Maybe she needs to go back to wax training especially if she going to work in a supposedly high quality salon. I was in so much pain, she did a patchy job. When she was ripping off the wax she would almost play with it before she ripped it off. My skin was being torn off. On top of everything she wasn't pleasant to be around, her tone was rude almost like it was my fault for the pain I was in. To me it looked like she couldn't care less how she was doing her job. I payed for a professional service. This was the most horrible service I've ever had.

I decided to treat myself for the New Year, as I recently received a couple of gift cards to use towards it. The entire experience was amazing, from beginning to end. Rebecca was extremely helpful, talented, and friendly throughout the entire process. There was even an arm/hand and leg/foot massage at the end! I tru felt pampered! Also, my face feels amazing! There was no discomfort whatsoever during the facial, and my skin definitely looks much more refreshed and health! I highly recommend this amazing service at this incredible Day Spa!

I have going to Salon413 for about 2 years now and absolutely love Stacie. I am a very low maintenance woman and so I usually get the good "hi, how are you" when I see friends and family. But, with my last cut it seemed like 1/2 of the people I was seeing skipped right to the "your hair looks fantastic". For someone who has zero product and spends no more than 3-5 minutes "getting ready" this was pretty profound! Prices are super reasonable, the service is great, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. You can even book on-line. I can't recommend Stacie enough.

I've actually known her since middle school and haven't seen her in years, so it was fun catching up with her. I asked for long-layers, two inches off, style, and a blowout for only $33. It was well worth the cost, I finally found my "Go-To" salon. I live in Boston, but have no problem driving two hours for this service. I'll post a picture w/ my ridiculous extra-commentary. Stay tuned...

She pays attention to the wave and bend of my hair and is almost artistic when she cuts it. When she's done, I have bouncy long layers that neatly frame my face. I was initially attracted to the salon because it's a small, intimate Hawaiian-themed place (just three chairs in an unassuming strip mall location), but I keep going back because Tori does such a great job on my hair and she's so nice.

I needed a cut and color and after reading the reviews on yelp I decided to try Serenity. I have to admit, I was nervous. I had been seeing Senior Stylists at some of the top salons in NYC so I wasn't sure how I this was going to go. Channel is the stylist who helped me and she did an AMAZING job. The color matched perfectly, she cut my hair exactly how I wanted it done, and she gave me a very cute blow out which I am happy to say lasted through the night and I am still rocking today! I felt like Channel really listened to me about what I wanted. I cant wait to go back to her in July for a gloss on my ends and a touch up. The salon itself is decorated nicely and is very clean. All the stylists and receptionists were very friendly as well. I wasn't pressured into any additional services and I felt very "at home" at Serenity. I am excited to try the spa out next! I would HIGHLY recommend this salon (and Channel) to anyone looking for a great place to go.

I made an appointment for a Brazilian wax and was set up with Sarah. I have never in my life had a…read moremore horrific experience. The room that the waxing took place in was dumpy looking, there were water marks all over the ceiling and the entire area seemed unsanitary. The aesthetician did NOT know what she was doing whatsoever and the waxing was extremely painful. She was ready to tell me that I was finished after 40 minutes of pain when I realized that the waxing was not complete. She admitted to me at the end that she was "sucky", left me with wax everywhere and did not offer anything to soothe the pain. They still charged me half ( like they were doing me a favor). The manager called me to offer for me to come back at a different time for another one. (Who in there right mind would ever ever return after being put through this). It took the management 2 weeks to refund my $ and I was in touch every day until they did. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone for anything. Do not go through the misery I had to.

This was my 1st time here & I saw Makayla. She is very nice, actually all the staff was very…read morefriendly. The environment was nice & because of all the amazing online reviews, I thought I picked the perfect place! I had 2 yrs of growing out a VERY short, icy blonde pixy/undercut. I've always worn very edgy & on trend styles - both short & longer. My hair became much curlier over the last 4-5 yrs so I thought I'd really embrace my curls this time. I have very fine 2C-3A curls. So they frizz easily & it goes flat on top /sides if I don't use the right products. My natural color is a level 6 ash blonde/brown but there was a solid 3 in. of growth in my roots while the rest was a brassy reddish. It was my intention to really brighten it up but also get a cut that would enhance volume & texture. I hadnt touched the color in over a year. I decided I wanted to do a really bright copper shade with a few really dark lowlights to ground that shade. I showed a few pictures of the cut I wanted - nothing crazy but the cut NEEDED to be a particular shape (one we see often in curly hair as it supports volume) & it would also allow me to play up the style in different ways too. Straight cuts just do not work & what I was asking for was very realistic for my texture & length. It's a cut very specific to curly hair & would have created volume & the shape is flattering to my face shape. So like I said, my previous cut was VERY grown out & the color was VERY drab too. I let it go this long so there wouldn't be any issue w/obtaining the style I wanted. It's hard to know sometimes how it's going to come out until you get home & style it yourself with your most loved products. I didn't want it blow dried that day because I needed to see how it would look diffused. Normally I let it dry about 80% by itself to get a good curl cast & THEN I go in & style it with the dryer & products. It's how I get the volume I need. Otherwise my hair is very flat despite the curls. I included before & after photos & no doubt my new color is pretty but its wasn't bright enough to lowlight. She did 1 color & it created a root shadow because of what I already had when I came in. Yes the shade is pretty but nowhere near what I was asking for. And the cut?? It's basically a trimmed version of my original style-less grow out. Yes, my trimmed ends helped my curls to pop back up A LITTLE, & yes they are less stringy but I'm wearing the exact same hairstyle (or lack of one) that I came in with. It's very heavy on top, no volume & super boring. It's also very boxy, which is reminiscent of something that works on straight hair. There's nothing nothing about the cut that's even remotely close to what I requested. It's healthier & the color is less drab but there's no style to it. I feel terrible even writing this review but I'm just not happy. If a customer explains specific curly hair needs such as fine hair that lacks volume, & they're communicating they need a cut to thwart that, it's important the stylist knows how to cut it that way. Curly hair care is VERY different from straight hair. I have not touched up the photos except to cover my face with emojis lol. I don't do selfies. I paid a lot of money for very little result. I honestly thought I was going to be much happier than I am. Unfortunately I think I need a stylist who specializes in curly hair cuts & will accommodate my color requests too. I wanted to do volume extensions at Head Rush but I'm having second thoughts now. I can't explain why my requests weren't met, I didn't ask for anything that was unreasonable or couldn't be done. It makes me sad because I thought I found a place I would be happy at. Tap on each photo so you understand.
