I love this place. First of all I don't have much firearm experience so it's kinda Cool being in the presnce of people who have experience and lots of knowledge. Then they play Christian music while you shop big plus . All that's missing is food. Lol I love this place. read more

"Wonderful" customer service over the phone. Lady Definitely needs to work on her attitude.

This is the most unfriendly staff to persons who are not members and they lacks knowledge about accessories for firearms. A complete weapon description was given to a staff member and they gave my husband a magazine for a weapon not even in the range of the magazine requested. They refused to do a refund of any type because it's a cash sale, because the staff member didnt take the time to enter the personal information to make my husband a customer. When did cash become an unacceptable tender for a product? To find out it was a credit card purchase. I went back to question this Matt Purdue stated he purchased a gift card out of his own money to do a return of the product. There was several conversations amongst the staff. Unsure what really happen. I just know I recommend not entering the doors of this establishment. If you are purchasing from here you better have a model and probably a serial number to get what you need. I was very put back on how the staff discard me until I pressed the issue. If their staff member had done there job correctly this would not have been the review. Matt Purdue you can also work on your demeanor. read more

Wonderful place with many friendly, knowledgeable folks working there. Huge selection of Sig and others. Have yet to try the range but the store wins my award for most amazing toy store in Kansas City. read more

While I will agree that getting someone to talk to you can be a challenge at the Lees Summit store, if you're patient you won't be disappointed. I shopped a particular gun for about a month before finally buying it and the staff was always patient with me. I've purchased two handguns from the store in the past six months and its been a great experience both times. Also belong to the range, never have a problem getting a lane and they always seem to have something available for range ammo. read more

The staff here is so friendly and welcoming! The atmosphere is fun, and I love the boutique selection while my boyfriend is looking at the guns and knives. I haven't been to the range yet, but I definitely will! I love frontier justice! read more

I was treated very poorly and Im highly upset about the way I was treated today at your Lee Summit location. The assistant manger had a very bad attitude with my party after I asked for a refund. She is very unprofessional and doesn't have any people skills. In my opinion she should definitely be fired by the way she handle the situation. Other customers were witnessing her madness. The instructor told us we couldn't shoot the rounds we bought from your location, we didn't shoot not one shot off in the range, and was told they will not refund us. Eventually we were refunded for the ammo purchased but not the range fees which were never utilized. Mark the instructor is a witness to chaos, which never had to be. I just want my money for the unused range fees. Thank you. Update, the Gm of Frontier Justice got in touch with me asap to resolve the issue. I must say he was very professional and understanding. So thumbs up to Gm Josh, Thanks again read more

My review is in regards to the gunsmith service. I have had many good experiences with gunsmiths, but this one takes the gold medal. Stuart and the staff are extremely friendly and not the flattering types, but they had genuinely care for the customers. From the moment I walked in the store, I felt well taken care of and appreciated! It was top notch customer service! Not just that, but most places estimate a minimum of a week for work to be done, but I came in with two trigger jobs and a night sight installation needed... took about an hour! IMPRESSIVE! Now, I can't speak of the quality of the job yet, because I haven't gone to the range, but I have a good feeling that it was well done. This place has won a lifetime customer. Will be coming here for all my gunsmith needs. read more

Helped me walk through the purchase of a silencer and helped me all the way through. Kept me updated and spent a lot more time helping me than their meager fee would have suggested. Highly recommend read more

The staff is very informative and helpful. I looked at many options and they happily took the time to make sure I understood differences and felt confident in my decisions. I've loved this place and has been one of the two go-to places; however, I was extremely frustrated and disappointed my last visit. I've always shot with 3 prsn'l in rotation and this time, my dad was with us from New England. The issue was that they kept insisting that only 2 of us can go in and there was no viewing area either for the 3rd person waiting outside. read more

Frontier Justice is just one of the best gun shops / ranges that I have ever attended in my 45 plus years of punching paper. Their business model is second to none and it is my hope that they continue on the path to becoming a national gun resource! Their prices are fair and their employees are second to none. Every time I visit them in Lee's Summit it just makes me want to purchase another firearm. They are just that good! Enjoy! read more

Great shooting facility in the Lee's Summit / Independence area. The lane and rental lanes are a little pricy, but the friendly and professional staff make up for it. The pistol and rifle ranges are excellent with state of the art machinery. Clean facility, well lit, and lots of knowledgeable staff. My go-to shooting range in the KCMO greater area! read more

