!! Like a decade ago at least but I had not and I been many times ... in fact I went today and I didn't take pics of the outside or inside because well I go here typically whenever I'm hanging out 2nd street I did manage to a take a pic of my cupcakes in the box and also took a screenshot of a pic I took in 2012 of the special cupcake they had for Halloween which was a pumpkin spice version and let me say it was delicious just like ALL their cupcakes are This is my FAV cupcake joint hands down and I'm always telling people to come Love their fresh flavors and light moist cakes and their frosting is sooo good I'm telling you it's a perfect balance of things They only bake a certain amount daily so if you arrive later in the day you may not get options of some flavors so go earlier or anytime really you won't be disappointed. The service is always friendly and super nice people working here. And they have a rewards program too! Free! And they make pupcakes for your doggy it's awesome
This was my to go place for cupcake or sweet craving when they 1st opened for month til my dentist told me to cut off for awhile (I know), it's addictive. My fav are lemon, red velvet and hi-top. It just simply creamy, soft, sweet, fluffy and delicious. Hard for me to say no to it. The services here are just wonderful with nice and helpful staff. The place is clean cut, cozy, neat and inviting with couple tables seating. The cupcakes just simple clean and inviting displace. Still love this place.
Really good cupcakes! Friendly service! And my kids loved the frosting shots (99 cents per). The seasonal flavor, strawberry lemonade, had real chunks of strawberry in it and they look so cute. We also tried chocolate peanut butter and strawberry cream cheese and a couple of others. These were a big hit with my family. Each one is just over $5, which I thought was a little expensive. You get a little bit of a discount if you buy six or twelve. But generally, this is a solid cupcake option!

This place is a must try in the area of Long Beach. Your sweet tooth will be completely satisfied with their wide variety of cupcake options. There is different types of flavors for every person in here and they even have pupcakes (for dogs). I'm a huge dog lover so seeing the pupcakes on the menu made me very happy. I got the chocolate chocolate cupcake and it was delicious. I'm a huge chocolate lover and I was loving every bite I took of this cupcake. The cupcake was so moist that it complemented well with their chocolate frosting. I honestly think this place sells cupcakes that are a lot better quality than sprinkles cupcakes because their bread is nice and moist. I also ordered an ice cream cupcake that had cookies & cream inside. I've never had an ice cream cupcake and though this was quite interesting and very creative concept. I had to wait about 30 minutes to eat it because it was still frozen when I bought it so that was the only downside but once I tried it, my taste buds where so happy. The combination of the chocolate cupcake with the vanilla icing and the cookies and cream ice cream was just perfect. read more

If you like moist cupcakes you have found the right spot. I liken this place to sprinkles cupcakes just with more moderately sized portions. I am a peanut butter lover so the fact that they had the peanut butter cupcake today made this trip almost automatically 5 stars. The peanut butter topping was sweet but not overpowering or overly done like other places tend to do. The cupcake itself was moist and chocolates to its very core. I have had other cupcakes here before and I have always really enjoyed them so I think whatever your taste may be, you'll have a sure hit here. read more

