Garage door motor died and we used Yelp Projects to get help, worked so well!…read more Matt and Blake were quick to respond and also very genuine in their assessment of our situation. They seemed very capable Of replacing our garage door motor and belt drive. They didn't specialize in our type of motor but offered a replacement option and bid three levels of replacement fully installed. They were friendly and I did not have a negative experience. We ended up using a different complaint but I have to say that this company was the first to respond to the project request before 7am in the morning and they were at our home to assess by 10am. I had a great experience and feel like they could have done the work just as easily.

It has now been over a week since the inspection, and I am still waiting for an estimate. I find it difficult to understand why it would take this long to obtain pricing for rollers and cables. I understand that delays can happen, but the lack of follow-up and the amount of time this is taking are unacceptable. This is very poor customer service.

outrageously over price...do your homework. here is what AI said about my costs:…read more$3,000 is well above the typical price for replacing a standard 2-car garage door opener (with rail), torsion springs, and rollers. For comparison, a typical installed total is: * Opener with rail: $400-$900 * Pair of torsion springs: $250-$500 * Rollers: $150-$300 That puts most jobs in the $1,000-$1,400 range, with $1,500-$1,800 being more common if you're getting a premium opener or additional parts replaced. A $3,000 quote could be reasonable only if it includes significant additional work, such as: * A brand-new garage door * New tracks * New cables, drums, bearings, and bottom brackets * Structural repairs to the framing * A premium wall-mounted opener with extra accessories * Multiple doors being serviced If it's just one existing 2-car garage door and they're replacing the opener, rail, springs, and rollers, $3,000 would be much higher than I'd expect.

This is NOT the Garage Doctor as run by Trapper. It's one of these companies buying up all the…read moresmaller ones, and letting them keep their names. The ethic seems to be around upselling, making sales so they can go to the sales gathering in Hawaii, that sort of thing. I called for service of the backup battery...and $2000 later, I have a new this and that, except now, neither light on the opener comes on, so I drive into my garage in the dark. I have less functionality than before I called for service. The friendly sell-me-everything-in-the-truck guy became quite snarly when I called him back to look at the (now worse) opener lights. Yep, the guy put in writing that I need a new opener (another $1500), and yep, I was stupid in listening to the fast talk for how the new springs and bearings would make everything work better. Then we found A-Team when our opener broke, and the person that came out for repair suggested we have them quote the doors. When I got the quote, I was very skeptical. The price for doors of the same visual style was 50% less than the other quotes I had. I then did a side by side comparison of the door quality, and the thickness, backing/build and r value were all better on the A-Team doors. We pulled the trigger and were quoted 6 weeks. 6 weeks later - almost to the day - the doors were delivered to A-Team, and they were ready to install them immediately. They came out that day and installed both doors in a matter of hours. These were not cheap doors - and we were in-part paying for style... faux wood metal doors with window panes and proper insulation ruggedness for 8,200 feet. One of my biggest concerns was whether they would look like wood or would the pattern repeat and be obvious. Not only did they look great to my eye, but I just got the best compliment from my neighbor who asked, are those wood doors? Just what I wanted to hear! A-Team truly are just that. Don't hesitate to reach out to Patrick or John... they're the best!
