Really ZERO stars. Nice people on phone try to help. The problem with this co is the people have no authority to execute what was discussed correctly and who cares, doesn't matter, on to next person to fix and they are sure it's right. Meanwhile, fixing generated new order with new eq they can't keep from shipping and can't touch account for 24hr (even if you have their eq) to charges you have to pay for next bill to have order wrong and adj for payment for next bill to still be messed up. More charges to pay because they can't fix on the fly. Did I say no authority and really no accountability. It's truly a sad business model with processes no one can set correctly. The people on the phone in customer service thinks they fix it but as I said, they never know it's wrong cuz on to the next guy/gal. They can and should do better. I have been a 7-year loyal customer with Frontier FIOS (previously Verizon). The customer service and tech support have become horrible. Just horrible. I have a library of 50 movies that I purchased. I have rights to these movies, but Frontier gave me the run around, transfers to different departments etc. 3 Frontier Reps told me no problem, I'll still have access even after I cancel service. 1 Rep contradicted that, saying that I own the movies as long as I am an active customer. Another Rep said use a third party service such as Ultraviolet to maintain my library. (Ultraviolet will be shutting down next month). I gave Frontier 2 week's notice to cancel my service, and the during the 2 weeks, they said can't help you "you're no longer a customer". Absolutely the worst of the worst. Tried to switch our internet to Frontier. When I placed the order I specifically stated I needed the highest speed they offer of 6mg because I work from home and we stream Netflix, etc. I was assured no problem. I receive the order confirmation saying I signed up for 1mg, which would be impossible to use for a work at home situation and definitely impossible to stream anything. I called them and explained my situation and was reassured that indeed I am getting 6mg. Technician shows up 2 hours after he is supposedly on way and tells me NO I've signed up for 1mg they don't offer any faster in our neighborhood. I tell him about my conversations w Frontiers customer service so he calls his supervisor and indeed our location can't receive 6mg internet service. So I ask to cancel and ofcourse he can't, I have to call AGAIN to cancel the order. It took an hour on hold for me to cancel my service which wasn't installed to begin with, another hour in combined phone time to place order and confirm service and 3.5 hrs of waiting for the technician. 5.5 hrs of my life I will never get back and in the end all I have to show for it is a migraine from dealing with these incredibly unprofessional people. On the other hand I have a newfound respect for Spectrum, their prices may be higher but at least their employees know what they are doing. SMH read more

My internet installation appointment is on 12/28 between 1pm-5pm which is today. I just received message from frontier that they rescheduled appointment on 01/06/2020. I have cancelled my new year vacation in order to be at home for the installation. I called frontier customer representative regarding forced reschedule, they said they can NOT do anything about it. He had an extremely big attitude about my telling him that he needed to wear a mask when showing up on people's porches during a pandemic. Bad customer service and missed promised deadlines. I recently purchased a home in the Lakewood Ranch area and we "unfortunately" listen to the builder and called a Rep. from Frontier. Signed up for a package that we thought included ESPN. When we saw it did not, called our Rep. again and was told it would be taken care of. It wasn't next time we arrived in Florida. (We are snow birds) so 2 months later. I then sent an email. We are now here for the season and still not on. I called 7:30 am to customer service and was told no problem they would upgrade my package. "It would take 1-3 hours" no problem I thought because Australian Open wasn't until 8:30 pm. 13 hours away. Which was the mail reason I wanted it. Well just got off the phone and the guy put it in for 24 hours later. Don't sign up with this company. They have 5 separate bad ratings. The customer service for Frontier is THE WORST I've ever experienced. My internet was not working all though my bill is paid on time monthly. I called and was asked for a pin I was not aware of a pin she then said it's in your bill. I looked for the bill and told her to give me a minute then she said no don't worry it's fine. What's your husbands birthplace. I answered I found the pin and she sucked her teeth as if that was a bad thing!!! After all that I was placed on a (currently 1hour 15 minute) hold. I had three appointments, no one come for the servers call to verify they said they call and ring the door ring, I did not receive any phone call and stay home waited for five hours. I added Fios landline service to my account but was not getting any service despite paying for it for months. This morning I spent 1:45 (one hour, 45 minutes) between a little bit of chatting and mostly being on a chat "hold" only to find that my landline account was suspended for reasons unknown. I was told they would immediately fix it and I would be placed on yet another short hold. After 20 minutes the site logged me out and I lost my place in line with no resolution to my original issue. This garbage company manages to get a monopoly on services in many areas then fails to deliver on both the services promised, as well as customer service. I disconnected my service, and I was told that I would get a pro-rated rate. Two people I talked to said that I should pay the month and that credit would be returned to me. A couple weeks pass and still no credit returned. I contact them again and someone else tells me there is a "new" policy that there is only a fixed monthly payment. NO ONE every told me this. I only used a week of service for the last month at my place, but ended up paying for the whole month. Unfortunately, the area of Chino Hills I was living in is only serviced by Frontier. Timeline: November 2017 I signed up with Frontier Communications for cable and internet. December 8, 2019: I called Frontier Communications at 800-921-8101 and spoke with Customer Service Representative April. I advised I need to transfer my service from my existing address to my new address on December 28, 2019. I specifically advised April I need the technician to make me one of the last appointments