Since discovering Frosted Cupcakery years ago, I have been a consistent customer. I'm not big on sweets, but I definitely enjoy their goodies when I need a fix! Their cupcakes have never disappointed. They are always delicious and super moist and I haven't had a bad one, yet. The Lemon are my favorite, but I also like the Strawberry, Cookies & Cream topped with crushed Oreos (my daughter's favorite), and the Red Velvet. I also love their Salted Caramel Hi-Tops which has caramel butter cream in between two pieces of cake and it's sprinkled with sea salt! So AMAZING!! I wish they made that in a cupcake! They also have other flavors like Royal White and Vanilla Buttercream, Carrot and Cream Cheese, Chocolate Caramel Buttercream Toffee, Chocolate and Peanut Butter Buttercream covered in a crushed Butterfingers Candy Bar, Royal White and Nutella, Mint Chocolate Chip, and even an Orange or Pumpkin Cream Cheese! For those of you who are allergic to gluten, they always offer a gluten-free option. This month's gluten-free choice is a Banana Pineapple Coconut Cream Cheese cupcake! Even if you're not allergic to gluten, their gluten-free cupcakes taste just like a regular one! They just started having a Mini Monthly Social on the 1st of every month for about 3 hours. Usually on the first day of every month, they offer a free mini cupcake sample of their flavor of the month. I remember before, it would be an all-day thing on the first day of the month only, but now, they have specific hours for you to sample the goods. Those flavors range from Apple Cinnamon (January 2016 Flavor of the Month), Cherry Chocolate Chip (February 2016 Flavor of the Month) to the Almond Toasted Coconut (March 2016 Flavor of the Month). They are open everyday from 11am to 9pm, but don't wait too long in the day, because they start running out of some of the favorites around late afternoon. They have another location in Hermosa, as well, but I've never been to that one. If you walk in to buy cupcakes, you can only buy two dozen at a time, but if you order ahead, you can get as many as you want. They can be kind of pricey; a dozen is around $30.00. You can also order cupcakes for parties and they have cupcake tiers that you can rent. read more

It was a sign from the cupcake goddess. My two favorite cupcakes were sitting in the case right next to each other.. strawberry and red velvet., side by side! That is exactly what I ordered. Red Velvet: I was asked if I would wait 5 minutes because a fresh batch was coming out. Yup, I did. Buttery, creamy, smoothly textured frosting that had sin written all over it. The cupcake was moist and rich. My first bite made me think of my dentist. It was soo soo sweet and tasty that I am bound to get some cavities out of this. Strawberry-Pretty much the same. At 2.95, these were a deal. So, most of my friends gave this place 4 stars. That's nice. I am giving it five. I have been to sprinkles and susie cakes and have had European and Scandinavian versions... but these were just great. And the price??? I have paid up to 6 bucks for a cupcake half as good and that left a bad taste in my mouth. So, cupcakes are expensive when you can get the same at Von's for half the cost. I beg to differ. I never had cupcakes look this beautiful or taste this sinful from Von's. Staff was great. Parking?? Well, it's smack dab in the middle of Belmont Shore. There are meters. Jolie D! Review #400 After a recent lunch get together in Long Beach with a fellow Yelper, I had a hankering for something sweet. Not being real familiar with the immediate area and the fact that we aren't in the area all that often I loaded up my trusty Yelp app to search for a tasty delight, low and behold Frosted Cupcakery appeared to satisfy my craving. Frosted Cupcakery is located off 2nd street in a very busy stretch of Long Beach so parking can be a bit difficult but you should find some in the neighboring side streets without too much trouble. Frosted is a cute and quaint little shop with a rather large assortment of cupcakes, mini cupcakes, jumbo cupcakes, ice cream cupcakes, Hi top cupcakes (mini cup cake sandwiches) and even pupcakes for your loyal pets. The prices are quite good at $2.95 per cupcake ($30 for a dozen) or $.75 for the pet friendly pupcakes. Frosted offers around 20 flavors at any given time along with seasonal favorites such as pumpkin or banana and even does ice cream cupcakes for birthday celebrations. The staff is fast, efficient and very friendly. I believe they limit you to 2 dozen cupcakes for walk-ins but take special orders for larger requests. As this was our first visit to Frosted me and the wife opted for a 4 pack of cupcakes in assorted flavors. My wife went with the cookies and cream and royal white/chocolate butter cream while I opted for chocolate chocolate and chocolate/mint chocolate butter cream. All 4 cupcakes were delicious, tasted fresh and made with great tasting ingredients. We also picked up a couple of pupcakes to bring back home to the pups (which they quickly gobbled up). Other cupcake places we have been cost upward of $5-6 per cupcake and were nowhere even close to as flavorful of those from Frosted. For the health conscious consumers gluten free options are also available (see menu for available flavors). I can speak for myself when I say outside of ice cream I am not a huge eater of sweets but these delightful morsels made a lasting impression and I am more than ready for a follow-up visit. If you are a fan of quality cupcakes, made fresh to order and frosted by hand at the time of order then this place will be right up your alley. I have seen that many of my fellow Yelp friends have already discovered this place in their travels and I am glad that we gave them a try as we are now fans for life. Frosted is definitely my favorite cupcake place to date and I am sure they will be getting plenty of business from us from here on out when we pass through the area. read more