They called and harassed me about a negative Google review I left, using the information I was required to give them to shoot. I had a negative experience with one of the shop's employees, an older woman near the clothing area, and though it didn't stop me from shooting that day, it left a bad taste in my mouth. It was disappointing too, as the range and other employees were always top-notch. Several days after my visit, I received a text message asking me to leave a positive review on Google. I thought that was strange, spamming your customer's texts for reviews; I don't remember an option to opt-out when required to give my phone number to shoot. Still, I took the opportunity to write about the experience I had even though the text link went to a page that asks you NOT to leave a negative review. Now here's the kicker. I posted the review on Sunday. At 9 am Monday, I received a response on Google; boilerplate stuff apologizing and assuring me they would look into it, okay fine, they heard me, I expected that answer, end of the story. Nope. Not 15 minutes later, I get a phone call; it's Frontier Justice calling about my bad review. They ask what they can do to make it better. I stated that there was nothing they could do; I wasn't trying to get anyone in trouble; I just wanted them to know about the situation. My answer wasn't good enough, as the woman on the phone pressed harder. She started getting sarcastic and saying things like, "Oh, we'll have the ladies upfront smile more," which is a not so subtle way of calling me sexist. I told her that smiling was not the issue and that the way she spoke with me was precisely the issue. By the end of the call, she mocked me, amplifying my suspicion that my first encounter wasn't in isolation. Beyond the bizarre phone call, which only served to hammer home the bad experience I had, the call itself was unnecessary and unprofessional. You must give them your information to shoot, which is normal, but there is no option to opt-out of marketing calls. I have never had a range call me for any reason, and I would assume if they did, it would be because I left something, fine. To get a call about a review I left is a whole new level invasive. If they are this flippant with my data because of a bad review, what assurance do we have that they are not selling it to third-parties? read more

Let's start with the only potential negative - they're often busy. Be patient. There's a reason. Well, several reasons. The staff is focused on each individual customer - sometimes they do need to assist more than one person at a time, but I've never had an issue with them remembering what I needed or forgetting me. The majority of firearm dealerships in KC are fairly dingy, good ol' boy kind of shops that will get you what you need, assuming you know what that is - FJ is the ideal place to start learning and grow into it. The staff is trained top to bottom on customer care and product knowledge, and while they will definitely make "recommendations" on add-ons, I've never known one to be pushy or use any sales tactics. They just throw it out there and let you decide if you need it. Originally, I was frustrated that there isn't one up North of the river - until I realized just how much more that would cost me. Keep 'em south, we're good. read more

Used the indoor pistol range here. Friendly staff, nice facility and nice selection of rental pistols. Got to rent a 1911 Ed Brown ($3,500) pistol. They also have a rifle, tactical and an archery range. Range and pistol rentals are a little on the higher side, but this is a new/high end facility. They also allowed us to practice with our 50cal Desert Eagle. read more

Frontier Justice - Gun/Rifle Ranges Near Me - Lee's Summit, Missouri

So let's start off by admitting that yes, the management has clearly decided to wear their religion on their sleeve. Some people have issues with religious tolerance, so for those folks, this might not be a place you'd feel comfortable. Personally, as a Jew, I've never felt uncomfortable. The staff have always been friendly, and the diverse customer base I see here regularly hints at them treating everyone with respect. The atmosphere is overall very welcoming. This is definitely not your typical gun shop, and their selection of firearms is better than most in the area. Prices for firearms range to average to a bit high on the higher end, but I've not noticed anything I'd call outrageous. Their ammo prices are in the reasonable range too - and are a fair bit cheaper than Bass Pro up the street. Range fees are $15 for one person in a lane or $25 for two people in a lane. This is for *all day*, and when I usually go around mid day / afternoon on a Saturday, it's never been so crowded that I haven't had all access to my lane. This is extremely competetive, and when you factor in that this is indoor, climate controlled space, I'd say it's a winner overall during much of the year. For comparison's sake, modoc's facility in East Independence/North Blue Springs is $3 per person per hour, and that's an outdoor facility. Range rules are pretty friendly - they have full auto support and even full auto rentals available. One rule worthy of note is that they don't allow shot at all, so if you're bringing a shotty, you'll need to pick up some slugs. They also have a wide assortment of clothing and accessories, and this is where the prices can be a bit on the high side. They stock mostly 5.11 gear, which I'm generally fond of as a "tactical stuff" brand, but their prices are somewhat higher than amazon for most stuff I've looked at. Their clothing mostly falls into the same category. Overall, this place is great. Their ranges are nice, everything is exceptionally well maintained and modern, and there's even a cafe where you and your spouse can hang out while swapping out between who's on the range and who's watching the kid(s). read more

One of the best shooting ranges I have ever been to. the best thing may be a trivial thing to some, but to me it can make or break whether I go back to a gun range- target bounce. I've gone to Bass Pro, but the amount of target just bouncing is a deal breaker. the only downside I have seen of this business if the small amount of ammo that is kept in stock. I have gone in there twice now when there isn't a single box of ammo that I could buy to shoot there. If I could reliably walk in and be able to buy a few boxes of 45 ACP to shoot, i would change my rating and go more often. read more

I've been coming here for about 4 years now, I get a yearly membership every year because I love to train and it's my hobby. The Black Friday sales are when you need to go get your membership!!!($217 after tax). The facilities are 10/10 everything from the bathrooms cleanliness and air ventilation in the range to just the snack and chill area, and then the great digitized lane controls plus programmable drills!!! This place is worth every penny if your an avid shooter! Definitely try to get the Black Friday deal and get it the next go around. The Rang Safety officers are very professional and respectful also very helpful and watchful, they have a booth where they can monitor every lane in the facility! I was privileged enough to have a whole bay to myself on a slow day and a friend RSO (love ya Jon!) came in and shut the lights off in the whole range bay I was in so I could test my shooting in dark with my WML on my pistol. The staff are wonderful, and their inventory of guns, parts and accessories is out of this world! Fair prices not cheap cheap but they gotta make money ya know! Highly highly recommend!!!!! read more