of the day as my daughter and I are moving that day. She confirmed she noted this vital detail for the technician and advised my Order Number is: 71923043. December 28, 2019 12:59pm I received a missed call from 442-800-4334. I later come to find out this is Frontier technician Mario. There is no voicemail, no text, and no additional call. No technician comes out to transfer my service, that I would note was set well in advance December 8th. 5:25pm I call Frontier and speak with Charlie who says the technician notes state he called me TWICE, and that he came to my home and no answer. I informed Charlie this is false as my cell phone records would prove the above. I attempt to reschedule my appointment given Charlie advised no one was coming. She states at Frontier, Customer Service does not set service appointments! Charlie states Technical Support Department sets appointments. Charlie transfers me to Tech Support. Alexis in Tech Support advises me she does not know why Customer Service transferred me to their department as they do not set up Service Appointments. She transfers me back to Customer Service. I then speak with a Male Customer Service Representative. I do not have his name. I explain the above, and ask for supervisor. I have Frontier on my speaker phone. I am then hung up on! My time spent on this call: 46 minutes December 29, 2019: 9:25am I call Frontier again. I speak with Dequaveion in Customer Service and explain I still have no service for internet nor tv. Dequavion apologizes for the inconvenience and tells me he has scheduled an appointment for Monday December 30th between 8am to 12 noon. I specifically explain that I work from home and my 11 year old daughter is on Winter Break. We need service. I ask that a note be put for the technician to see that my original appointment was December 28th and for him to make me the first appointment December 30th. Dequavion says no problem and assured me a technician would be out next day. Great! I am happy my cable and internet provider Frontier has resolved this appointment issue. I ask Dequavion for a supervisor to advise of the negative experience. He comes back to line and states supervisors are in a meeting, but assures me a supervisor will call me today. My time spent on this call: 21 minutes * No Frontier Supervisor ever called me as I was told. December 30, 2019: 10:41am No one from Frontier has come to my home nor has attempted to contact me by any method. I again call Frontier and speak with Liza in Customer Service who tells me my appointment is for January 6, 2020! 7 days from today! I attempt to have a conversation with Liza who was anything but helpful. She says, "Give me a second because your not going to try to listen." Wow. Then she placed me on an extended hold. Liza is the rudest most unprofessional person at Frontier I have ever spoken to. She told me I was rude! She also had absolutely no answers as to why no technician is coming out yet again. She shouted at me (the paying customer) "I don't work in dispatch!" when I asked her for Frontier's explanation as to why they are not coming to my home as scheduled. This women was nasty and horrible to me and does not represent Frontier well at all! She has zero customer service and no human empathy. I asked for her supervisor and she said the supervisor was going into a meeting. I noted this is the same exact thing Dequavion told me the day prior. Everytime I ask for a supervisor with Frontier they are conveniently in a meeting unable to help their customers! This is a lie. I don't believe this employee ever attempted to get her supervisor. Nothing is resolved with this employee My time spent with Liza on this call: 29 minutes 11:11am I phone Frontier Communications again for help. I speak with Keira in Customer Servive and advise a technician is suppose to be here. She tells me the notes indicate I have an appointment for January 6th. I advised her of my conversation with Dequavion of day prior as he assured me my appointment was for today. Keira informed me Dequavion just told me that to get me off the phone as an appointment can not be scheduled that fast without having someone above him do this! Now its confirmed. My own Cable and Internet Provider who I pay for service actually lied to me! I ask for an explanation and receive no answers. I ask for Keira's supervisor and after extended periods of hold time she tells me that her supervisor says I need to speak with Technical Support! I so wish I had good things to say about Frontier Communications. Their technology - Fibre Optic System to your residence - is the best network solution by far due to the nature of Fibre. It's based on light and has virtually unlimited bandwidth. Basically, the only limit on bandwidth is with the switches, hubs and1 routers that are connected to it. Right now, a community to the south from me - Chino Hills in SOCAL - is able to get dedicated 1 Gigabit per second speed. Here in San Dimas, CA we're currently able to still get a 200 mbs dedicated line for $50 a month. And BTW, that's 200 mbs up and down - 200/200. So far, so good. The rub is, since buying out Verizon FIOS a few years ago, the company who actually laid the vast majority of the infrastructure, Florida - based Frontier doesn't seem to have a clue how to promote, manage, or maintain this amazing resource. Good internet but terrible customer service & less than honest sales people & advertising. I was told when I signed up that the router charge would be taken off if my router was good enough. The installation tech was awesome. He noted in his records that my router was good & didn't even leave the Frontier router-However I am being charge $10 per month for the router rental. I call & was told it was on the technician report but they could not take if off my charges. When I asked to talk to a supervisor I was told they were all in a meeting & the customer service lady wouldn't hang up first so I could leave my customer survey at the end. So my $39.99 advertised package price is $55 a month adding the bogus router & taxes. I should never have left Spectrum. I tried getting their service - installation appointment was scheduled and first appointment 07/13/18, technician showed up only to tell me he can't install due to outage for their fast internet. Was rescheduled the next day Saturday from 9am-1pm waited until 1 pm but no show and no call. I was rescheduled today for another 9am-1pm again no show. When I called customer service i was told technician came but I was here the whole time in the house and did not receive any call from the technician or call that he was here.