She asked if I wanted anything. I told her to surprise me because I really don't care for most cupcake places (as I often find they are too hyped up or too sweet). I waited in the car for her. About 10 mins later, she came back with a big bag (literally) of treats. She handed over this Banana & Chocolate Buttercream cupcake and urged me to devour it. I had one bite....and OMG.....let's just say I made that cupcake disappear faster than a magician. Holy Moly....damn that was good! It was soooooo moist, with hints of mashed banana in the yellow based cake with perfect sweetness of the chocolate buttercream. JC downed Royal White/Salted Caramel Buttercream hi-top cupcakes. She swears this is one of their best flavors. I am so sold on Frosted Cupcakery (thank you JC) and really excited they have another store closer to me in Hollywood. read more

Happy birthday to me! For one of my only presents in my 28 yrs of awesome, my little bro loaded me up with cupcakes! Their frosting is quite softer than Sprinkles Red, but it held nicely. Also, that edible item that indicates the kind of cupcake tastes superior to those almost inedible round wafers. The red velvet cake itself was spongy and incredibly moist. I could eat these all day. - one chocolate/chocolate - too much chocolate for me, but that's my personal taste. The frosting was great. The cake was great. The combo was not for me. - one strawberry - It seems red velvet has gone viral. It almost leaves one of my favorites, strawberry, in the dust. For me, strawberry cupcakes are classic and timeless. FC's version of the strawberry was spot on. Yet again those adj of moist and spongy come to mind, but you can't deny the truth. Yum! - one carrot cake - I find it odd that carrot cakes don't even taste like carrots, but who cares when they taste so damn awesome. I loved this cupcake. It embodies all the glory that is the carrot cake, but in a more personalized form. In all honesty, these were some of the best cupcakes I've ever eaten. None of them were overly sweet. I fell in love with this place almost instantly. Found it on a Yelp search and just had to check it out. The parking was a bit hard to find; the streets were packed. I was able to park about a block away in a neighborhood. Looking at all the cupcakes, I had a hard time choosing. They all looked really good. If course, I asked which were the most popular, to which they said the strawberry cream cheese, red velvet, and one of the chocolate ones (Idk which one exactly). My friend and I got the strawberry one, nutella, chocolate, and one red velvet hi-top. Hi-tops are like mini cupcakes that have been cut in half with icing in the middle, a cupcake sandwich. Everything met my high expectations. The decor was simple yet adorable. The cake part was soft and moist. The best one was the strawberry one. I don't know how a place as mediocre as Sprinkles becomes so popular; Frosted Cupcakery is superior by far. read more
Another amazing find due to hubby+Yelp! We were hanging out with another fellow Yelper for lunch, and since we are not in this area often, my husband decided to see what desserts were nearby. Frosted Cupcakery was a little over a mile away and we decided to stop by and check it out. It is located off 2nd Street on the busy part of the Long Beach/Belmont Shore area. It is a nice little busy street with many places to check out such as restaurants, bars, coffee shops, desserts, and pooch places. I will definitely have to come back and check out some more. We walked in and it was busy and quick. I don't remember what all flavors they had this day but I remember that there were many and a lot of them sounded fancy and delicious. They also have seasonal flavors to check out. I definitely need to find out when they will have the banana cupcakes with chocolate frosting and stop by. Yummy! We decided to go with four. I got the cookies and cream and the chocolate white royal. (White cupcake with chocolate frosting). My husband got the chocolate chocolate as well as the mint and chip. We also ordered two little pupcakes for our pups. What also made me fall in love with this place is the fact that their cupcakes are only $2.95, where most cupcake places will run you around $5-$6 for the same thing. Pupcakes are .75 cents each. A bit small, but cute and it makes your furry friend happy. They also offer cake toppers and even gift boxes to bring home a birthday cupcake for a friend. Surprisingly I loved the chocolate white royal more than the cookies and cream, but found both to be so delicious. So moist, and so full of flavor! I am ready for more! Sadly I am not close to Frosted Cupcakery, and when I am near the area I am alone with one of my pups, so it will be hard for me to stop in. Still the best white cake around. The nutella and white cake is my all-time fav. I like it even better than Susiecake's red velvet and that cupcake is pretty darn good. Right now they have two seasonals: an eggnog one with same flavor frosting and a gingerbread with a lemon buttercream frosting. I didn't try em, but if that's your thing eat one and let me know how it is!!! Service is always friendly, but the annoying thing is they always try to upsell you on candles and other decorative things, but they NEVER give you a bag with handles unless you ask. I don't wanna carry a box around 2nd while I am trying to eat/shop or drink a coffee. Otherwise, I appreciate the fact that their cupcakes are always moist and the frosting isn't overly sweet and sugary. read more

