This is a great little salon with talented stylists. Friendly, competent, and right off the Belchertown Common.

I've been coming to Station 5 Salon for about 10 years - since they opened. It's a modern,…read morecutting-edge salon that changes with the times. Their styles, products, and skills are constantly improving. The salon owner, Debbie, takes her staff to NYC and other big cities to attend training with world-renown stylists and high-end brands. The fact that you're getting the best of the best at Station 5 without paying big city prices is great for the wallet. All the staff is down to earth, kind, and friendly; they greet you by name whether you're their client or not. As a client in my stylist's chair, I've witnessed the other stylists perform amazing hair for their own clients. I've had the pleasure of getting my hair done by most of the stylists and I've never been disappointed. They pride themselves on pleasing the customer, so if you go to a different stylist than usual, that person knows exactly what colors and styles you want and need. Kelly is my stylist and also the stylist for both of my kids. I started out with the owner, Debbie, and went to her for many years. Then I changed to Kelly due to scheduling/availability. I've have my hair done by Heather, Elisa, and Angela as well. They're all amazing! The salon itself is uber clean. Every one of the stylists clean the floor, sinks, bathroom, merch shelves, etc. everyday. Even outside is beautiful, with gardens and outdoor patio. I've been to a lot of salons in my life and Station 5 is beyond the best for so many reasons!

Though I have my favorite stylists -- Angela and Heather -- the bench at Station 5 is very deep, so if I need an impromptu appointment and can't get either of them, I have complete confidence that my haircut will be made to order by whomever is available. Right on the northeast corner of the expansive Belchertown green, occupying an old service station but feeling very chic and sprightly inside, Station 5 is well worth the trip from all over the Pioneer Valley. Figure on making some new friends because the ladies are very, very personable in addition to excelling at their work.

Was recommended to come here for an eyebrow waxing by their neighbor, Liberty Nails. The stylists did not realize that I could hear them when they said "Are you expecting someone?" "No, are you?" as I walked in the door. Regrettably, that made me feel unwelcome right away. I have a feeling that they were getting ready to close (before 4PM on a Thursday), and were just trying to figure out if I was a scheduled appointment or a walk-in. I don't recall seeing any hours posted on the door, or "by appointment only" signage anywhere, but perhaps that would help curb last-minute walk-ins. She let me know that they did not have any remaining appointments for the day, and offered to schedule me for another time. I was just in town for a few hours between shifts at work, and scheduling an appointment for a few days out, really wouldn't have helped my situation (I had a bridal gown try-on the next morning and wanted to look my best). While they do offer waxing services, they do not currently accept credit cards (cash and check only). The woman who greeted me did let me know that they were expecting a CC machine "soon." Which I can only say, will immensely add to their business. There were two gentlemen getting haircuts while I spoke with the stylist; both appeared very fashion-forward and pleased with their services. I can say this about Looks To Kill: I definitely would be back for a hair cut. Maybe it's the name, but there's something a bit edgy and cool about this place. The woman who helped me was very friendly and pleasant, wishing me well as I left, eyebrows still unruly and unkempt.