Excellent place to buy and shoot guns if you go during the week. Don't bother going on weekends. They don't have enough employees to help. Stood in line for 30 minutes to check into the range today (Saturday at 1pm). They had 2 people behind the counter and the one employee has to keep helping the other cause she clearly didn't know what she was doing. Huge line built up that hardly moved and never saw the manger or anyone come over to help. Allow people to hold up the line filling out a complex waiver that ask to many questions. They should have a kiosk away from the counter that people can use to sign a waiver. Just not an efficient operation at all. read more

Great staff great experience. Worth driving 45 mins from Gardner KS Costumer service is everything. Big selection to shop from with helpful not pushy staff. My daughter wanted to help me get over my anxiety of firearms and suggested we take some classes at FJ. Our instructor Scott M. was so thorough about safety, let us take things at our speed. I highly recommend the gun fitting session. He sized up our hands, and allowed us to fire the guns that fit us best, helping me narrow down my first firearm I was comfortable with. We cannot wait to take more classes at this location and go target shooting with me new purchase. read more

Used to love this place. I would shoot here about once a month. Not quite enough to justify a membership. As of January 1st, one can no longer make reservations online for the ranges. Now you have to show up and hope it's not too busy to get a lane. As a firearms collector who spends thousands a year at your store, this is a huge mistake. I hope you reconsider. read more

This place needs to update ever employee on what forms to take an not to take when a address not match the place a person is currently living not going to ask a manager and they say yes so they have you fill the form out just to have someone else say no they can't do that which I'm not mad about if they can't but I don't like wasting my time on doing this stuff if not every one knows what an what not to take. Frontier Justice (Omaha) has an awesome range and facilities but corporate membership customer service is anything but customer focused. ALL membership questions are forced to their customer email line referring you back to your online account. When asked Frontier Justice (Omaha) refused to give me a contact number for membership questions pointing of course back to the customer service email. I wrote three emails on the customer contact line requesting contact as the forced annual renewal system account website could not answer my membership questions - no response. Finally after two months I got a call back based on a voicemail I left. Bottom line, if military you won't get your military discount unless you cancel your membership annually and then reapply. Any corporation that guards their membership department so well due to forced credit card annual renewals is suspect as to real customer service. COL Scott (USA, Ret) read more

I had been looking forward to using the riffle range to dial in my FX Impact air riffle. This isn't a cheep bb gun, I have over 3000 bucks invested in this gun. Had it shooting 3/8 in. groups at 50yds and having a good time. I had been showing the range officer my setup and had a nice talk with him and the gunsmith Stew, he was really nice. Then the old lady range officer showed up. Unfriendly is an understatement. The first words out of her mouth was you have 5 minutes. I wasn't sure I heard her right and ask what?. She repeated 5 minutes. I ask, are you closing? She informed me I had been there long enough and she had people waiting. OK, I was about finished anyway so shot my last mag and started packing up. I had been there about 2 hours and didn't know there was a time limit. The whole time I was there the #2 lane was unoccupied until a few minutes before she came in and the guy in #3 was leaving. No hello, no excuse me just be out in 5 minutes. Very rude old woman. She was back in that 5 minutes to make sure I was leaving and then told me I could not shoot there anymore Because of my bottle I use to recharge my Air riffle. It's a SCBA air tank that the firemen carry on their backs to breath in a Smokey Building. She stated that no tanks are allowed on the range, I could have left it in the hallway and recharged the gun about every 40 shots from there but wasn't given that option. I came home and looked up their rules for the range and it does state no oxygen bottles or oxygen generators. This is not an oxygen container, just air pumped in from a compressor in my garage. Anyway, she flat out lied to me and was rude as hell. I'll be going back to Arms Mart where Loyd and Betty are always friendly. I'm glad my Frontier yearly membership is over. read more

Have frequented this store since it opened and have experienced a steady decline in service. While their prices have typically been a little high, they no longer have a gun smith on site, which is too bad, it was very convenient and they now have a fair amount of older guys. Nothing against older guys, I'm one myself, but for the most part, the younger guys carry the load. Recommendation, don't go there on the more busy days like when the race in in town or the weekends, buy your ammo somewhere else, and shop around if your planning on buying a gun. If you do buy a gun, prepare yourself for a laborious process. read more

Went in to buy my husband a $1000 gift card. Store was not busy. Waited to be helped, while men who came in after me were approached and offered assistance. Waited while a newlywed cashier told his life story to a customer, he could see me waiting, but continued to yammer on. The customer kept trying to depart but this kid cashier seemed to want a job with the guy so he just kept talking and talking. Finally he was free, I asked to buy a gift card. He told me the register was being used, although he had been the only one at the register the entire time I waited. He told me to go to the cafe and they could get a gift card.