I'll have to try out different flavor cupcakes and options before the 5 but so far, Frosted Cupcakery has won my cupcake business while I'm in Long Beach! Had some of Frosted Cupcakery's cupcakes for a co-workers birthday this week. The designs on the cupcakes were simple but it's really all it needed! I dove in for the chocolate cupcake with mint chocolate chip buttercream. YUM! It was sweet (don't think a cupcake would be good if it didn't give you a little bit of a sugar rush) but not excessively sweet where you needed to drink a gallon of water after finishing. Soft, moist, delicious and flavorful! I also eyed the strawberry one but I couldn't do 2 cupcakes in a day... Why was I cursed with slow metabolism?! $30 for a dozen or $2.95 each. Also sell GLUTEN FREE cupcakes! The apple cinnamon one was really good and tasted like a normal cupcake. Wouldn't be able to tell it was gluten free (Had a bad experience with gluten-free cookies.... BLEH). Definitely will be back to try other flavors and hi-tops =) read more
Damn, these are some awesome cupcakes! Shane D. and I made a mad rush here because we were having dinner at Natraj at 8 and Frosted closed at 9. There were a few cupcakes left but I ordered just one: chocolate caramel toffee ($2.95). These cupcakes are cheaper than Sprinkles and a tiny bit larger in size. After dinner, I came home and was sad that the cupcake frosting got stuck on the inside of the bag, so naturally I decided to take a bite despite being full from dinner. The cake was moist and the frosting was really tasty. The toffee bits lent a slight crunch to an otherwise phenomenal cupcake. Granted, I was only able to have a few bites, but I daresay, Frosted Cupcakery has some of the best cupcakes I've ever had. I can't wait to try out their other flavors. read more
Of the four chosen ones from this cupcakery, the chocolate stole the show. It was the cynic of the bunch, slightly bitter... perhaps because dark choc was used. The pretty red velvet cupcake lacked flavor, and my eyes approved more so than my tastebuds. Coconut and strawberry were so-so. Not rock star flavors, but showed off the cupcake batter well. I'd pay the extra Mr. Washington per cupcake for Frosted's goods over Miss Priss'. read more

Local Long Beach cupcake bakery, and one of the only places worth stopping at in Belmont Shore. Frosted focuses on classic flavors like red velvet and buttercream-nothing trendy or wannabe artisan. Their cupcakes are huge, the perfect portion for someone with a serious sweet tooth. They are currently open for takeout and delivery during the Covid-19 pandemic. I ordered 3 cupcakes one hour before closing, and was pleasantly surprised to receive 6 cupcakes at my doorstep-extras from the night that would have otherwise been thrown away. So sweet! The Royal White with Vanilla Buttercream, and Chocolate with Chocolate Buttercream cupcakes were exceptional. Smooth, decadently rich all butter icing, piled atop moist, melt in your mouth cake. 10/10. The Vegan Cupcake's chocolate base tasted identical to the non-vegan one, but sadly, the icing was inedible-A cloying mouth punch of straight confectioners sugar, and what I believe was supposed to be strawberry flavor. I love that Frosted now always has at least one vegan flavor, but their vegan icing recipe needs improvement. read more

