The young lady at the front desk was very unhelpful when I came in to ask for an appointment. I…read morebelieve she said her name was Lauren. She didn't seem to know much of anything about the basics of hair, and could not comprehend what I needed to get done. Training needs to be for everyone, even those who aren't actually working with hair. She was dressed unprofessionally, unlike every other woman I saw working there, and I could smell her poor dental hygiene. I ended up walking out without an appointment. Would be willing to give it another try, the owner seemed nice, but Lauren should be dealt with.

Was recommended to come here for an eyebrow waxing by their neighbor, Liberty Nails. The business…read moretotes itself as a "full-service salon," which is nice, but I didn't get to experience much at all of this place. The stylists did not realize that I could hear them when they said "Are you expecting someone?" "No, are you?" as I walked in the door. Regrettably, that made me feel unwelcome right away. I have a feeling that they were getting ready to close (before 4PM on a Thursday), and were just trying to figure out if I was a scheduled appointment or a walk-in. I don't recall seeing any hours posted on the door, or "by appointment only" signage anywhere, but perhaps that would help curb last-minute walk-ins. She let me know that they did not have any remaining appointments for the day, and offered to schedule me for another time. I was just in town for a few hours between shifts at work, and scheduling an appointment for a few days out, really wouldn't have helped my situation (I had a bridal gown try-on the next morning and wanted to look my best). While they do offer waxing services, they do not currently accept credit cards (cash and check only). The woman who greeted me did let me know that they were expecting a CC machine "soon." Which I can only say, will immensely add to their business. There were two gentlemen getting haircuts while I spoke with the stylist; both appeared very fashion-forward and pleased with their services. I can say this about Looks To Kill: I definitely would be back for a hair cut. Maybe it's the name, but there's something a bit edgy and cool about this place. The woman who helped me was very friendly and pleasant, wishing me well as I left, eyebrows still unruly and unkempt.

I was told by the receptionist I could come in for a free re-glaze and after driving 40 minutes back to the salon a few weeks later I was told it was going to be a full charge for the fix and without prior warning, she told me theres only a 1 week grace period for fixes. The dye should last more than 2 washes and I paid over $300 for it, just to be told a fix would be more money. Also the hair stylist admitted the color turned out more red than I originally asked for. Not to mention not speaking a word to me the entire 3 hour appointment. I will not be going back.
