I saw this salon when I googled "cutting curly hair," and made an appointment with Michelle. It was the ray of hope I needed. Michelle listened and clearly understood my predicament. She was empathic and asked me questions, and then explained the step-by-step process she'd take to make me feel like I looked normal again. What I received was not only a fantastic cut but a clear and complete tutorial on how to get my hair looking it's best. She showed me each product, the amount used, the goal of each step, and how to get the look on my own. Totally doable. I felt like a celebrity!! I cried. I left the salon looking and feeling better than I had in weeks! The stress of hair loss takes a real toll. I got exactly the haircut I wanted and felt great after. The only kind of funny thing is the mirrors at each chair, they're not like a regular set up. Big tall mirrors are sort of angled against the wall so you will be seeing yourself at a strange angle. I'm sure it's for the design of the space rather than utility but had to share only because I was sincerely looking up my own nose most of the time while having my hair worked on. I was told by the receptionist I could come in for a free re-glaze and after driving 40 minutes back to the salon a few weeks later I was told it was going to be a full charge for the fix and without prior warning, she told me theres only a 1 week grace period for fixes. The dye should last more than 2 washes and I paid over $300 for it, just to be told a fix would be more money. Also the hair stylist admitted the color turned out more red than I originally asked for. Not to mention not speaking a word to me the entire 3 hour appointment. I will not be going back.

I got an email and text confirmation and several reminders up to the day of. Just 2 hours before I got a message from Taylor that she just got notified of my appointment, and wouldn't be able to take me because it was double-booked but I could rescheduled for another day. I asked if I could be compensated in any way because of the inconvenience and was offered $5 off. I said that I was hoping for more considering I had gotten several email and text confirmation and reminders from their service and was being canceled last minute. Taylor proceeds to say that it wasn't her fault and that it was best not to take me on as a client since we couldn't agree, making it like I was in the wrong with her not caring about what happened. This is how a potential new client is treated over a situation caused by the company booking system. I don't recommend them because of the booking error and the completely bad customer service handling it: 1) not taking accountability by offering any compensation, 2) only giving a minimal amount of a discount after being asked, 3) and then canceling appointment altogether over not wanting to compensate more but putting it on the customer for "not being agreeable".