I was obsessed with this place in college. I remember my roommates and I would go out of our way here before or after finals to give ourselves that special sweet treat. I was in the area and decided to swing in. I was a little disappointed as the cakes were a little drier than I remembered. Over all, it was still delicious and I would come back if I were in the area. I wouldn't go out of my way for them any more. Tasted the following since I was with on of my friends: Orange cream: 4/5 - tasted like an Orange Julius in cupcake form. very tasty and one of their more popular flavors. Lemon: 4/5 - this used to be my FAVORITE flavor but it was lacking a bit on the lemon and was drier than the other cupcakes. still good and I would still opt to get it again. Nutella: 4/5 - can't go wrong with Nutella. I love that the frosting literally tastes like a spoonful of Nutella! Cookies & Cream: 5/5 - as basic as this flavor is, it was one of the best. this was the only one that was not as dry as the others. I love me my oreos and these were packed with it. So good! All in all, great cupcakes. On the pricier end but worth a taste. Get here early because it is quite popular and they sell out of flavors toward the end of the night. read more

It's one of my favorite places for cupcakes. Their cupcakes are light and moist with a buttercream frosting that's just right. Many flavors to choose from as well as vegan options. Love their frosted sugar cookies as well. Frosted is always on point. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. read more

I'd have to say that these are the best cupcakes I've had in Southern California. The cakes are moist without being dense, and the frosting is DELICIOUS. Unlike Sprinkle's unstomachable frosting shots, I could eat spoonfuls of this stuff! Cupcake balance is found here. My friend and I split the red velvet and the chocolate buttercream toffee cupcakes ($2.95 each) and we literally scraped off every last bit - they're that good. We also split one of the huge giant ice cream filled cupcakes ($4.95) in chocolate with chocolate buttercream frosting and mint chocolate chip ice cream. Yum as well, but we could have very well just stuffed some store bought ice cream into one of their regular cupcakes to save the extra two bucks, but eh... Free birthday candles for those unprepared, spontaneous birthday greetings :) read more
CUPCAKES EVERYWHERE! While in Long Beach for the Dragon Boat festival, a few of my friends and I were exploring the streets while waiting for our seats to be ready for dinner. We came upon this cupcake place and decided to yelp it. We saw so many good reviews that we decided to give it a try and see what the hype was about. And boy, were these cupcakes amazing especially their red velvet ones (my favorite)! I ordered their Red Velvet High Top Cupcake and though it was smaller than a regular cupcake it was mouth-watering! I literally could eat/inhale like 20 of them, but I shouldn't because it's unhealthy and a bit expensive but worth it to give it a try. UPDATE: A few months ago I wrote in about the shop girl who refused to use the frosted sticker unless prompted to do so... Well, Frosted has redeemed herself by way of an unassuming cashier who was polite, kind, as well as sweet. Yesterday, I ordered two cupcakes to be placed in a box for travel. When it was time to pay, I noticed the true gem, the seal of approval, the mark of good marketing and branding... the infamous Frosted sticker. It was placed without prompt, without having to ask. My favorite cupcake place!! My cousin used to live in Belmont Shores and was always raving about the cupcakes, so of course I had to try them! One bite and I've been hooked ever since! The cupcakes are always moist and complemented with frosting that isn't overbearingly sweet. I've sampled several flavors and haven't been disappointed yet! The also have pupcakes for dogs which my dog when nuts over! read more
I have been on a search for the best cupcakes since S******** opened in Beverly Hills. I have stopped searching for a while so haven't checked out newer places but by far I like this place. The frosting for the cupcakes I got (toffee caramel, peanut butter, chocolate chocolate, and orange cream cheese) is not waxy, or not powdered sandy sugary, or too sweet, or too greasy or too distinctively flavored. Thick textured subtle flavored frosting goes well with not too dry or not too moist cakes. I liked peanut butter with light crunchy topping bits, and cream cheesy orange cupcake. I wish they have more flavors. Parking sucks, shop is cute, not many locations, friendly staff, I will definitely crave these cupcakes sometimes. read more
