A dog started barking from inside, and then the owner opened the door and asked if I was going to a class. Before I could even respond, the dog came blasting out through the door and tried to attack my dog. The owner then hit his dog and grabbed the dogs collar and started dragging the dog towards the door. When they got back to the front door, the guy asked again if I was taking a class. I told him no, I'm just responding to a text, in a public area and your dog almost attacked mine. He responded "shut up, b*tch". Violent and aggressive behavior across the board.

The theater is small, but intimate, and there is parking along the streets! I'd suggest lining up 20-30 before showtime for the best seats. The sound is good (not too loud, like at some venues), and the shows are always a hoot! Come by for a show for a laugh, a cry, or all the above! Great place I'll fine myself again time after time!

Once I was healed, I registered for a class, and the class was where I learned the hard way this isn't something I can do. I have a learning disability (diagnosed when I was young) and between that and some OCD, when I went to class I was focusing as much as I could on everything the man teaching it had to say, but because of my issues and trying to keep up with it I eventually started feeling light headed and dizzy, which can happen to me in circumstances like this. I did the best I could to absorb as much info as I could but it moved too fast for me to, and consequentially I flubbed the proceeding group exercises badly and it was clear the rest of the class was on the same page and because of my issues I was not and I could bring them down a bit. So I knew pretty quickly that this wasn't a good idea and I wouldn't be able to fully excel in it, and then I emailed the admin email for UCB explaining this and seeing about a possible partial refund and they left it on read without responding which means they'll keep my $525 because they can. I already know what their first response to this will be- that terms were made clear in the beginning there are no refunds so I admit that I am acting like I should be an exception here (maybe, maybe not) but I just want this to reach some people thinking of enrolling to know that if things don't work out for some reason, you will indeed walk away without getting your money back so keep that in mind.

They have a coffee shop by day (opens at 9am) and then they have the stage & sell drinks by night (starting about 6pm). I was happy they had some GOOD craft beers on the menu, as well. I wished the staff was a little more friendly but it was a busy night. The venue itself is great for smaller comedy shows with good sound & lighting quality. They also do mini concerts, drag, theater shows, storytelling - really anything you can think of that needs a stage with 85 seats. The food was decent and the drinks were very strong. The bar got crowded around 9pm for the show. It was an interesting mix of old school, Millennial, and Gen Z. You can track the Gen Z crowd because they tend to lack situational awareness. They kept bumping into me, and I unfortunately and unintentionally ended up having many butts graze my arm and shoulder. The Millennials were the hyped, almost manic tipsy crowd singing along to all the songs. While the Old School silently kept to themselves in the back. There is a dedicated paid lot and street parking.

Be sure to stay until the end to close out your bill. They automatically tack on a 20% service fee, so no need to worry about tip.
